Things have picked up so far in terms of work to be done. In fact, I have gotten swamped at times (I was on call last week, and it was hectic). I am hoping that I was dealing with a temporary weather related anomaly, for Minnesota has hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters (one would think that there would be plenty of HVAC work to do up here).
Yeah, this El Nino *squee!* is *squee!*ing things up down here, too. This is supposed to be the time of year that the weather cools down and the work gets easier, but we're having an insane winter heatwave instead. Which reminds me, and to get back on topic... Insane winter heatwaves are REALLY *squee!*ING ANNOYING.
Publix annoys me. They sell the same crap that all the other stores do, but jack up the prices to fit the "high-class" image they try to project.
I dunno, he's just the guy shovelling the masses their next load of slop. Sad but true. Apparently, he does make way, waaaay better movies. It's just not what get's headlines. I'm irritated by people making 'Surrendering French' jokes. What appears to be weird for an Englishman is that I have nothing against the French or the Germans. And I know that the French Armies, historically, are actually pretty formidable. Even the reason they're known as 'Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys', letting the Nazi's occupy France, was done after loads of fighting and only as a means to attack the Nazis covertly. They never stopped fighting! They lulled them into a position where they could do the most damage they could and stay in the fight. It's called the French Resistance for a reason! Right? I can't tell if it's because I'm being anal over a common historical error or I just don't like crapping on people without a good reason.
When I find a really cool webcomic and read the entire archive in a few days, and then have to start waiting for updates like everyone else.
