How about this... Stay Celestia's daughter, lower the power to be just under Twilight's power. Quirky and weird, best friends with Pinkie, loves helping other ponies, and is does not know yet shes related to Celestia, and her talent is arranging the stars. Somewhat better?
No, it's really not. The overpowered thing isn't what I'm criticizing. It's the whole canon-raping daughter of a princess thing. Why does she need to be so close to the main characters? Also, arranging the stars is what Luna does.
Could it be that Sunstar rearranges them into new patterns. Yes, Luna brings the stars into the sky. But Sunstar arranges the constellations?

Just asking, not trying to start an argument. But who said this roleplay and our characters MUST be based on 100% canonical information?? Again not trying to anger anyone, for all intents I am looking to seek information.
Alright, I usually do roleplays that follow the basic lore, but allow for immense liberties. As long as the liberties don't include complete opposites to the lore, my roleplays allow them. Thank you for clarifying.
Might as well toss my opinion in. Don't let it discourage anyone. Now... here's the thing. I have powerful characters. In terms of raw power, Azrael is my strongest, with physical strength, unbelievable destruction magic, etc. Other than a princess, nobody would be able to stop him alone if he had a rampage. So yes, he is sort of OP. I will admit this. But when someone says a character is more powerful than the elements and princesses put together, I raise an eyebrow. I start to wonder, were these characters existing alongside canon, where were they when all that *squee!* went down in Equestria? Most of these characters have good hearts, so why not lend a hoof? But that's just me trying to think again. At any rate, just no godmodding in a casual bar RP. For the love of god, please.
