I've actually used this name on a few other sites (sometimes with 001 or 02 if its taken), it originally was a reference to a band member of a band called 'Hollywood Undead'. But I grew to like the word on its own (its the number 2 in french).
Instead of retyping it, I'm just going to quote a post I made in a topic identical to this one that was created circa 3 months ago: Fun fact: Back then I wasn't into the whole OC/ponysona thing, and I didn't roleplay. Today, as you can tell, I have an OC/ponysona. I also roleplay. I never ever thought that would happen. Heh.
My real name is Luke Prados, hence my name on deviantART, Bandcamp, tumblr and the like is Lupr. I thought I should make it more relative to ponies upon joining this site, so I did the most unoriginal thing possible and just stuck the word pony on the end. Luprpony looked a bit stupid, so I took the second 'p' out. My other name I was known by before Lupr, RuinedRoadsides/RoadsideRuins/RuinsontheRoadside/just simply 'Ruins' comes from my love of decaying urban architecture.
I'm extremely intrigued by how your usernames came to be, even if some are quite obvious (Trixie! Haha). It's fascinating.
An OC I made 3 years ago was named Fieuline Tabby. She became my favorite, and she remains my favorite, and I honor her by taking on her name <3 Fieuline I made up ^^ I wanted a French sounding name that was completely 1-of-a-kind (not because originality is worth so much but just for the fun of having a weird name), so I took my favorite sound (-ine, as in Eglantine or Christine or Eponine) and tried prefixes. Fyoo was a pleasing kind of sound, and Fieuline looked good--so many vowles, so many skinny letters. It was a lovely name. But Fieu wasn't supposed to be a pretentious sort of character, so I needed something short and relatively sassy to balance it out. Tabby was perfect. It's an ordinary name that made me think of cats (ironic given that she's a rat, but suitable to her even so), and it fit the syllabic scheme: 4 syllables in an unaccented-acc-acc-unacc pattern just sounds nice. And now no one can pronounce it |3 Just goes to show what happens when you overthink by means of poorly grasped rules <3
One day I was on the way to college. It's quite a boring journey, and it takes about an hour each way to do. There's not much to really do on the bus since my earphones went a bit squiffy, so I learnt to be content by looking out the window. I travel between towns on the way to college, so I go past many farms and fields. One day I observed a lone goat standing in a field, next to a tall, leafless and crooked tree. Then it got hit by a comet. *edit* I just completely forgot that my name isn't CometGoat on here. Basically, I wanted a pony related name, and one which was humorous due to it's sexual ambiguity.
I first created my name when thinking of a name for an OC I sketched in study hall (the sketch is lost or forgotten) that was supposed to be the hypothetical offspring of two ponies, one of whom is very sporty and the other, who likes candy a lot. I combined pieces of those qualities in the OC. I drew this a month before joining Everypony, and the name of the OC was Dilly Star. The idea was that a dilly bar is a kind of sweet, and if somepony is good at a sport, they're a "star." That's part of the origin of the name. The other bit is that my younger brother likes dilly bars a lot, so he's a "dilly star." I could go on and on about why I think it's a good name for me, though. Anyway, what's in a name? Would not that which we call a carrot cake still, by any other name, taste just as sweet? @Luprony: I honestly called you Luprony III in my head for the longest time. You know, like Lupon III? Yeah. I considered your name to be a mesh of "Lupon" and "Brony." Jeez, I'm crazy.
I usually have a username that I use on almost every website I go into but I decided to think of a cute name that would suit a pony. So I combined pretty words to get Glitter Butterfly. owo~
I did not want to use my real name, or any variation of any user name I've ever used at any forum. The phrase "flatulent dwarf" was used in part of a distorted version of the song "teddybear's picnic" from the movie "Open Season", and as it amused me greatly, I figured that eventually I'd use "Flatulent Dwarf" as a screen name, some time, some where, some when. And here I am.
i'd like for it to be the name of my ponysona.... and that won't be official for me til 2 things happen: I make a costume I'm able to go to a brony meetup
There was an older series of Japanese anime movies, based around a character named Lupon. He was a thief, impersonator, womanizer, and a one-of-a-kind hilarious character. He was known for coming up with hilarious disguises to get out of trouble. I have no idea why I though of him. He was pretty funny.
My username is 2part how I got it EpicBroHoof I came up with when I dipped my creative arm (it's quite small) into my figurative hat of names and this one came up. As some know I was on EPR for quite a while before I came to the forums. On the chat I met a chapping fellow who in all appearance was the same as me except for color. This caused much confusion in the chat and so this doupleganger of sorts and myself got chatting. As the second turned to minutes and then hours we came to a conclusion that we must separate ourselves in the face of the general public to avoid confusion. We decided to embark on an epic adventure of glorious proportions to find are new names, however, that is a tale for another time. After much dragon slaying and princess saving ( shouts out to you Luna! ) we finally decided on are new names. Through all this adventure we found that we had become like brothers, almost the same pony in different bodies, so we decided to honor this discovery of are true nature by taking names that closely resemble each-other. Those names where Left and Right! And that is how equestrian was made. Maybe next time I will tell you how I got my name Tl;dr I am lazy when is comes to naming myself online :O Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
