I'm in the mood to talk and make new friends. So what should we talk about? I watched the last Harry Potter movie. It was awesome!
Well, if you want to talk sonny, let's talk. (Sorry, that allusion was necessary.) Anywho; I don't know about the HP movies. They struck me as a little... staggered. A lot of the important (in my eyes) parts had been cut out leaving a husk incomparable to the books. All in all, the movies disappointed me; I do admit I have high standards though. As a side note, nice to meet you Flash.
I like the Harry Potter movies though, and that includes the latest one. Flash, I like that pegasus you have as an avatar, looks so peaceful.
As long as it isn't Twilight, and NOT the pony, I'm happy. Harry Potter was something I grew up with. It was a good film to look forward to every year or so, but like Grey said, the films are full of holes. I would have paid for all the films to be in two parts, to be honest. Also, very nice to meet you, good sir! Call me Merri, everybody does, well, apart from SunBurn, he calls me Plucky... nevermind. Just remember you can drop me a message whenever.
The First 5 are the only Best to me but when i saw the Half-blooded Prince. I was like "Snnnnooooorre." and Part one on Deathly Hallow put me to sleep. Not big on the later one but the earliest of one are fun to watch and love to put in any day.
I do believe that the second Harry Potter movie was my favourite, then again, I only liked it because of the snake! I loved the scene with the stab, very cool effects, though when I was younger, I thought that the scene was actually real, and I miss those days!
Not to burn the movies, since I haven't seen all of them, nor read all of the books... but this comic had me laughing pretty hard last night.
I never got through the entire Harry Potter series. I read up to the fifth book then there was something about giants and hagrid and I got bored so I never got around to finishing it. I always more into The Series of Unfortunate Events when I was in Middle/High School.
Hi Flash, I saw the last HP too. And i like it, it's a great movie with nice battle and revelation scenes. I agree to say HP 7 part 1 is a little bit "lung" compared to the last one. Also, nice to meet you Flash^^, welcome to the herd.
The harry potter books were way better than the films. I got bored of the films, so haven't been watching them. I think it was the whole Half-blood-prince-Awesome-war-being-shortened-to-people-pointing-wands-at-sky thing that made me disappoint. I got quite into Anthony Horowitz "Power of five", Y'know, but I soon got bored before I could finish Necropolis. Some things just drag...
I liked both books and movies - sure I was disappointed in some of the movies for taking out scenes I thought would've been great, but that's what happens when you turn a book into a movie. It's a very difficult process, as they tell the story in two different ways. So, while I was unhappy with some choices (no Dumbledore funeral?!), if you take them by themselves, they're pretty good. Although the last one could have had a little more Ron and Hermione.
It is, but I haven't followed the story beyond Goblet of Fire (watched the movie, but only started on the book). I believe the comic was also a nod that some fanfiction can be written just as well as top quality original work. On a related note, I was starting to find interest in reading the novel I was given (the first book in The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan: 'The Eye of the World'), though I haven't retrieved it since I moved.
I saw it opening night with my buddies! It was really good (the 3D was utter crap though) and my buddies were crying by the end of it all XD But no worries, they both got huge bro hugs and then we drove away blasting techno beats XD
