Hello, everyone. I do not know how self-presentation messages should be organised, so let me improvise. First of all, sorry for my gruesomely bad English. As you have probably noticed, this is not my native language. I'm very likely to write some nonsense all the time, and will be happy if you excuse me this irrepressible foible. I know, it sounds pretty much weird, but I had a queerest peculiar idea of improving my English by chatting with random people. And when it came to choose a new 'playground' I've just typed the first thing which crossed my mind. Where is another forum having exactly the same name, but different domain, I used to be familiar with.

I wouldn't like to speak too much about myself. Where is nothing exiting in life of a simple student, so let's get through this.
Coming here is rather an experiment. So whether it works or not, I'll always be able to try another thing .

Thanks for the attention, and correct me please, if you can.

    1. Welcome. Please enjoy.

    2. Your English wasn't the worst I've seen, actually. I managed to get the gist of it.

Thank you for your hospitality. It's very kind of you.
Now I've better to move in 'all and nothing' kind of discussion to generate some flood and create a bit more of nonsense statements.

    Welcome and Greetings~

American English is probably one of the hardest to learn, but it does seem you have a decent handle using it.

Thanks to everyone. I'm still flattered with all interest you show toward this modest presentation.

Canadian English, you say? This is interesting, because I've never heard it.

    *gasp*
    *falls over*
    AHhhhh...

It's the same as American English, except we spell half the words the American way, and the other half of the words the British way. Accent-wise, it's a cross between British, French, and whatever ethnicity you're of. Canadians are picky about grammar, and we like to word things rather...interestingly.

That is just what I was looking for; someone picky about grammar. I'll be very thankful if you correct me, when it's possible.

    I'd be honored!

    is*
A colon would probably fit better than a dash.
    The commas weren't totally necessary.

With that, welcome to the forum! Please do not view us as lab rats.

    Semicolon.

Only the first comma shouldn't be there.

    *Fixed* Thank you.
And if only someone could explain where semicolon are basically used, I would be very thankful.

They are mainly used to combine two independent clauses without using a conjunction (and, but, if), but still have a relation between the two.

Thank you for the explanation. I must be annoying by making all those mistakes on each line.

Not at all. It has mostly been a lot more thorough and well written than native English speakers/writers. If anything, overly so.

Your English isn't that bad. It's pretty good from what I've seen so far! ^^
