Hey Everypony. I have not been spending much time here and I feel kinda guilty about it. It seems like I have abandoned you all for greener pastures. What has happened is I have found a huge community of local bronies and have been spending most of my time socializing with them and even hanging out with some in real life. While all these local bronies are great, I never would have found them if not for this forum. Or at least it may have taken me longer. This was also the first and best pony community I found after becoming a brony. I was here for brony appreciation day and even thought it was important enough to attended that I blew off a classmate's birthday party. I have never regretted it as I consider many of you truer and more trustworthy friends then many people in my real life. Anyway I just wanted to explain that and I hope to still pop in occassionally, but most of my time will be spent with my local bronies and their forum. Thanks for the magical friendship experience you have all indulged me in. I wish you all the best and hope you all find the joy of IRL bronies to hang with. - Fluttertrance
Heh, the chances of me finding IRL bronies is about 1,000,000,000,000:1. Then again, I don't really look for them, nor am I bothered. I have l'internet. Anyhow, I'm glad you're enjoying your time with 'em, let's hope it continues.
Hmm. The only IRL brony I know is DanSze. Beyond that I also know a person who believes Fluttershy is best pony. You're pretty lucky in that sense. Anywho; I've a birthday to attend.
Heh, it's cool dude, real life friends can sometimes be much better than online friends. So, I support you and your endeavors with them! =D
For some strange reason in my city the are 145 and 30 of them regularly attend meetups. I thought finding other bronies was a hopeless dream, but wow was I wrong. There is a brony meetup next saturday. I'll be sure to shoot a lot of video and take a lot of photos to share with my original family. Awwww I think of you guys as family.
No need to feel guilty, Setzertrancer. Just by posting here proves you haven't completely forgotten about us. I'm glad that you've been able to find some IRL bronies. That's something a lot of us probably wish we could do. I know it's something that I wouldn't mind doing, maybe I'll meet some people from this very forum someday. Ah, yes, I remember Brony Appreciation Day. That day was rather crazy, but awesome. Over 300 viewers! Wow. I'm glad that we had at least some positive influence on you. I guess we'll see you around from time to time. Thank you for letting us know!
I know two IRL Bronies, one a result of my own conversion (who I hardly see), the other I only know of, and when I tried to talk to him, he either ignored me, or was just confused as to who I was. :l Ah well, it's spreading, I'll know some soon enough. Good things cone to those who wait!
I remember that too. I was on Bronystate at the time. Some 1000 people were on the stream. (Wasn't on EP yet.) Chat lag was horrid.
Only have a couple IRL bronies found, due to the first meetup I went to. You should invite them to the EPForums! Then you can socialize IRL and on the forums!
I'm hoping I can secure funds to make a trip to BroNYcon. My uncle took a vacation up there over a year ago, so I'm not too confident because of how expensive everything else. (Carton of cigarettes in GA: $40-60. Carton in NY: $112 lolwut) Ever since missing the DragonCon meetup, I've been looking for any that may be local again.
The tobacco taxes in Manhattan are particularly ridiculous, and only a little less so in the rest of the state. The prices of most food goods are very fair. Housing/permits/licensing/transportation and certain taxes are the notoriously expensive things.
am I having DeJaVu, or did I see this exact topic some time ago? anyway, glad that you've found irl bronies. I know few.. ok, lot myself, we're having meetup on friday (yes, I made group, and running it (join if you're from Zagreb or near Zagerb: http://rainbowdash.net/group/zagrebbronies )) anyways, see you around Setz *hugs*
