[insert D&D quote here] The mane 6 make plans to head off to Yak-yakistan, leaving Big Mac, Spike and Discord to entertain themselves in the form of roleplaying. However, Discord isn't too impressed and wants to do things his own way... Personally, I thought this episode was entertaining. Great to see an episode that focuses more on the side characters, and it was done well in my opinion. Had its share of funny moments too. 8.5/10
Damn, you beat me to it!! Anygoo... More chaotic fun with everyone's favorite draconequus!!! You know, I'm diggin' Discord's whole story at this point. He's quick tempered and has a pompous facade but he's really a lonely person who wants friends as much as anyone!! Not much to say other than, well done!! Overall: 8/10
okay best Discord episode ever I wanted the interaction between Big Macintosh and Spike for a long time and saw a side I never knew of Discord that he's actually is lonely and wants friends and a whole Dungeons & Dragons parody game was even more exciting so what was everybody else's thoughts on this episode like to hear them that's me right here
It was well paced, fun, and entertaining. Great to to see more side characters get recognition. Nothing much to say about this one, it was just flat out good. Overall, I give it a 8.5/10.
Honestly, I would've been surprised if this episode wasn't good. How do you screw up Discord making a role-playing game come to life? And I'm just waiting for the Discelestia shippers to be all over Discord having a nickname for Celestia.

Thoughts below in spoilers as always. It's a Discord episode... so... you know... Spoiler Hmm... not sure there's much I can say about this one. Discord likes to prove how much of a jerk he is by making it clear he only likes Fluttershy. 'Opposite' Fluttershy was pretty scary though... He doesn't even want to try, then, Spike and Big Mac make it seem like they're doing something 'guy related' to get him to come. That Discord entrance... dude... you're not Lebron James. Nowhere near Lebron James. Go Cavs? Discord got the wrong idea entirely. A tabletop roleplaying game huh? I've heard of them but never tried them myself. Too complicated for me. It did sound interesting (at least the one they were playing in this episode) but I don't think I'd ever try them myself. Discord gets bored quickly and not surprisingly. He gets angry and pretty much causes the problem. Admittedly... the 'gamers want to be in their games' is not exactly true if you ask me. It's true in a small sense, but, your supposed to only immerse yourself in the game. Not actually want to be in the game. Because then you'd literally die if you were in the game. Especially someone like me who isn't physically fit enough to survive very long. He made it ultra bad for Spike and Big Mac and made me legitimately feel sorry for them. Jerk Discord yet again. No wonder he doesn't have any friends. Especially when he does stuff like this. I'll admit they got me a little with Spike and Big Mac feeling sorry for him though and they gave him a second chance (how many chances does this make anyway? I've lost count at this point ) Maybe if he wouldn't do crap like this he wouldn't be alone all the time and give stuff a chance and not be jerk about it? Just a thought. But the ending was actually kind of nice and it wasn't surprising that Rainbow and Pinkie wanted in on it. RAINBOW NINJA. What was Pinkie supposed to be? A jester? Bard? Gypsy? Unsure there. The ending and the 'real' game gave me Final Fantasy vibes though. Don't know if that's a reference either but I did sort of like that. I know I'm making it seem like I didn't like this one but that's not really it. I guess I'm just not a Discord fan and likely never will be. Maybe if he would stop causing the problems most of the time in his episodes and just stop being a jerk in general I could like him more. Maybe. But that's just me I guess. I will say though that the humor in this one was pretty good. That's one of the few things it had going for it. So I'd say overall this was an 'okay' episode. Not great, not horrible. Sorry guys. I guess I just can't like Discord.
Probably my favorite Discord episode. "Wish I could stay and chat, but I don't want to." Also I <3 Opposite Fluttershy.
So, just so we're clear, that's three good Spike episodes now, right? Am I the only one concerned by this? Seriously, guys, what's happening?! Everything I've ever known is a lie!
The episode was good; I generally enjoyed it at least. But it wasn't super amazing, and at times I felt.. dare I say it.. bored? I dunno right now. I'm not into D&D at all but the episode did try to cater for both fans and non-fans (with Discord's point of view and the other two). There wasn't much to the story though once the game got going. Nothing really actively turned me off this episode; Spike was good, Discord was good, the mane 6 were good for the short time they were on screen. Hmm. Need to give this a few re-watches.
