I've been a "round" since at least 2nd grade. I don't clearly recall the last time I was ever skinny.
2 things. 1. Cartoon Network is now officially dead. I just learned that Pokemon is moving to Disney XD. Which now means the only reason to watch Cartoon Network is for Toonami on Adult Swim. Not that I care. Cartoon Network has had nothing but *squee!* shows and hasn't been good since the Courage the Cowardly Dog days. 2. Spoiler Kirby Dubstep? YES PLEASE. *raves as I REIGN on the invading robot army base*
It's not just Cartoon Network. While there have been a few good ones, cartoons in general have gone downhill in recent years.
I've more or less stopped watching televised cartoons on the whole, though part of this is because of a growing apathy and part because I don't have the time for those things anymore. (Compare to my summers as a kid, when I used to watch Cartoon Network almost non-stop.) I used to record and watch Pokemon (and had been since... 2001 or so), but at some point within the last year I lost interest in that as well. I rely rather heavily on TV Tropes and Serebii to let me know what's going on in the anime nowadays, so hearing that Disney XD's grabbing the show doesn't effect me too much. I'd have to say their decline started a little later than that, when they started airing the live-action stuff.
I just got to the part in .hack//ROOTS where... Spoiler Shino falls into a coma. Now if only that would happen to Starlight Glimmer...

I pushed back harder than he was able to push me. He didn't floor it, but he was definitely giving it gas. I think he thought he could intimidate me into moving.
Sanity and common sense hand-tossed I fought the car and the car lost I fought the car and the car lost...
In hindsight, I should have just walked out and got his plate number. All I could think at the time was that this guy had just done something horrible and disgusting to people that I like, and I couldn't stand the thought of him somehow getting away with it.
