The match seemed even. Each side had a brutally strong brawler, one with magic power and the other with flight. Both sides also had a quick, agile, and extremely skilled fighter, both of whom packed plenty of tricks up their sleeves. Gaston was already taking bets. Quick, meanwhile, was rigging up a device that Nightshade had requested. A video camera, hooked into a magic crystal, beaming directly to a projector in the bar. She had originally brought it along to contact Raven in case she didn't make it back, but for the time being, it would provide the bar patrons a live feed of the action. Flair rigged up a microphone with his magic and started the show. "LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! LIVE FROM THE NORTH POLE, THIS... IS... ARCTIC SMACKDOWN!!!" (Because why not.)
"The heck?" Raven sat at the bar, a little confused as to what was going on. Asmo opened an eye on the wall to watch. "Well, this looks fun. Is that... Cannonball *squee!*ing Run?!" ~~~~ "Do we wait for a bell then?" Azrael asked.
Midnight frowned at the empty liquor bottles, "Sure drinks alot, You sure he is even qualified to fix something like this" she snorted. She glanced at him "Yeah, a powerful enchantment on it, If you can't fix it. Then don't" she glanced back at the drink bottles. "Silver, you certainly have a odd bunch around" she commented
Silver nodded. "Moonshine makes most of my weapons and armor. She's also one of the smartest mares I've ever met. I quite literally trust her with my life." Moonshine studied the pieces. "I can fix it, but I need to know what it was. It's hard to get an exact read from the residual energy." ************************************************************ Nightshade shrugged. She wasn't entirely sure what Flair was up to, until Rain approached them. "Sorry. He's a huge wrestling fan, and he's always wanted to announce a fight. Do me a favor and just play along. Please?" Sighing, she walked over to Cannonball and Navaja and told them the same. (Let's do some WWE sh*t here. Hope your horses have theme music.) ***************************************************************** Marq walked in just as the projector lit up. "What the...? Isn't that...? Oh, DAMN HIM! This is why he cancelled our meeting?!"
Azrael shrugged and slowly walked forward to the center of their icy arena, a song from his olden days playing. (Going all out here.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Navaja looked around, slightly confused. "I don't... I don't know wrestling." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Asmo nodded. "Probably. I'd cancel for this, too."
Rain patted Navaja on the back. "Pick a song that suits you, and walk out to the ring. Make a show of it. The intro's all about establishing your persona to the audience." **************************************************************************************************** "Ordinarily, I'd be walking out with a beautiful young mare under my wing," Cannonball said. "Miss Nova, mind helping me out?" Nova shrugged. Cannonball was quite the flatterer when he needed to be. Lighting up a cigar, he cued the music and sauntered out to the ring with Nightshade's grandmare under his wing. ************************************************************** Marq shrugged. "Screw it. The studio's been dickin' me around this long over a sequel. They can wait 'til the star gets back."
(Just assuming there is a proper ring then.) "What a romantic..." Navaja pulled his hood low over his face as the music started, darkening his eyes. He then approached the ring, slowly at first, before running and leaping onto the post, staring down Azrael. After a moment, he leapt straight to the center of the ring, driving his blade into the mat. Finally, he yanked the blade out and pulled his hood down, all in one motion, staring daggers at the massive zombie. "Por fin, caballo muerto, usted será puesto a descansar." Hoping that was okay, he backed into the corner for Nightshade to do her thing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "This is gonna be bucking epic!" Raven chirped from her seat. Asmo chuckled. "Heh, yep! Wonder if Stabby Horse and Sir Cannonball F. Run have what it takes!"
Architect: (sitting down in the control room and attempting to view the energy flows of the world, sees a bright pulse of energy flowing from the North light up the sensor monitors.)
Midnight snorted, "Its a amulet, you can't tell what it was?" she snorted, she very much doubted her expertise. "What you gonna do, glue it back together? Or have you ran out of glue and instead going to use tape?" she growled. She was still mad with Silver. He had got it broken after all. "you want a picture of it? Like how it originally was?" she asked her frowning. "Sure i will just rewind time and get a picture of it, or get the actual thing. Maybe i should drag the pony here that originally made it?" she added. She snorted at the mare, "just fix it, don't give excuses" she snapped. She then stormed off, going to the rendezvous point where they would attack the zebra drug cartel.
As the conversation wasn't over, Silver retrieved Midnight and brought her back. A bit godmoddy, but holy crap you need to learn to take cues from other players. Moonshine shook her head. "No dear, I need to know what the enchantment was. The crystal will be easy to repair, but I can't put the magic back into it unless I know exactly what magic to put in." **************************************************************************************************************************** Marq laughed. "I think it's Shady and Az you've gotta worry about. Like you said, he's Cannonball f***ing Run." (For those coming in late, Cannonball Run is essentially pony Burt Reynolds.) ************************************************************************************************************************ Nightshade grinned, shook out her mane a bit, and walked slowly and seductively to the ring which suddenly retroactively existed. And I mean, seriously, that walk was dead sexy. Like, if you were a horse, you'd be drooling and doing wolf howls and *squee!*.
Navaja was totally staring at her hips as she walked out, while Azrael remained unbiased for obvious reasons. ~~~~~~~~~~ "Yeah," Raven said, "but check it it's Az and Nighty."
"Fillies and gentlecolts!" Flair shouted into the mic. "This is one heck of a matchup! On one side, the living legend and the mysterious assassin! On the other, the slightly-less-than-living legend and the femme fatale! The rules here are simple. Do whatever it takes to knock your opponents out cold, or force them to submit! No holds barred! No weapons un-allowed! No boundries! No referee! No limits! NO MERCY!!!" -DING!- ************************************************** Marq shrugged. He wasn't sure about the other two, but he knew Nightshade's abilities well enough to know that Cannonball had her outclassed. "I've got a hundred bits on Cannonball and the assassin. Any takers?"
"Putting a thousand on Az and Shade," Raven said plainly. ~~~~~~~~~~ Without hesitation, Navaja leapt at Az. Azrael reacted just in time to grab him by the throat, but the Assassin managed to reach and thrust his blade into his shoulder. Azrael blasted him with a magic push, launching him into the corner, but making the cut bigger in the process. He winced in pain before charging at Cannonball.
(How is snorting a sign of congestion?) I need a bigger hint, I didn't pick up on it something like this would help Midnight snorted "Enchantment to trap the wearers soul after death into it so that there knowledge and experiences can be passed on though the royal shadow line. Ability to manipulate the shadow realm, hmm. Also the ability to make your mane stay perfectly straight" she remarked. "Good luck with that, Your gonna have to go and track down all those souls that got released. Coz otherwise they might start a bit of mischief" she remarked.
T: (looking over at Marq) I'll put two hundred on both sides, either side wins, you get money. *A note appears in the bar, from Edmond. "The tests that were being run, have concluded, I'm going to be coming back soon. We've figured out the timelines and are implementing a plan to keep them in place. We're contacting the prominent scientists and scholars of the world, along with various companies in order to have what is needed to be built, constructed and forged."*
Back at the bar, Maya and Skydust entered, Maya managing to cradle Moondust in her foreleg with a big, almost silly smile. She spoke, "Sooo, Raven, baby girl, you'll never guess who Moondust wants to see..." Raven was a tad confused, as one would be. "Parentals? Um... I'm a little concerned, but who's he wanna see?"
*With the beamdown sound, Edmond appeared in the bar again, smiling as though nothing was wrong.* E: Hey everypony. No issues caused by the scans? A: (Also seeing faint flickers of intense Shadow lurking around the edges of the world's boundaries, immediately contacts the Council and notifies Darkwalker, who immediately appears) D: (After learning of this, vanishes into his own shadow and goes to reinforce the world boundaries)
Moonshine nodded. "I can fix the pendant and restore the original enchantments, and I believe I can find a way to recall the escaped souls. Should be done by tonight." Silver nodded. "Very well. Is this acceptable, Midnight?" ************************************************************************************************************ Nightshade knew that Cannonball was stronger than her. She was a lot faster, but she wasn't sure she'd do enough damage to the tough old horse before he got in a hit. Az was a brute. He'd have a better chance there. Navaja was an unknown. She knew he was good. An assassin had to be, or they didn't live long. She just wasn't sure how good. Only one way to find out. Slowly, sensuously, Nightshade strutted towards Navaja. She'd seen him staring when she made her entrance, and was hoping to distract him long enough to get within striking range. ****************************************************************** Marq matched Raven's bet, and sat down to watch the fight. He ordered a round for everyone there, and Windsor brought them all their drinks. ************************************************************************ Cannonball met Azrael's charge with bear hug, and attempted to suplex his opponent out of the ring.
Navaja was indeed very distracted... or so it seemed. The second Nightshade got close enough, he pulled a smoke bomb from his robe and tossed it on the ground. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Azrael took the suplex, but landed on his hooves outside the ring, facing Cannonball. "Hmph. About as strong as I expected." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maya gave Moondust to Raven, the baby instantly lighting up upon being cradled by the bat. "...He wanted to see his big sis."
