Why though hadn't I told you he would not be added because all he has done is troll and mess with the forum, this does not warrant a spot in the banner.
I thought you said it'd be in a single theme. Quite a few of the community seem to think it'd be a funny idea. Why don't you ask them what they think?
I don't think it would be a good idea though, this is like praising them for hacking and if they were to see that what do you think they would do? "oh I got a theme and a banner just for messing with them, maybe I should do it more" It's not a good idea sorry.
One thing. Unless I am logged in, I can't see any other themes or banner designs other than the default of the site.....so.....just bringing that up.
I see it more like a condescending pat on the back, personally. "Way to go, Schnitzel. We're gonna put you up on fridge."
Its really best to just forget about schnitzel than put them on the site forever, someone asks where that theme comes from "oh someone severely messed with the server, locked people out of their accounts and on multiple occasions change the passwords of admins" That is not the type of person that deserves something like a theme and banner. I would not waste money on it.
This is a community project. If people want a community in-joke included in the banner, what's the harm? And, on a personal note @A Jewel of Rarity, I think you might be getting a little too controlling here. This was Asmo's project since day one. His personal money spent on something nice for the people on the site. I'm not saying that you should just put whatever he gives you up in the banner, but since this is his project, and he seems to be pushing it in the direction of a community collaboration, I think maybe the community should have some say in this. Oh, and by the way? He didn't pay for the schnitzel art. I made that one. Sorry it's not up to your standards.
I don't remember saying anything about the art. I am not being controlling, even if schnitzel is an in joke he still doesn't deserve a place. After all he has done do you really think you would look at him and say "oh yea you totally deserve a spot on the banner for screwing things up good on ya man"
That's the thing though, we're not talking about putting him on the banner. We're talking about taking the schnitzel thing, which a lot of us have kinda adopted as our own, and putting that on the banner. Basically, it's a combination of an in-joke for the community and a giant middle finger to the hacker himself. It's our way of saying: "Schnitzel is ours now. We took it from you, and now you have nothing." Also, the art thing wasn't a serious complaint. Hence the vid.
When you put it that way I can sorta see that working, but it would depend on how you plan on adding it, is it just going to be the plate ot is it going to be OC? If it is the plate maybe remove teh gradient in it to match with the rest of the art?
Yeah, I'd need to redo it. I kinda tried to match the lineless style, but I went overboard with the gradients.
This I can agree with. I want what we're doing to be cool for the community, not just a person or two. Working my butt off for the money I throw at it, and I honestly feel that'd be wasted if one person got to fully control something I intended for everyone. Plus, like it or not, Schnitzel is an important part of our history. They kept us on our toes, and gave us a few lols in the process.
Maybe you should read my other replies to Ridley instead of trying to continue on with something I accepted.
