Yeah, that's what I figured. I'll probably go to one of the snowy mountain slopes here at some point.

What were you going to ask me? It's one of nature's great mysteries.

I'd have no control over it, so I'd have to let it be. Considering size, diet and abilities, it wouldn't happen.

Would you make it like Thunderdome? Two animals enter! One animal leaves!

Well, I'd rather neither die, but not all animals are meant to be vegetarian rabbit food eaters.

I honestly can't think of any before MLP. Most of my interests when I was younger really only revolved around games and music, and I didn't talk about those with anyone except irl friends.

It's not a fandom, but the closest I can think of is game modding/map-making communities. That started when I was about 8 or 9.. ~15 years ago.

I'd say I'm like 90% not in the MLP fandom. I haven't watched most of season..4 or 3, can't remember. Don't talk to anyone about it or anything like that, just hang out here still, and enjoy cute images and the like. Nothing against those who are still fans, just lost interest. I do have all seasons up to 4 on one of my hard drives, so if I watch them again, I might get more into it again.

I hate to sound like many other testimonials, but I think the show and/or community really helped me when I needed it. I was in a very bad place back in December 2011, around when I first joined up here.

    What is your name?

    What is your quest?

What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

It is Arthur, King of the Britons.

    To seek the Holy Grail.

What do you mean? An African or European swallow?

Whatever they want, I guess. No holds barred.
I get excited to answer something to do with what I'm passionate about and can talk about for a while, given the asker is willing to listen and understand.
In turn, I love listening to people talk about what they're passionate about, even if a fair bit may go over my head, or I'll forget a lot of the details.

As well as that, I think not just me, but in general, one of the best questions to ask others and even yourself is what they think of something, and why. It's often a lead to great discussion and debate. Other people's perspective and thought processes are good to take note of.

What would you consider the single most influential event in the history of the world, and why?

Interesting question, because you could say that the beginning of something is the most influential, because that beginning caused all things after to happen, so the Big Bang would be the most influential of everything, I guess.

For the earth itself, I would imagine the most influential event is the creation of earth itself, where two planets collided, parts broke off to create what we call the moon, and circling around the sun to then create life.

For mankind, difficult to say, but I'd probably have to go with the invention of writing. Similar to how the Internet could share information and reach the vast majority of people in the world, writing gave the ability to keep a hard copy of thoughts, events, instructions, and fiction to be shared and spread without speaking and hearing. Quite literally, history was made at that point onward.
I suppose the argument could be made that speech and communication of that sort would be more influential as it led to writing, but I feel the importance of archiving knowledge and information for others is bigger, as human brains can take in only so much and are forgetful.

Is there an event you had in mind yourself?

Interesting answer, which is why I love this question. Everybody answers it differently, and they usually have a good case for their opinion.

Personally, I'd say that it might very well be the invention of the telegraph in 1844.
The ability to communicate over long distances instantly completely changed the way people did business, ran the government, and even fought wars.
It was the beginning of a technological revolution that eventually led to the creation of the radio, television, and the internet.
These communication technologies, in turn, allowed for the easier sharing of new ideas and innovations, which have accelerated technological progress even further.
