"I am an aspect of HIM," the spirit said with Dawn's mouth. "Do you truly believe you can... can... ARGH!!!" Dawn's face twisted into a snarl. "You... are strong. But remember, dead thing-- I am but a mere whisper of his power. A single ember in an inferno that burns all before it! You will never stop him! There is no hope for your kind! Your world is at an end!" The spirit fled, and Dawn collapsed into unconsciousness.
"One more injured," Azrael told the doctors before handing over Navaja and leaving the ship. "So something massively powerful is coming this way. Olga, we're going to need help. A lot of it. The Princesses. The Elements of Harmony. Whoever we can gather. Will you help?"
She nodded. "Of course. I will contact cousins in Diamond Dog kingdom. They will find good fighters."
"The best fighters. If that thing was only a small fraction of what we're up against, we're going to need them. I will request an audience with the Princesses, and report to them what was said. And what we saw. Till we meet again?" Azrael extended his hoof.
Olga took the hoof with her good arm and shook it. "Da. I hope you find Nightshade." ***************************************************** Nightshade, pushing the range of her teleportation to the limit in a series of exhausting jumps, finally arrived in Yakyakistan. Striding up the the palace, and pushing her way past a pair of astonished guards, she demanded to speak to the king.
"As do I." Azrael turned and headed off to the Royal Palace. On arrival, he kindly invited himself in through the front door.
...Where he was promptly greeted by a dozen armed Royal Guards. Fortunately (for them), Blackout was in the next room dropping off a stack of reports, and quickly convinced them to stand down. "Azrael. What's going on?" ***************************************************************** After twenty minutes of discussion, a wrestling match, and an odd ritual involving a live trout, Nightshade convinced the yak king to help in the coming battle. She was soon on her way again, this time to the Crystal Empire.
"The world itself is in danger of being destroyed," Azrael said, glaring at the guards. "I would like to inform the Princesses that their help in preventing this would be greatly appreciated. Does the name Apophis ring any bells at all?"
Azrael nodded. "It seems calling them myths now wouldn't be so correct. I also have reason to believe he brings with him an army of ice wraiths and wendigos. Considering... I just saw them slaughter several capable fighters up north."
Azrael sighed. "I don't know. A diamond dog who was with us, Olga, claims she saw her turn into her draconequus form and leap off of our ship."
Meanwhile, at the bar... A cloaked pony entered. The coat she wore hid her face well, and pockets clunked with all sorts of bobbles and trinkets. She sat down, a summery vibe came from her. "Hello!"
Maya finished up her drawer count and turned to greet the new pony with a smile as she walked in. "Hey, dude! That's a pretty neat coat, if ya don't mind me saying."
The mare looked down, then back up. "Oh! Thank you! I made it myself. Anyways, I'll take a scotch. Neat. And with a crazy straw, my good man! Er- woman? Mare? I dunno. I'm Caro, by the way."
"Maya Heartstrings. Mare." She winked to the new pony, then quickly made her a glass of straight scotch, complete with a crazy straw. "As per tradition, first drink is totally free."
*The doors to the space ship failed to open, due to the technical failures. But a few minutes later, the doors scraped open as a few technicians forced them* ---------------- Selena: (looking at the new pone) Howdy ( waves)
"Blacky, we're in!" Raven flew her way into the station, addressing the technicians. "Could use your help if anything else goes wrong, but if you wanna get the buck out, I understand. The big sphere is safe, and it'll prolly fit everyone."
"So, Caro," Maya conversed. "New around here? Don't think I've seen you." Asmo approached Caro and started sniffing at her. "You. You smell good."
