On various sites I frequent, I've seen several people try to argue whether or not free will is true or not. Well, I actually usually only people arguing its fake but regardless, it gave me the thought, what do yall think? Some of the fors I can think of; you can decide whether or not to eat, whether or not to drink, etc. You can very well just decide to do absolutely nothing Some of the againsts Ive seen: the brain preplans everything you do, everything you do is entirely controlled by external stimuli
I do think that we do have free will. I will not go into my beliefs too deep, but I do think there are a number of factors that point to this, both in science and how we live physically and spiritually. In truth, that argument saying the brain pre-plans everything caught itself in a corner. While the mind does work where all nerves react to the signals the brain give them. A lot of our movement comes from out own spiritual will, which the brain interprets into physical signals for motion and functionality. In reality, our bodies are merely vehicles for our souls. Though science can only tell us the physical, which makes it seem like our brains are the overlords of our bodies. But this is my humble opinion on the matter.
I wouldn't say that everything we do, or even most of what we do, is controlled by external stimuli. I'd say that the majority of your daily actions are controlled by internal stimuli. The biological need to eat, drink, and breathe. The desire for happiness and fulfillment. The desire to mate. These all come from within.
