Okay, I can get on board with this. I'd say my favorite flavor is cherry chocolate chip, as long as it's made with real cherry and not that cough medicine-tasting artificial flavor garbage. But not Cherry Garcia, because Ben & Jerry's is run by filthy hippies.
I was going to say that I enjoy Phish Food, Boom Chocolotta Cookie Core, Cheesecake Brownie, Peanut Butter Cup, and Peanut Butter Fudge Core, but now I just feel uncomfortable. But aside from those, I've always been partial to orange creamsicles, Death by Chocolate and Moose Tracks. CHOCOLATE OVERLOAD!
No need to feel uncomfortable. I, personally, don't buy Ben & Jerry's because I don't care for people who run the company. That's my opinion, and I'll admit it's probably pointless and a bit petty. So I'm not going to think any less of somebody for buying something they like from people that I dislike. It's really not important enough to care about. And creamsicles are awesome. Ever try an orange soda/vanilla ice cream float?
Ah, okay. That's understandable. And sadly, I've never had the chance to try one, and probably never will unless I can bring down my weight. (The orange soda part of it, anyway; I haven't drank soda pop of any kind since January of last year.) Sounds delicious, though; closest thing I've ever had to one was a standard root beer float.
When I was a kid, there was an old fashioned soda fountain (one of the last in existence, sadly) inside the Olson's Drug in town. Naturally, it was really popular with the kids. And teens. And adults. The lady who ran it had a rule. You could order whatever crazy concoction you wanted, but you had to drink it. And she enforced it. If some kid decided that they didn't like the pineapple chocolate marshmallow milkshake they'd ordered, she make them sit there and finish it anyway. I used to get chocolate orange floats and marshmallow creme Cokes. Better than you'd think. Weirdest thing I ever saw ordered was an orange soda with pistachio ice cream and two extra cherries.
Sounds like it would've been my kind of place. When it comes to ice cream and desserts in general, there are few things I enjoy more than crazy combinations. >^_^< Don't get much chance to try them anymore...
The secret to dealing with excess weight, I've found, lies more in physical activity than it does in what you eat. If I wasn't as active as I am, I'd probably weigh 400 pounds.
I have a pretty good idea what you mean. I don't have a car, so I walk almost everywhere in town I need to get to; this includes making two 20-minute round trips to work each weekday. I weigh around 300 as it is, so I hate to think about what I'd look like if I didn't enjoy walking around.
I like plain ol' vanilla. With an excess of rainbow sprinkles. And I do mean an excess. Like more of them than ice cream in every bite. Lol.
