I'm going to see The Pink Floyd Experience tomorrow (Tribute band). Entire albums of Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and Animals. http://www.pinkfloydexperience.co.nz/
I used to do a pretty decent Beavis voice in high school. Then I graduated, and suddenly my impressions started falling flat.
It was edgy for its time. Kinda showing its age though as the early episodes' animation was kinda crap.
Never liked the show myself, though I did watch it once in a blue moon out of boredom. Pretty sure that included the series finale. At any rate, Mike Judge has gotten involved with other stuff since then. Up to and including an altercation with an evil praying mantis.
I'm seeing mixed reviews for the new Power Rangers movie, but I know that that's common for that type of movie. Hmm... Hey, @MorphinBrony - You're seen it, right? Is it worth watching?
Power Rangers and Beauty and the Beast are in the news and I have know idea what year it is anymore!!! I did see BatB though. Not as good as the original but I wasn't expecting it to be. So at least I was able to enjoy it for what it was. Also, I think I'm finally past the point of expecting Emma Watson to pull out a wand all the time.
If you are a fan of the source material, then yes, definitely. It knows when to be silly and when to be "serious" (a term I use loosely here, because this IS Power Rangers we're talking about, after all), it's competently made, the special effects are top notch, it knows the fans AND the source material, the cast all turn in good performances (except perhaps Elizabeth Banks as Rita, who treats the scenery like an all-you-can-eat buffet), and the plot is exactly what you'd expect from a big-budget Hollywood Power Rangers film. It's a lot of fun.
Good to know. I find the best reviews for franchise movies tend to come from actual fans of the source material. I'm not a huge fan, but I loved MMPR as a kid, and I enjoyed SPD and Mystic Force.
Sounds like it's par for the course for Rita, then. >^_^< Not going to see the movie myself. The first Power Rangers show was alright, but not my thing on the whole.
I watched the original because I was a kid and it was awesome, at least to a kid. Even went to see the movie. I watched SPD because it was on, and it ended up being pretty good. Then I watched Mystic Force because it came next, and it was also pretty good. Then Operation Overdrive started and I lost interest.
