McDonalds seeing it's last days? article According to the article, McDonalds, the biggest fast food giant on the planet, maybe seeing it's last days with alternative ways to make food being discovered by other restaurants. This change is killing consumer market sales on McDonalds's products and could be spelling the final days of the fast food chain that lasted generations. Eateries such as Chipotle have been seeking fresher ingredients and healthier alternatives, which have attracted more customers. With the shutting down of over 700 McDonalds world wide, we will be possibly saying good bye to McDonalds in our near future. See the article for more info.
If they want to increase sales, they could always bring back the Szechuan sauce for the McNuggets. Because that's what this is all about. That's my one-armed man. I'm driven by finding that McNugget sauce! I want that Mulan McNugget sauce! I WANT THAT MCNUGGET SAUCE, MORTY!!!
I have my doubts about it, personally. I live in a fairly small town (surrounded by miles of farmland, hunting grounds, etc. in all directions) with less than 8,000 people, and even with the advent of newer and better places to go, McDonalds has always been one of the places to be (especially on Saturdays). As long as there's plenty of places with similar circumstances and plenty of rest stops in the country with little else to offer, plus tons of people who know there are better choices but don't care to try them, I doubt the franchise as a whole is going to be shutting down anytime soon (at least, here in the USA, anyway).
If that happens, we'll all have fond memories of 2nd rate food, 3rd rate service, and gimmicky Happy Meal toys.
I like 2nd rate food. Less pickles means less stuff I have to remove from the cheeseburger before eating it. I never got too many Happy Meals, so I never had too many of those toys as a kid. The only one I ever remember getting I only recall because my older sister's wedding was that same day.
You know you can order 'em without pickles, right? It's actually a good idea to custom order your sandwich from a fast food place. It means they have to make it fresh instead of grabbing one from under the heat lamp. I get mine with extra pickles and extra onions.
Ridley has a point actually, @CRBWildcat. Custom ordering your food guarantees that you get it the way you like it and it forces those working there to actually make it fresh. My roommate always orders no pickle, tomato, and/or onion on his burgers and orders no salt for his fries. Admitably ordering fries with no salt actually makes even McDonalds's salt saturated fries, taste better.
Eh. I generally prefer to just order 'em normally. Just because I don't like pickles doesn't mean that my parents share my opinions, after all. (Bit of a side note: I'm not a fan of fries, either.)
I'm not a huge fan of McDonald's fries, either. I usually get an order of McNuggets with my burger instead.
Er, I know for a fact even when you custom order McDonald's burgers they're still coming from a warmer. Their not in one piece, but they are still in a warmer.
Honestly, I already know about most of the horrors of the fast food industry, and I have no intention of letting it stop me from buying fast food.
