Moments later, six wendigos and a small swarm of wraiths explodes in a ball of crackling plasma, as Static flew into battle with Blackout on his back, levitating him. The wrath of a dragon is a terrible thing to behold, and these creatures were responsible for the death of his mate. *************************************************************************************************************** No sooner had the dragon fallen than a flock of pegasus wraiths attacked Belial, strafing him with ice spine shots at lightning speed. ****************************************************************************************************************** The wraith knight stumbled forward with Raven's kick, then immediately turned and flung his shield at her. He then formed several small ice blades, and tossed them at the places she'd likely go if she dodged the shield. Not bothering to check if anything struck, he turned his attention back to Asmo and charged him with an ice lance. *********************************************************************************************************** Silver glanced upwards. "The swarm has thinned. Sword bearers into position. Let us begin."
Raven caught the shield and held it up to defend against any more incoming spikes. The bulge of flesh coming from Asmo's chest quickly grew, soon consuming most of his body. Growing further, it took the form of a huge, hideous mass of fleshy mass of dark green tendrils, vaguely serpentine, with a large claw coming out of its side, several rows of sharp teeth, and a set of eyes resembling the ones Asmodeus normally had. This new form let out a bone-chilling screech before thrashing its head down in an effort to crush the wraith. ~~~~~~~~~~~ "Yeth thir!" Maya took flight, making her way closer to the snake god. Azrael followed on the ground, cutting through any wraith that got in his way. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Belial did his fire trick to teleport outside of their attack area, in an effort to make these wraiths hit each other. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Skydust, spotting a wendigo approaching with a swarm of wraiths, used his famous mind-bending abilities to trick the wendigo into attacking his smaller, icy comrades. The wendigo managed to kill all of the wraiths in a short scuffle, but only before perishing itself thanks to its injuries. "How are you holding up?" He asked Daisy calmly. "I've noticed I'm not dead yet, so I assume just fine."
Daisy, who was having a grand time tearing through the wraiths, screamed "I AM BULLETPROOF!" in response. **************************************************************************************** The wraiths struck each other with the ice spikes, the projectiles jutting from their bodies for several seconds before being absorbed. ************************************************************************************** The wraith knight made a rolling dodge to the side, tossing the lance at the center of Asmo's form as he did. By the time he was back on his hooves, he held an ice bow and was pulling back three arrows at once. ********************************************************************************************* Silver stayed close to Luna as the sword bearers took position. In order to make sure that the incantation to activate the blades was loud enough to reach all six bearers, he had written down the spell for the singer of the band to speak when he gave the signal. Unfortunately, an error in communication had caused the the singer to mistake the spell for song lyrics, and the band had quickly composed the music to go along with them. "BRUH, THAT'S *squee!*ING METAL AS *squee!*!" Raven threw the shield back at the knight. Asmo quickly caught the spear in his new teeth and swung his form down again to bite the wraith. ~~~~~~~~ Could have gone better, but no matter. Belial launched a large, explosive fireball at them from his horn. ~~~~~~~~ "Where is Rep?" Azrael questioned as he got to his position.
"F*yay!* yeah!" With that, he flew down as fast as he could and circled around a small group of Wendigos before quickly moving up and slamming down into them.
*As it had turned out, Rep's position to be in, was still covered in a crowd of wendigos and wraiths. Yet at the rate that Rep was cleaving through them, it wouldn't be for very long.* Rep: (grinning somewhat maniacally and emitting small pulses of energy, to pull enemies closer to him in order to impale them or slash them with his sword.)
The wraiths that were caught in the blast radius of Belial's attack died, what with fire being their weakness and all. ******************************************************************************** The wraith pushed a bit of magic into the spear a moment before it was pried from his grip. The delay put him within range of Asmo's teeth, and his side was torn open, exposing crystalline ribs and a glowing blue heart. Reeling back, he was struck in the side of the head by the shield Raven had thrown, breaking his jaw. As he retreated to the edge of the roof to heal, he activated the magic he had put into the spear, detonating it in Asmo's mouth. ******************************************************************** "Remember," Silver shouted, "the swords must remain in place during the spell! If you leave a fifty foot radius, the flow of magic will be interrupted! You have soldiers! Use them!"
"You heard the chief," Maya said. "Keep uth not dead! Got healing potionth in my bag, uthe 'em if you have to!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chunks of flesh exploded from Asmo's jaw, only before they flew back, reforming his new face. He then swung his head in an effort to bash through the shield, but to no avail. "Buck... I have an idea! Maya's not gonna like this..." Raven used her unnatural magic abilities to collapse the section of the roof the wraith was standing on. As the roof fell, a drop of blood rolled down her face from under her eye. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Navaja was becoming exhausted through switching constantly between springing traps and outright combat. He seemed out of breath, and could probably use some cover so he could recover for a couple minutes.
Rose, wearing Sisterhood robes and drenched in wraith ichor, ran into Navaja as the assassins were thinning the horde. "You look worn out. Head for the tree line. The zebras are in the woods picking off stragglers, but there aren't many getting through." ****************************************************************************************************************** The knight fell through the roof, and then through the floor below, before finally landing in a pile of broken glass and splinted wood atop the bar. As he crawled to his hooves, a strange creature approached him. The creature, some sort of living barstool, came at him with a large kitchen knife. The attack was easily sidestepped, and the annoying piece of furniture was blasted to splinters with magic. After taking a few moments to heal the worst of his wounds, the wraith blasted open the door and headed outside. ***************************************************************************************************** As the spell began, beams of energy shot between the swords, forming a massive six-pointed. Apophis quickly realized what was happening, and let out a furious screech that shook the ground and sent shock waves through the air.
Asmodeus bellowed, "WINDSOR! NOOO!" He then threw himself off the roof, attempting to land head-first on the monster. "I'M GONNA SWALLOW YOUR HEART!" "Alright, you son of a *squee!*..." Raven wiped the blood from her cheek and flew down into the bar. She quickly spotted her weaponized guitar and grabbed it. ~~~~~~~~~~~ "Gracias... sister." Navaja made a run for the woods to recover. ~~~~~~~~~~ Maya spit the sword out, planted it in the ground and held on tight to keep from being launched away. Azrael used some sort of magic to weigh his hooves down and stay in place.
( Now in position. Throws his sword into the air, and pulls the Blade of Harmony out of a pocket in the air, so it had always been with him and already had been activated, before catching the other sword with the other hand) Rep: (Smiling and thinking "This'll be good")
Skydust had a pegasus wraith charging him from behind that he failed to notice. Hoof aimed for his head, the small pony would likely be seriously hurt or killed if the wraith wasn't dealt with.
*From a twist in the air the same shadowy figure that had appeared in the bar appears next to Skydust.* ???: Move now. (Jumps in front of the wraith to block it from hitting Skydust.)
*Skydust turned in time to see the wraith connect with the figure, with an audible crunch and grunt.* ???: Ouch. I haven't felt pain like this in a while. (Grabs hold of the wraith, and with a flash of energy the wraith started to melt.)
Still fighting off Wendigos, Black grabbed one and threw it down, killing it and a small group of others.
A squad of wraiths managed to slip by the soldiers and approach Maya. She decided to swing, delivering quick hoof jabs with just enough power to break their icy sternums, leaving them on the ground, fading. "I'm tough, but I'm not invincible, dudes, hel-" She let out a sudden, loud squeak as an ice spike pierced straight through her wing, ruining her flight for the rest of the battle. She had enough determination to spin, bodyslam the offending unicorn, snap its foreleg and drop down on it, crushing its neck with her thigh. "That hurt, punk!"
