Today after working hard on it you may have noticed the staff have gotten fancy new banners. whcih you can see in full detail here!! While these fancy banners were added, they were added to fit the new addition which is user ranks. Below is a list of user ranks, their requirements and what permissions they have. Blank flank just means you are a new pony, you have just joined and you don't know what is what. This role can't have a signature, cannot vote on polls and cannot post blogs. New pony is pretty much what normal users are currently. You have to reach 50 posts to get this rank. You have permissions to make a signature and post blogs and vote although your avatar image size limit has increased slightly and your signature is a little limited. Well you have stuck around and become a regular. To get this you have to have made 300 posts. Nothing much has changed other than your signature limitations are a little looser and yet another file size increase for your avatar. Almost everyone will know you, you are a veteran of the forum. To get this you have to have made 1000 posts. Rewards from here on out are just pretty much the same, you can use larger avatar sizes and less restrictions on your signature, same goes for any ranks after this but we may add more rewards in the future. You have been here since probably the beginning of the forums lifetime, to get this you need to have 10,000 posts. To get this rank you must have over 20,000 posts made. While there arent much rewards we will possibly add more to these ranks such as exclusive themes or anything else we might be able to think of. For your rank to show up you will probably have to make atleast one post after this change was made.
Well, isn't this neat. If anything, this should spice things up for both the users and the forum site. I have to say I am getting kick out of it, to say the least.
Rainbowdash is a member of the Woderbolts, a military organization, she should be the Veteran and AJ and her old timey ways should be the Old Timer.
Perhaps it's better as Rainbow Dash being for old-timer, because it will encourage people to try to post more and get that rank so they can have her instead because she's more popular with people?
That's why I'm saying switch what rank is what. Make Veteran after Old Timer. That way Dash is on the right Tag. I'm a military vet, so I rather have someone who's served to represent the word Veteran.

First of all, it was not me that came up with the rank names or their order, that was tyro. I just put pony to name. Second I'd rather not go through the hassle of swapping the images around just because one person has an issue with it. Everyone will have an issue with something no doubt and I can't tend to everyone or else the banners will end up switching constantly.
I'm just gonna point out that the word "veteran" doesn't actually imply military service. It just means someone who has a lot of experience.
Old Timer doesn't necessarily imply any expedience just that they been around. By that definition Old Timer should still be before Veteran.
Does it really matter that much that it warrants complaints I have already said not every one will agree with the way I made them and I'm not going to change them everytime someone complains. This is how they are. Also going with what Ridley said, AJ would qualify for what you would call a veteran with her experience on the farm.
You can't please all the people all the time; I think they should stay the way they are. @A Jewel of Rarity worked hard on them and should be appreciated for it.
