Maud and Mudbriar sitting in a tree! R-O-C-K-I-N-G!!

So Maud's got a boyfriend, Pinkie hates that ****! I think Pinkie was in rare form in this episode. Jealousy is an ugly thing and it's a wonder she didn't turn green. On the plus side, I've NEVER seen Maud so happy. I mean, she smiled... a LOT!! And, yeah, Mudbriar did come off as a bit of a jerk but once we get to know him, we see why he's perfect for Maud. And to Pinkie's credit, she fought hard at the end to be polite. I have no real tidbits other than when is the wedding? Not Maud and Mudbriar's but Boulder and Twiggy? POWER COUPLE!!!

    Overall: 7/10

Mudbriar is Maud without empathy. She does things because she knows it will make other ponies happy. He does not care. So, does that give leanings to being a sociopath?

Believe it or not, I'm actualy warming up to Maud. This episode showed her with a lot more emotional range, and the more I learn why she's the way she is, the more I accept her.

It's like Limestone said...seeing past the grey rock to see the gorgeous gem inside.

Even though he's learned things about Maud in the short time they've been dating that Pinkie hasn't figured out in her entire life? Wouldn't he have to have at least some ability to connect on an emotional level to do that?

He learned about them for his own sake, not for hers.

Dragonbait, didn't you listen to what I said? Or what Limenstone said, for that matter?

Limestone laid it out pretty clear...layers.

    Maud has layers.

    Mudbriar has layers.

    There's more to them underneath.

You need to see past the dull grey rock, and see the gorgeous gem that lies on the inside.

Yes, in that humankind chooses to see ogres as what they seem...violent, barbaric and antisocial...rather than what they truly are. Kind, noble and friendly.

Maud and Mudbriar are the same. Pinkie and Dragonbait choose to see Maud and Mudbriar for what they (Maud and Mudbriar) seem to be, rather than for what they are.

All Pinkie and Dragonbait see is the grey rock, so they fail to see the beautiful gems that lie underneath.
