Jett: She actually did AFTER trying the hardest, LOL. And I can't really give her points. She's... Pathetic. That's all. And for the LuLz. The day she proves she can be more than a discardeable comedic character, she'll MAYBE gain one point.
I dunno what it is about Trixie I really like, I just like her. Maybe it's because so many others don't like her. lol I know I love her colors and character design. And her name, for whatever reason. Don't like her boasting, but she's just a fun character in my eyes.
Like I stated, she's charismatic, and a delight to those who needed a trollface in this show so full of goodie shoes. But she'll have to proof she's more than merely a LuLz char. Also, she's too pathetic to be awesome as others claim, and fandom made it the worst. She's completely worthless, unlike what happens with Lyra, Derps, and all the other bg characters, who're all actually fan-made, and thus might change. Unless she gets worth AT LEAST as a serious character and/or somepony else takes the first place as the despicable thing of my black list, she'll remain there. And I deemed her an epic fail because you have to be a win to be deemed either awesome or troll. Now back onto dislikeable characters. This is not a thread about Trixie. I could mention Little Strongheart in the dislikeable characters. But this is both because I think this is the episode I hate the most - I hated how they portraited the Native Americans as nomadic buffalos; and because I think she's ugly (Well, I hated the whole buffalo char-design). Otherwise, she would be one of the best personalities in this show - even more than the six protagonists.
Thank you. I felt there was something off in the design of the character the moment I saw her. I did enjoy the episode though, but maybe hat's because it was near the end of the season and I was cherising every episode.
Little Strongheart is in the middle for me. I'm not especially keen on her character design either. Just doesn't appeal to me I guess. I also wasn't that keen on how they portrayed the Native Americans in this episode. But as buffalo's, well, I suppose if I had to pick an animal that would be one of my obvious choices too. I think Little Strongheart has a great personality though. She's nice and mellow. Very brave and willing to stand up for what she believes is right. I like her for that anyway. Don't dislike her, but don't really like her either.
Derpy H00ves: She could be a way better character if she was presented in a better way. But everyone would agree that this episode wasn't the best one. I think the Native Americans should be better presented, along with a proper reason... AH, *&%$ IT!, the whole episode is messed up!
I'm afraid to say that Applejack is my least favourite. I believe that she's simply too kind and inconsiderate/mucky for my tastes.
testyal1: Like I said, she's a likeable personality, but not deep or complex enough. While she's the most stable character, she's also the most plain. She gave motives for people to like her, but not a single to love her.
only characters I didn't like were Gilda and Great and Powerful Trixie. although in Trixie's case I think there could be hope for her, for Gilda I feel like she's lost case.
Yetione: Gilda is a lost case, unless she becomes less Forever Alone. And Trixie... Let's see. I think we'll see her in the future. Ditz is gonna appear more, after all. Let's see if it can be fixed.
@Bamboo: yes, well, as for Gilda, I think that she'l always stay cool must be, pushy, bully no mater what happens to her. as for Trixie, I think he just may had childhood problems and now has need to show off. but if someone gets to her, and gets in her hearth or if something lifechangeing happens to her, I feel like she might change.

Really Bamboo? You don't like Gilda or Trixie? I like them because they bring such a different taste to the series. Much different from all the other ponies. Anyways, onto my answer. 2. Celestia. Not exactly that I hate that she is in the series. She is just incredibly two faced in my opinion. I guess that's where Trollestia gets her name. I love her character archetype and her personality, but I hate her! If you know what I mean. 1. Zecora. She has almost no personality. I wish she added some sort of flavor to the series, but when she appeared, it was way too obvious (more than the usual obviousness) what she was. A moral archetype. I guess they tried to restablish her as a character in the episode right after she is introduced, but she was still more of a meh character. I do appreciate how she introduced the moral of "Don't judge a book by its cover" in an interesting way, but they could have added more 'interest' to Zecora as a character. If they were to improve her, or at least involve her more as the wise man archetype of unknown, then I would like her to make a return. Edit: I read the other posts. And to Ditzy Doo's defense (Derpy Hooves to the fans) she will be making a more permanent appearance in season two. Derpy/Ditzy never was supposed to be a character. Her eyes were in fact an artist mistake, like a typo. But the fans got hold of this typo, and made it into something more than it was, which is awesome. But I also read more about the hatred for Gilda and Trixie. I feel that both characters can develop more, if they bring them back. Gilda was just afraid of losing Rainbow Dash as her best friend, but her cockiness made her lose her anyways. Trixie could also improve as well. Unfortunately for Gilda/Trixie fans, they are place holders for that archetype and I doubt that MLP:FiM staff will fill that gap and allow Gilda/Trixie to develop further.
It's still on the fence as to whether it was a mistake by an animator or if it was an intentional thing done for kicks. I personally think the later and a friend of mine who's associated with the show thinks the same. I think I remember Jayson Thiessen the Supervising Director also saying he thought it could have been intentional too. He didn't miss it, how everyone else did, including Hasbro, is beyond me. It's not that difficult to spot though. But he thought it was so funny he simply left it as is. They had already gone over some episodes with her in them before they came across that one, which is why she's got normal eyes in some still. I had a front row seat on 4chan when the "Derpy Hooves" name was first struck there. Which is why I consider myself one of the very first to use it, as I started using it right after. As for Trixie and Gilda. I'm a Trixie fan. Not so much a Gilda fan. As for seeing them again. This is where they tell us to "stay tuned". lol
Alterego1092: I stated your positive thoughts in their defense in my posts about my top list of hatred. Still, they're too unpleasant characters to be a "nice" break. And Ditz... I still don't get why all the fuss about her. I clearly despise when the character is merely LuLz. That's why, more than you, I'm in a big expectation about season 2.
If Gilda and Trixie did change, then I'd probably like them more. If it's true that Rainbow Dash was Gilda's only friend and her cockiness caused her to be alone, despite Gilda's attitude, I suppose I would feel somewhat sorry for her, but if and only if she changed her ways. I never mentioned my thoughts on Trixie yet, but her character was annoying to me just like it was to many of the other ponies— her showing off. Even at the end of the episode when it was proven that her magic was no match for Twilight's, she still couldn't admit defeat and ran off with the line, "You may have vanquished the Ursa Minor, but you will never have the amazing show-stopping ability of the Great and Powerful Trixie!" I thought, "Is she for real?!" Oh well, hopefully Twilight's right and "maybe someday she'll learn her lesson." I wouldn't mind seeing either one of them again with new and improved attitudes, but as you mentioned, it's possible that's all we'll see of them. I guess only time will tell.
I'm fairly certain that isn't the last we've seen of (The Great and Powerful) Trixie. I think we may see her again in Season 2. As for Gilda, that I'm not as sure about.
