I'd like to hear all about the origin of everypony's OC. First off, apologies to staff if this is already a thread. I'm posting pretty late at night so I'm a bit scatterbrained if you'd like, you can give a back-story to your OC as well. My OC was created straight out of a hazy dream. As I am a space freak (gone to space camp 3 times), the dream did not surprise me when it involved space. I was watching a meteor shower from my lawn when I saw a comet sail into my driveway, making a considerably large hole. Out of the hole stepped a Pony, bathed in light so that no details could be seen. Then I woke up. That day, I found myself drawing a pony that I realized had to be the pony from my dream. He started as an earth pony, but I added the wings about a week later. Since he came out of a comet, I thought I should name him Comet. Seeming too plain, this name was changed to Cosmic Ice because a comet technically is cosmic ice. And the name stuck. Back-story: Cosmic Ice is an alien pegasus that can transform into a more natural look to blend in. He came from a planet in a galaxy far, far away from ours. he was sent to find other worlds like his own so he could save his fellow ponies from a massive black hole. His travel through space (in his true form) would make Rainbow Dash cry, and the cold of space slowly formed him into a comet, which landed in Equestria.he now searches for friendly, intelligent life forms. finding them, he sets out to summon the other alien ponies to Equestria. pic is true form of Cosmic Ice.
THIS OC, actually, is my third one. Rather, her name is Hira. I made her to represent temptation in a physical form. Of course, Cyber is behind this specific piece of artwork. (Avatar). I haven't actually saved a pic of the OC in creation, yet. So perhaps I should, whenever I get a chance. The thread that was made for this purpose is long gone. Go ahead and keep this one.
I haven't really worked that much on my OC that much. My recent one I've used was Blize in two RP's on here. Blize is a character I've been using for a long time in many short stories I've written and rp's on mutliple site. Blize literally is about as old as my internet age (10 years) is. He's been there for a good long time. Now descriptions of him as a pony. He is a loner, with few friends, yet they are all close. He is as fast as the wind and a pegasus that can match speeds of Rainbow Dash and faster. His main color scheme is a crimson coat, with a silver mane cut short and flipped to one side. His irises are a very faint grey, almost white. He wears sky armor when in battle, which only happens when I'm using him like the elven rp character version of him. He can manipulate energy around him and his cutie mark is a translucent light blue, bolt. He likes to travel and sleep under the stars. He is a pony of simple pleasures and joys. I really need to get around to drawing him. Or get someone else to draw him for me.
Are you aware of the OC Maker that was made by a fabulous person on DeviantArt? You can make him there, to tide over until someone can draw him.
That's quite nice! I like it very much! Once you get more used to the format, it'll become much easier to use.
