Well everyone knows its that time of the year. We've been running a few thoughts in our heads for the radio to get it back up to speed. One of these thoughts is we shall gift someone the gift of minecraft to a random winner in a raffle style format, now if you already have MC you can still enter and have the copy sent to a friend on the site. (Copy of Minecraft courtesy of Viperbait!) Here are the rules: 1.Current and former staff are unable to enter. 2.Users must send VIPERBAIT via private PM a random number between 1-1000 3.Users must be on the stream for a bare minimum of 2 weeks and active each day for a minimum of 30 mins in the chat talking it up. (We know it'll be hard to keep track of that so we're going off the honor system on that one, as well as our own memories. Want us to remember you? Then be sure to chat with us!) 4.At the end of the of the two weeks, Viperbait be hosting a procast with a random number generator on the stream or the staff will be running a holiday special broadcast. We already have a java applet coded that will select a random number and print it out. (I'd post the source code of course to show its not rigged of course.) 5.Users cannot be banned from the radio at all, or site during this 2 week period or their vote will not count. 6.A minimum of 15 entrants must send numbers in, otherwise we will not be hosting the event. Sorry if this seems harsh but we cannot put the resources into it if few people enter. Keep in mind that should this happen, we'll find other ways to use it to help the site! You have until the 20th December to enter, though if 15 ponies haven't entered by the 13th then we may close entries and decide not to host the event, so think fast! *Entries are to be sent to Viperbait, NOT ME* so good luck and we hope to see you in the radio! Hmm. Perhaps I'll enter. I'd have to increase my radio activity though... And give the copy of Minecraft to someone else. (Assuming I won.) Spoiler: As a side note If you want this to be as fair as possible, Seeing as it's written in Java, This should be your Random algorithm. Code: import java.security.SecureRandom; . . .
