I clicked the Clear Snow button a few days ago when I was viewing the EPR, but it hasn't come back since. How do I turn it back on?

    Thanks.

I'd like to know as well.
It only appears when I'm viewing a conversation with someone.

For me it only appears when the "Redirect" page shows up.

Unless this was intentional, I will confirm that it only appears whenever I'm in a conversation with someone, or on the Redirection page.

Snow? What snow? I didn't know we had snow.

Probably couldn't see it on my phone anyway.

I noticed at the bottom of the forums home page (under the statistics) there is a snowflake button that says "Snow Effect Options", but it does nothing. Maybe this is where you turn the snow back on, but it isn't working correctly?

^Bump, just got a few snow related updates:
    • Fixed a j/s library collision preventing the snow and newsreel functioning simultaneously.
    • Moved the 'click to clear' control back to the site's header (from the footer) in a tidier and more noticeable format/location.
    • Reduced the default number and speed of flake particles in accordance with voiced CPU load concerns.

Very nice. I noticed before with that my browser was using nearly 400 MB of memory, which has now dropped to about 200 MB.

    Snow Update #2
    -
Added ability to disable/enable snow script while logged in via a control panel option
(This is in addition to the clear control which is only effective until you load another page).
Thanks and +rep to greyOne for the suggestion!

    Yay!
My CPU usage is down to 12%!
    Thanks mate,
Really saves trouble having to clear snow on every page.
    At least, on my netbook.
My desktop handles snow just fine.

Hmm. Now I am unable to see the snow, and I confirmed that it is turned on in my settings.

Edit: After turning snow off in the control panel, then turning it back on, its working now. So if anyone else has trouble seeing the snow, try that first.

You also need to have the Forum Skin set to "Network-Forums" for the snow effect to work. I tried playing around with the other skins, and the snow effect doesn't seem to work on any of them.

Well I think its like that on purpose. The other themes aren't exactly "winter themed", so it would seem strange to have snow.

Pinkie-Pie and Cloudsdale themes are close cousins to Ponyville so are also included in the above statement.. (may as well just read it as only network skin/s)!

Today I noticed that the snow was only happening until I logged in (on both my laptop and here.) I'd never turned it off, but I too had to go turn it off and back on to get it to show up again. Thanks for the fix, Mike!
