Season 9 CONFIRMED for final season.

Nice while it lasted. Makes me wish I'd found out about the show closer to its beginning than its middle.

 

I talked about this before, but I'll say it again:

it's better this way. I mean, the show has been running for nine years now. Better to let it end on a high note and make way for Generation 5, than go the Simpsons route and have it keep going long past its prime.

After all, what the show has accomplished will live forever in history.

 

Anyone get the feeling that it's going to be a tough act to follow for future generations?

 

From what they leak told us about Generation 5, it will go in a route similar to "Steven Universe" and "Star VS The Forces of Evil", meaning it will be less of a "little kid's show".

So, stuff like "we can't come out and say that Applejack's parents are dead because it's a little kid's show" or "we can't show Lyra and Bon Bon in a relationship together because it's a little kid's show" will be avoided in Generation 5.

 

...Huh. Well, guess we'll see how it goes, then.
