Banned because that isn't actually the issue here. The origin of the Okay gesture being considered racist was a hoax from 4chan to see how stupid people can be. Sadly people can be very stupid.

Banned for tripping in the dark. Whether any harm was intended or not, doesn't matter. Your approach to it did feel like you were pointing out that people will get offended by her sig image. That tends to trigger a knee jerk reaction to want to change the image. The fact you saw nothing wrong with your statement what-so-ever, tells me one of two things. You either don't care, or have zero awareness to what the consequences to wording things causes.
Banned for unconventional conclusions Okay in my first ban I commented how I didn't feel the gesture meant what people claimed it meant. In my second one I commented on how only stupid people think it means that because of a 4chan hoax. I don't think the people here are stupid. There's not a lot of us here I didn't think anyone cared about the hoax and I just brought it up as a ban because stupid bans is what we do in this topic. That's all it was meant to be was another stupid ban, the () emphasize that it was just meant to be a stupid ban and not be taken seriously.
Banned for knocking out school principles. The fact that you'd need to use an extra post to explain the reason for it as a joke, means it didn't hit or was never perceived as a joke to begin with. Not to mention that 4chan is cesspool. Referencing stuff about them or quoting anything from there, being a joke or otherwise, tends to be a something I rebuke by not humoring it. That maybe me and how I see things. IDK. Point being, I really didn't appreciate it. Stupid ban or nor.
Banned for assuming I know everyone's bias. It started as a 4-chan hoax and many media sources bought it lock stock and barrel. In my first post I say I don't believe it. I thought that should have been more than enough.
