So the pass week I've been singing In class and I keep getting snotty remarks about how I can't sing from students plus 2 kids llaughing at me. Here's the thing... I've been one of the better singers to join in choruses. I'm not trying to brag I'm saying what I've been tolled. Sadly I wasn't able to join chorus thins year so I've been relying on my self to keep my voice and now I'm afraid I've lost it... It's as important as animating and banjo playing for me. My parents won't lay or take me to classes so I'm going to have to practice. Does anypony have any tips for singing in a basic second tenor tone? Free voice tuning sites or useful videos? I wish I didn't take art instead of chorus... Yes it helped me ALOT. But I'm not sure if it was worth my voice. P.S I'm popular and have to deal with buttholes all the times and know not to listen to them. The nice popular kid gets the same crappy treatment as the unpopular kids get from bullies just because we stand up for the kid crying, out cast being picked on, fat kid, or pregnant girl who was raped... Makes me sick... but I'm not popular because I try to... Most people just like my personality... But after that snooty chick says somthing rude 20 times you learn to ignore her or say something so she will shutup... SO I'm ok with the snotty comments brines I just need help with vocals... Just an annual repair I guess you could say. Gatta go every pony. It's very late. D: -banjo
I really don't know about any sites online, but it's also practicing vocals when you feel you've lost your edge. Now, it's also hard to give advice to someone who is the opposite gender... I've been in various choirs for ten years and had vocal direction for five of those years. Due to my interests lying with horses I had to drop my vocal lessons in order to stay with my horses, but at the time I had choir. Now I have neither one. But I'm always singing - for a moment I had thought I lost my range (first soprano; just over 3 octaves in range) and that got me down. Then I noticed that I still had songs in my range - that also stretch my range - that I could sing regularly to keep my voice "in shape". In terms of vibrato I'd sing around my mom because sometimes I have a vibrato that I don't notice... so she tells me, I correct it - that sort of thing. I'd just have to say keep singing. Sing different styles, sing different ranges and work from what you know. Also keep the volume quiet enough (if you're singing along to ssomething) so you can "hear" yourself. You should be able to hear when you're off a pitch, so if you hear it you can correct it. It's really hard to say, against... because vocal you tend to need someone there to help you with certain things but in terms of "keeping" your voice... just don't stop using it! Sing italian arias, sing modern pop, sing Pinkie's Lie, sing whatever it is you like to sing and/or listen to! I doubt you lost your voice... I don't know if you've done any solo work either... I know chorus kids tend to find it difficult to switch from practicing with their chorus to singing all on their own. Where as I had choir, solo opps, and vocal training before going into a "professional" choir. So... it's... again, really hard to say. But I hope you can grab something useful from this! <3
My singing habits: Go to Calculus (AP) End up singing Pink Panther. Leave Calculus. Go to Engineering Sing Mr. Sandman in a duet spontaneously Leave class. Go to Physics Spontaneously sing You Are a Pirate. Teacher throws things at me. We still sing. School ends. I can't say I sing WELL, but I sing well enough that when I need to do it silly, I can. This happens unnecessarily often in my classes.
School ends. I stalk you home. Part of the way there I glomp you. Then proceed with my threats. True story.
thank you ! ill have to try singing somthing other than country I guess D:! NOOOOOO jk ! It might actully help to learn somthing new ! once again thank you! ~banjo
I sing a lot of different styles, it helps keep my voice versatile. Opera to classic rock to modern rock to pop... ^-^ But if you want to sing a certain style then definitely work on that more! I wish you all the best in your singing endeavors!
