Echo Minor

Ever since I was a young pegasus I've been fascinated by the stars! There are literally MILLIONS of them just floating out there! Then one day as I was gazing away at the clouds, I heard a deafening blast and immediately retreated behind a nearby rock. I continued to look upon the sky and saw the most beautiful thing I'd seen in my life... A rainbow stretching from cloud to cloud.
It was many miles away, but thankfully I was still able to make it out. I quickly packed my things, threw them on my back and hurried to see the source of this beauty. I ventured forth towards my new-found attraction. Night fell as I entered PonyVille... Everyone appeared to be asleep as there were none of the normal sounds coming from the shops. But I continued to stare at the rarity before my eyes. Above the city I knew as Cloudsdale, seemingly suspended in nothingness, was the rainbow that attracted me to the city in the first place.
I sat in the middle of the city for what seemed like hours until the last traces of color has finally faded away. I stayed, disheartened, at the thought of losing this beauty forever... but managed to lift my head to look at the space in the sky that was left behind. To my surprise, the area behind what was the beautiful thing I had watched for hours, wasn't so empty. I raised myself to my feet and gaped at the majesty in the sky before me. The stars behind Cloudsdale had arranged themselves in such a way I'd never seen before... I'd discovered a new constellation. I quickly reached for a quill to record my discovery and suddenly felt a strange tingling on my flank.
Yet another beautiful thing happened that night... Colors faded in on my flank, Reds, Blues, Yellows, every color of the... Rainbow. They arranged themselves in the shape of a that very thing... but the tingling hadn't yet gone away. The colors soon began to glow... so bright I had to look away for fear I would go blind. But when the brightness faded, I peered upon myself... and saw my newly discovered constellation under the rainbow permanently stained into my fur. I could barely contain the excitement. I was overjoyed at the mysteries that had filled the day behind me. I suddenly felt sleep wash over me as I was transfixed in thought.
I awoke to something more beautiful than I could have been prepared for... even after the night I had just had. Surrounding me were the 6 most beautiful ponies I had ever seen, smiling in silent welcome. I'd never felt more at home in my life...
