"Fish? Amphibians? Birds?'
"Is it what you want?" he asked, watching her thoughtfully.
"You don't know that," she said tilting her head. "Three of them, Jack."
"Reptiles? Mammals?" he asked, tilting his head curiously.
"That's what you asked me last night," he said. "Unless you didn't mean it."
"There were three," she said. "You could have been hurt."
He followed her up. "Animals?"
"Like perhaps a moving in situation?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
She took his hand. "That would have been pretty awesome to see, but it's better that you didn't."
He frowned. "This isn't specific enough."
"I stopped by and found you laying on the floor," he answered. "You asked me to stay."
"Okay," she said quietly. "I trust you."
"Planets? Animals? People?" he asked, tilting his head.
"I wish." He laughed. " It's true, though."
"Okay," she said. "I trust your word."
"Not quite but close?"
"You wore pants on your head."
She rested her head against his chest, listening to his heart beat. "Okay. Will it hurt?"
"It's probably something like a plant or a rock."
He laughed softly. "It's alright. It was funny."
