"I had arrogance, back before......you know" tumbled Stella. "I was so snotty and rude. She gives this as a wake-up call, you know."
"A wake-up call from somepony I don't even know! I'm obviously too arrogant for others to handle now. I'm going to guess the way out is to change my attitude." Raven sighed. It was probably going to be a long time in this dark room.
"You would think. But no. Her goal is to keep you till you wish to die. Then........well I don't know."
"Brilliant! Seeing as I like my life, I'll probably die of thirst or starvation." Raven sat down, wondering 'Why me?' He felt something underneath him, realising that it was his hat. "Hey, thanks for my hat, Nightmare."
"Time stops when you're here. You don't get hungry, or sleepy. The only thing you want is to escape. You could run for hours and stay in the same spot." {I have to go. I'll be on 2morrow}
"Time stops? Isn't that fun. So, how long have you been here?" Raven did want to escape, if time was truely stopped, he had a few hundred years or so to think of a plan. There was no rush on these things. But what if it wasn't stopped? He pushed the thought from his mind, focusing on the problem at hand. He started singing to ease his boredom. "One million mugs of cider on the wall, one million... That just doesn't sound right."
"No need to try and pass the time. There is no time here, remember?" Stella felt relieved that she had company. All those years......alone. And now......she shook it off. She shouldn't think like that. They would escape, and she knew this. Her life belongs to Nightmare Moon now.
"Oh, but something flows here that resembles time. It just... doesn't flow with anywhere else. It's unique, in the soul-sucking, nightmarish way." A hole in the heart... Well, there were certainly holes in most hearts, just not ones like this. This was a metaphorical hole. "Well, the way out is not too obvious to me, so I will pass whatever passes for time here." He started to fiddle around with the inside of his hat, looking for the pack of cards he'd stored in his hat. It had seemed a good idea at the time and seemed even more so now.
Not finding the cards, Raven cursed silently. What would be the point of having them anyway? There was not enough light to see anything but the silhouettes of the other ponies. "Stella, other one, do either of you have a light?" He hadn't learnt the last pony's name yet. "I want to see if my bag's here. I could use some batting practice. An eternity to get the perfect swing!"
Rashall landed heavily in the dark room as he hit the ground he heard a loud SNAP! and felt an immediate wave of pain flair up from his right wing. Cursing his luck in his native language he tears a strip of cloth from his cloak and starts to gently bind his right wing. After he sets it and makes sure not to move it he looks around in the surrounding darkness, he could barely see in front of him at all. "Anypony else there?" Says Rashall in a normal voice wondering if he was utterly alone.
Uniqua had just been listening to their conversation. But then she heard another pony call out. "Yes! There's me, and two others!" She says in response to the voice, that sounded familiar in a way. She turned away from the raspy voice and towards the newer one.
"Me as in me! I'm gonna tell you, I don't give my name away to strangers. Even ones that sound so familiar." She says, continuing towards the voice.
"Uniqua is that you? What are you doing down here?" Asks Rashall finally realizing the mare behind the voice.
"Rashall? I have no idea! According Raspy here we're in Nightmare Moon's heart." Uniqua says, stopping in her tracks.
"Ah that's interesting, but I have been to a place like this before, but colder and darker," says Rashall shuddering, "Uniqua how far away are you and the others? I have an injured wing and need to see if you all have anything medical wise," adds Rashall taking a few paces forwards.
"I don't know. But by the sound of the others, they don't seem to have anything on hoof. Keep talking and I'll try to find you." She says, walking towards him again.
"You got it Uniqua, you have any idea why we're here?" Asks Rashall trying to help Uniqua find him in the darkness. A sudden thought occurs to him and Rashall wonders if it would work even in this darkness.
"Well, apparently we're here because Nightmare Moon hates our arrogance or whatever else makes us bad ponies. But last time I checked, I was only sarcastic!" Uniqua says, frustrated.
