Ok, so while I'm still very positive about a lot of people in the fandom, I do occasionally see the odd thing which peeves me, as I'm about to explain.

    Glory Hunting

The first is brony "fame". This is one of the subjects in the MLP fandom which really gets on my nerves more than any other. The people who try and use the fandom as a means for seeking attention and being a "big name" amongst a social group. Fame is probably too strong a word, because being popular in the fandom, say you're an artist or musician like John Joseco and WoodenToaster, doesn't make you a household name. In fact, in the grand scheme of things it really means very little if you're constantly confined to the world of ponies. Fortunately Joseco and WoodenToaster expand the topics of their art beyond ponies, they do works on other things as well, because they know the fandom will end some day, and ponies will not make you popular. People who want a lot of "followers" or "watchers" seem to really stress over getting them, and get annoyed when they don't get what they want. They miss the point that it's supposed to be about having fun doing it. For example, if a person's art is bad, it's bad, no-one will want to pay attention to it. Sure you may get fake smiles from people saying "it's brilliant", but it could still be bad. That's where practise and improvement comes in, with patience and practise the art will improve, any human has the potential to begin drawing stickmen and get to Da Vinci standard with time. BUT, then there's some people who are like "why isn't my art popular?" and stuff like that, which really annoys me.

It seems most of the time half the fandom believe they draw something, or open a music program, and suddenly that means they're a good artist or musician. That's not the case. Everybody starts off bad, that's why people learn and improve. Some people don't improve, don't practise, so they end up drawing the same crap over and over then complain when they're not getting attention. That really annoys me. No patience and blame everybody else.

    "Can you draw my OC"

God this is like, the worst. I make vectors, and I've still had people ask me this question. I've had people who I've never met before in my entire life message me and ask this question, and want me to put hours of my time into drawing their OC for free. Never met them before, and they're asking me to draw their pony, which takes a long time, for free. Then the worst ones are the people who describe the pony but don't give a picture/reference to draw it from. If you expect someone to draw your OC you need to give them EXACT details, they're not going to spend hours of their time working out the best thing just for you because you couldn't be bothered to create a proper OC. The reaaaally bad ones are the people who do include a picture but it's a super bad OC. For example:
-Alicorn (people are used to drawing unicorns, earth ponies and pegasi, to ask them to draw a combination of all three is unfair)
    -All the accessories
    -
Unsaturated colours-Everything on the OC is altered. Because pony creator comes with a load of options on what you can change, people never just keep the normal ears, eyes, hooves etc even if it doesn't make any sense or looks like crap. More is better right!

Oh and don't get me started on how some people pull the whole Fluttershy thing, you know like, "I'd like it if you could draw it but if you don't that's cool too......" because don't tell me those little "......." aren't there to try and guilt you into doing it for them, by trying to make you feel bad if you didn't do it. People don't just give away free stuff to random strangers guys, especially not when a lot of effort is involved.

    Leaving the fandom

People want to leave the fandom, fine, they can leave you know. It's when they make such a big deal out of the fact they're not watching a TV show which makes it annoying. And when some bronies even stop watching and leave the community, then spit on it as if they were never a part of it! Don't pull the whole "bronies are stupid" when you were one once, it's very hypocritical. People get way too worked up over the show, especially with the alicorn Twilight thing, I mean come on, we haven't even had a single episode with her yet and people are going nuts. The show is there to watch and enjoy, if all it does is anger you when a change is made that doesn't follow your headcanon, what's the point in sticking around?

    /rant

So, anybody else got any annoyances they've found in the community?

My biggest one is all the writer bashing. We are all passionate about the show and we all have our own ideas about the direction the show should take (and I'm just as guilty) but many of us tend to forget the show's target audience. I'm tired of going on an episode discussion thread and seeing those "OMG, the writers are REALLY running out of ideas!" posts. Every time an episode seems cheesy or cliche, a good percentage of the fandom gets their panties in a wad. IT'S A KIDS' SHOW FOR PONY'S SAKE!!! On top of that, it is owned by a toy company so when they have a new idea for a product, they want it in the show for advertisement (yes I'm referring to the whole Twilicorn deal). My advice is this, expect nothing and be happy that our favorite show about talking ponies has a new season coming this fall.

This is also the only problem I have with the fandom and show that the fandom is based on everything else about the show and fandom in my opinion is awesome.

People who edit ponies into old photographs of the holocaust. Just... Why!?
Comparing haters of the show/fandom to hate crimes.
People who edit ponies into pictures of themselves and talk about how these non-existant ponies are coming on to them. Even more annoying, when people think ponies are the size of a friggen' cat. They're ponies!

I usually don't do requests for free unless it's for a friend or for an event on the site, and even then I'm picky about it, so when I get people asking me to draw their OC, I don't think they fully understand just how much work goes into drawing a picture.

Perhaps one of these days I should record myself doing so and send them the unedited film, with live voiceover so they can be witness to the utter frustration that comes with putting hours into a piece of work.

This is my absolute worst pet peeve.
    Absolutely the worst.

It's already difficult enough to draw a decent request for somebody, but it's near impossible to feel proud of a piece of work when you're making shots in the dark of what you might like.

Listen, everybody, if you ask somebody for an artistic favor, be very specific about what you'd like them to draw.
We've agreed to draw your OC for you, not design it.

I don't really share the same disdain you do for this as I'm not a vector artist like yourself, but if there's one thing that drives me up a wall is finding out halfway through a picture that an OC has a terrible color scheme that makes it impossible to shade or highlight correctly.

The other points are just bad character design, in my opinion.[/quote]

I hate this even when friends do this for me. If you guilt trip me into trying to draw you something that's a one way street into never getting me to draw you anything ever.

I've got nothing to add, this is all pretty much my thoughts on the matter.

I admit that I am guilty of the OC thing, about once or twice. I should watch myself there...

My pet peeve are the former bronies that are dead set on attempting to tear down everything that has to do with the show and fandom. If they hate it, they should stay away from it, or at least be a bit more quiet. Just my opinion of course.

    Stealing art.
I know it happens everywhere, but it seems quite common within this fandom to see Art thieves.
    It is appauling and disrespectful.
Art is a personal statement, even if its about a cartoon show, so seeing artists work get stolen.
But as I said, its not just within this fandom, or fandoms in general.
I just see it happen more within this fandom sadly.

It's not just art, this entire fandom is kinda built on piracy.
Not many actually pay to watch episodes, they just watch on YouTube.
Even when the BronyDoc came out, DeLancie was appalled at the number of pirates watching it. I was surprised at how unprepared he was, the entire fandom works on watching things free in the first place!

My personal pet-peeve is people who make their OC's the most outlandish garbage possible. Just because you have the tools to make an OC hideous doesn't actually mean you should!

Just make them actually show-based and listen to something like Fanfare for the Common Man while you make it. It's almost impossible to make something scary with a piece like that playing in your head.

Doomsayers. All the people who are constantly shouting about how the "quality of the show is declining" and everything is over and the fandom is dying.
All I have to say to those people is just look around. The show is about the same as it ever was, and the fandom, if anything, is getting stronger.

Another thing that irks me is people who talk about/post pony related things everwhere, even if the topic is nothing pony related. It's like me looking at a youtube video about a strongman competition and then posting a comment about doctor who. It's just dumb.

People who get angry at alicorn OCs.
Of course they're not canon! That's the whole point of an original character!

People who don't know the difference between a pony forum and a dating service.

Fans who use the term 'Pegacorn' instead of 'Alicorn.'

People's gripes about alicorn OCs have nothing to do with canon. It's about how they tend to be overpowered demigods in RPs mainly.

My biggest pet peeve is how bronies will only like something "Just because it has ponies in it." This is coming from the whole Fighting Is Magic situation, and how some Bronies, who put so much love and support into Mane6, are suddenly going "Oh it's no longer MLP-related? Well it doesn't interest me anymore" It straight up ticks me off that there are seriously people like this in the Brony community.

    I lol'd at this.

I have to admit though, I'm with Yami on the alicorns. It's very sue-ish, and about as dumb as creating a character that represents an extra element of harmony.

    Pet Peeves;

Bronies who constantly predict that the end is nigh. The ones who claim the "fandom is dying." Meh, this fandom ain't dying anytime soon. And if it does, I'll still be able to watch and enjoy the show as I always have.

On the flip side, the other thing that's usually bugged me is when bronies speak about our fandom as if we broke all the rules and changed everything about male stereotypes and demographics. Grown men watching and enjoying animated shows is not a new thing, ask anybody in the otaku family.

Yep, I'm still happy to be a member of the herd. Joining up didn't change my life or anything, I'm still the same geek I've always been. Keep calm and brony on

I was refering to the negative comments that I've seen on DeviantArt pages. I don't understand why people feel the need to bash a beautiful piece of art, simply because it doesn't match their head-canon.

As far as RP characters go, I agree, alicorns are annoying.

Yeah, yeah. I know, my OC looks horrid, but its not like I took any time to do so, I was pressured into making one.

What annoys me is the obnoxiousness of many people
and putting their precious ponies everywhere, all over facebook or whatever, and complaining about getting ridiculed.
Saying we're superior to people who have no interest in the show.
Expecting everyone to help or be nice at the drop of a hat. We're still human beings and giving the argument of "Love and Tolerance" to back it up is ridiculous.

When people overreact to things like Alicorn Twilight, the C&D of Fighting is Magic, and Equestrain Girls. I know, they sound hideous but we can't control everything that happens over there in Hasbro.
