i.e. The news. I'm sure a fair amount of us don't understand know what's going on in Europa, with the Euro, Greece and Spain. Much fun. Also, primary schools have had a revamp, courtesy of Herr Gove. Languages are now compulsory from age seven. Me = Yay! Apart from that, what about that Syria business, eh?
All i know about Spain is they're in serious financial trouble and meanwhile, their king goes elephant hunting...
Spain, Ireland and Greece all have humongous financial problems, and they decide to cut back on all those unnecessary things like health care and unemployment and are surprised that people got upset over it. At least, that's my understanding of it. Meanwhile, in America, we have a unique situation - instead of two old rich white guys running for president, we have two rich guys, one white and one black, who supposedly understand what I got through every day - when I doubt they'd even know what to do on my salary for one month, much less years and years. Yeah, I can totally relate to these guys.
Next summer, I'm going to Europe for a musical tour sort of thing. We've opted out of attending Greece because of the financial issues they're having at the current time. A shame, I really wanted to see the Parthenon. As for America, I'm really not sure what's going on here any more. It's just a bunch of yelling about who is going to be president next; nobody seems to care about the country itself at this point in time. Another thing: The news channel I watch every morning (CNN, I believe it is) keeps yammering on about this dog that got it's head stuck in a pickle jar. Seriously, I'm sorry, but I don't get a flying hoot about somebody's dog who got stuck in a jar, I want to know the important stuff that's going on at this point in time! Woops, I'm ranting now
Well, we ARE expecting a guy like this to solve everything that's wrong with Europe... Seriously, he looks like a mix between Gollum and the Joker <_< I'm Belgian myself, and i for one know our politicians can't solve ****! We're the ones who spent years trying to decide wether to build either a bridge or a tunnel...
Then we will continue to be dominated by crusty old rich men that only want to get more money out of us.And cause all the problems in the first place. *Start designing a rebel flag*
