"I-I could have saved them... I... I'm a failure." he sobbed, mourning the last two members of his guild, the Platinum Crests. He picked up his mace and threw it against a wall. "D-Damn you!" he screamed in rage.
Damian Winters walked a desert environment silently, with a scarf acting as a hood covering his head and acting to stop the sand from getting into his hair. He was a lonesome individual, deciding not to join Guilds incase another player he befriended or cared about was killed in the death game. He was classified by various guilds as 'Hyper Lethal', an unofficial title that was given by players in power to categorize abilities. He was charismatic, extremely dangerous, and a godsend sometimes to lower players when he encountered them in dungeons out of their control. He wanted to keep others safe, but he also wanted to escape the game that has kept him prisoner.
Verdentia sat on a bar-stool, surrounded by other players who were very upset with her. She had conned many of them out of their money and loot through card games. Being so cute really makes people willing to accept a very stupid deal. They closed in on her and she just smiled. In a flash they were all on the ground, and she held a sword twice her length, resting on her shoulder. "Better luck next time, boys!" With that she walked lazily out of the pub she was in, into a small town. She walked through the town whistling. "The cutest little thing that ever robbed you blind." "Verdentia the trickster." "Half-a-thief." Some of the less than pleasing titles she held. She preferred the one she had when she first started the game, that noone dared use. "The rouge worldbreaker." Mysterious groups would form from nowhere and attempt to finish the final dungeon, all of which would die, save for her. A thief that seemingly couldn't die. People thought she had broken the world's build. Found someway to survive death. She hadn't.
Percy cursed and teleported out of the dungeon and back to his workshop, shield and mace in hand. Percy Novalid was a young blacksmith. One of the best, in fact. He used his blacksmithing knowledge in his mace-wielding, too. Only problem was, he never got any customers, due to his small shop. It was just him and his weaponry. He pounded furiously on his newest creation, a large onyx broadsword.
Damian was known by many names, but several have earnt the lone wanderer a fierce reputation. However, none of them stood out as much as one name did, and was known as the 'Angel of Death'. He was believed to be not only unkillable when he was encountered in dungeons, but was rumored to be a rogue program. The later, however, was false. Aside from his intentions to escape from the game, his power alone was enough to gain the interests of the very strongest guilds in the entire world. Currently being hunted by various guilds, one of them being the Knights of the Blood for unknown reasons, it is one of the reasons he prefers isolation. However, the ridiculously high leveled wander was more then enough to take down the entire guild. He came to the end of the desert and left the level entirely to head towards his objective.
Verdentia passed by a blacksmith which she thought was always closed. She heard someone working inside and peeked through the window. Her eyes immediately fell to the Onyx great sword the blacksmith was making. She put her weapon back into the inventory and opened the door to enter. "Hello, is someone here?"
"Oh? A c-customer! Hello! Welcome to my shop, miss!" Percy said, dropping his hammer onto the ground."I was just finishing this sword's designs, but it can wait. What would you like?" he asked.
"Actually I was passing by and saw that wonderful sword of yours. It looks like quite the amazing weapon. Is it unique, or have you made it before?" She could either trick him and get the sword by tricking the little blacksmith, or she could pay for it using the money she conned from the pub-members. For some reason she was feeling kind to this particular sap.
Damian entered the next level, and found himself in a small settlement. He took of his hood and eyed around the town, eventually coming across a blacksmith and a female customer. From what he had heard, some blacksmiths found in smaller towns are better then some in the big cities, possibly because of the care they took in their weaponry. Feeling curious about what he could include to his already lethal arsenal, he walked into the blacksmith's door and went to look around.
"It's one of a kind. As are most of my weapons. It's not done yet. I'm still missing a few items to make it." Percy responded, smiling. "How about this, you go help me get the parts, and it'll be yours for free." he said.
Her eyes went wide. "For free?" she repeated. "You sir have got yourself a material hunter!" She was completely oblivious to anything but the offer of THAT sword for free.
Percy chuckled. "Another customer! Hello, hello!" he said, smiling. "Me and this nice lady are going questing soon, so I suggest either leaving or accompaning us, so the store can open sooner. And I suggesting equipting any artic gear you may have." he said, opening his floating menu. He selected his fur-lined cloak and equipted it.
Damian then nodded. "I guess that join you will not hurt, plus it also helps me with experience. Pleasure to meet you." Damian then went to his menu and equipped his black coat. It was not only very resistant to the weather extremes, but was also very stylish. This coat was finished off with matching gloves and boots.
"I don't have weather armor... This game is very cruel when it comes to perks..." She looked down at her body and laughed a little. "Okay, we set to go?"
Percy nodded and added the two to his party list. "Right. We're off to Floor 6: Blizzard Mountain Peak." he grabbed a small blue crystal from his pocket and teleported to said location.
Verdentia was not far behind, and appeared with her giant blade resting on her shoulder. She looked around the area and her face seemed to become devoid of emotion.
The trio arrived at a large, frozen mountain top, flattened by the intese wind. "Right. We have to fight that thing!" Percy screamed, pointing to a large, flying, black serphant. It's dark scales were covered in frost, and it's fangs were made of ice.
"Give me a second" Damian said as he drew one of his katana's out from it's sheath and got into an attack position. He cracked his neck as he looked directly at the menacing creature as he then looked at it's level. "Alright. Let's begin shall we?" Damian then launched himself towards the serphant as it roared loudly across the snowy landscape, picking up his already incredible speed with every step. As the Serphant tried to bite him, Damian suddenly appeared right behind it in the air as he attacked from behind, slashing at it quickly before landing besides Percy. "Your turn"
Verdentia ran forward and used her sword to vault up to the air above the creature's head. She then came down, the blade smashing through the scales on the beast's head and causing it to break some of it's own teeth. "High Aggro" flashed over her head and the monster turned to glare at her. "Oh boy..."
Percy hid behind a rock, waiting and breathing heavily, until the serphant beside him. Percy swung his mace, and shattered many of the beast's teeth as he hit it's large snout. As it passed Percy, it swung it's tail in retaliation, knocking him into a large rock. "I-I'm fine!" He yelled.
