Hello, Pegasisters! I call myself Epona Warrior and I've been a fan of MLP for a year now, but haven't been too heavily active in the MLP fandom for certain reasons I'd rather not go into. I used to have a few furry friends but found their community to be concerningly creepy and misogynist. I'm an author and political activist, and enjoy Science Fiction as a means of exploring alternative and better societies and cultures. I am an advocate for so called 'radical' feminism and matriarchal/gynarchy social structures, and find the MLP universe as an excellent vehicle to develop these ideas. I've also been responsible for a few Pegasister-only meetups and safe zones. I'm currently considering either doing a panel at Everfree or just offering these discourses in my room.
I'm glad i'm not the only one that feels that way about the furry fandom xD it is quite...eh..guess the word is creepy. My friends a furry and im pretty sure he clops to furries... *shutter* Uhm but yea welcome to the forum!! ^.^ Glad to have you here, please feel free to message/ friend request me! :3
Undoubtedly it's because of the disproportionate amount of homosexual men. It is also a haven of rape culture, and I've gotten many threats from certain sites. I do have to emphasize that these panels I'm drafting are female only.
Hello, PennehTheCat. I hope you don't take offense...it wasn't a blanket condemnation. Females in the furry fandom pay a great price for their participation, but if you find it worth it I take no issue. I'm only hoping the MLP fandom is better, as the over-saturation of "bro" has kept me at a distance.
