Five years ago, the treaty that ended the Ciilonii war was signed. It was a simple treaty, with only two things of importance on it, the handing over of full control of Ciilonii to Glory, and the establishment of peace between Glory and Equestria. This peace did not last long though, as within a year, Glory began a hunt for Equestria's homeworld upon the insistence of it's populace. For four years, Equestria's colonies fell one by one to Glory as it searched tirelessly for the Equestrian homeworld. Four years after the second war began, a great Citadel Fleet appeared out of jump space on the outer edge of the Equestrian system, hundreds of Gloryian war ships, thousands upon thousands of space fighters and lander craft, and more than a million soldiers and enough supplies to fight for as long as is needed. Equestria is on it's last hoof, years of preparation are about to be put to the test, that is if the Glorians don't wish to destroy them from orbit with their powerful MA Cannons...
"Alright men, we might be the smallest group of guards compared to Luna and Celestia's but we make up for it in spirit and strength. Remember if Tremellion was still here he would be proud". He inspected a squad of Tremellion guards before looking to the sky. "we can do this, if only the princes were here to help".
One of the guards stepped forward and saluted. "Specialist Dusty sir!" Dusty put his hoof down then looked up with Arc. "Sergeant when do you think the princes will return?"
"Right now." A deep, rumbling voice said behind the group. Tremalion (he has an storm cloud grey coat, eyes that seemed to be made of lightning and a spiky, electric yellow mane that had grey in it, making it appear as if it was lightning striking from a cloud). "I apologize for the delay, but I was busy preparing the External Kingdom for the coming invasion. Heculius is still there to lead its defense. We worry that the Glorians might decide to attack every equine nation after Equestria." He studied the group of guards, "Are you ready to face them? Are you all willing to state death in the face, walk through Tartarus and back, and throw back the invaders?"
Arc saluted "Already done that sir, Changeling invasion. The Wedding of your niece. So I'd say I'm prepared". Arc took out his rifle switching off the safety and switching it to full auto.
"Remember, that was many, many years ago, and this is the enemy that defeated us on Ciilonii." Tremalion responded, "I have no doubt of your abilities, but I will not allow any room for error. I will not allow this planet to go the way of Ciilonii. Now, I must go inspect the other defenses. The outer system colonies have already been lost, and I will have us on high alert until further notice." With that, the King of Storms turne and left the room

Goose stood at the end of a near by airfield; equipped with HMG on one of sides, a rocket launch on the other, and radio headset. "Tower Control, this is Goose, on stand by and ready for any immediate requests for air support , over."
"Rodger that Goose, reports show Glorian Invasion force having an ETA of 3-7 days depending on how they choose to deal with the Solar Colonies." A Tower Controller replied, "Current DEFCON level of 4. Stay on duty and ready for action until further notice."
Esy was sitting down on a ammo crate, reloading his Desert Eagle over and over again to increase his speed.
Ocean walked into the room quietly and unpacked her equipment. Even through she was a fantastic at pistols, he real advantage were with rifles of anysort, being a short burst and short ranged rifle to a long range Sniper rifle. She was a crack shot at rifles and her strategic ideas, which she hasn't really need to use over her career. She then felt that all eyes on her as she was unpacking, but continued to do so until she was spoken to
"okay men, good shooting. Return to bunks but keep your rifle on hoof. In case of a midnight bombardment". As Arc and other Tremellion guards headed off. He thought for a while About an old ally he met in basic training by the name steel blaze. Word went round that he got a job as a combat engineer. Though he didn't know if he made it back. In one piece at least.
"Target locked Admiral!" The chief gunner on the bridge yelled to Admiral Janiius, the best, most exprienced admiral in the R.G.S.N. "Good, fire when ready. Let's show them the power this ship holds." "Yes sir!" The chief gunner replied with a salute. Soon, the ship jerked slightly as a 10 ton chunk of metal was fired from the Citadel at nearly 90% the speed of light, sending it hurtling through the asteroid belt and to the Equestrian planet, or more specifically, Canterlot Palace...
Arcane woke up with a fright. He may of been in the city wall barracks at the time but he could still feel the shock. Windows were shattered and ash and dust were everywhere. He called out to the uninjured guards. "Okay clean your guns and get moving. Help any and all citizens and dont fret to call orbital command". points to a fellow lieutenant "you send a message to every guard in every town, village and city... We're gonna raise ourselves an army". He stepped outside onto the debris and ash covered streets. As a face of immense anger fell upon his face, when he looked up at the Canterlot skyline. One thing was completely gone, the palace exept for a smoking tower. "That's it, no one hurts the royals, while I'm still trotting".
Goose was up and in the air within seconds after impact. "Tower Control, this is Goose, flying over to sweep ground zero for any hostiles, then switching over to S&R support, requesting a sitrep ASAP, over."
"No need for that Goose, that strike was from space, and the Glorian fleet is in the area of the asteroid belt according to the last reports. You would just be tiring yourself before the true battle." the command from Tower Control said to Goose. *** *** *** *** Tremalion hovered in the air, looking at the smoke coming from Canterlot on the horizon. One moment he had been flying to check on some anti-orbital landing defenses, and then a sound that sounded like the air itself was being ripped apart followed by a massive explosion the next. He bit his lip, he had heard about the tactical MAC strikes the Glorians started using towards the end of the Ciilonii war against the well defended areas, but they just launched a strike against a target right next to civilian areas, and that could mean they were firing volley after volley of those MAC rounds at targets meant to demoralize them and weaken them. Then he remembered who was still in the palace at the time of the strike, "CELESTIA!!!", he cried out in his famed thunder voice, and zoomed towards Canterlot, fearing the worse...
"I'm going in regardless, Control. I'll assist in S&R." Goose switched over channels. "Attention all units assisting in search and rescue in the Canterlot area, This is 2nd Lt. Goose, I'll be assisting in efforts." He begins to speed up towards the impact site.
Arc was rushing to the impact zone. He only stopped to get a drink to rehydrate his dry mouth. As he ran he spotted Tremellion speeding like a missile towards the castle. As soon as he arrived he began trying to remove debris but most were to heavy to remove. Especially in his slightly deafened and weakened state.
