Tremalion landed in the rubble of the palace, half of it had been simply vaporized from the impact, the rest had been reduced to rubble. "CELESTIA! WHERE ARE YOU SISTER?!" He called out to the ruins. He began to tear away at the rubble with both magic and hooves, with little regard where the rubble would land. He dug and dug and dug through the blackened, smoking stone, until he reached a flickering blue object buried, "OPIAT!" He cried out. "...Tremalion..." the orb of energy spoke brokenly, like a phone that was losing connection, "Celestia...Luna...dead...I...next...You...Equestria...defend...ponykind......save...all...die...stop...invasion....I go....home..." OPIAT suddenly began flickering rapidly, then with one, long fading flare, he simply faded and a stream of lightly simmering energy floated to the sky. Tremalion simply fell there, in shock. If what OPIAT had said was true, which it always was, that meant Celestia, and Luna, where both...gone...
While arc was digging and getting ash, first and stones thrown in his face from trend lions digging he recovered a few things manly scrolls from a safe that was weakened by the pressure on the rubble and a photo of a young Celestia. He then approached Tremellion and saluted. "Sire, I have recovered these ancient scrolls and this picture for you. Do you think it's time to reuse the elements all 12 of them. Also what is the news of Heculius. His guards have yet to receive orders".
"Heculius is in the External Kingdom thankfully." Tremalion muttered to Arc, "And the Ancient Elements have found new users and I have no idea who they are. Just leave the scrolls in a pile outside of the Palace." Tremalion then stood up, "I know what to do." he said plainly, before walking away. Soon, the Thunder Voice could be heard clearly across Equestria, "ATTENTION CITIZENS. CANTERLOT PALACE HAS BEEN DESTROYED IN AN ATTACK, SADLY CELESTIA AND LUNA WERE AMONG THE CASUALTIES. DO NOT FEAR, FOR THIS IS WHAT THE ENEMY WANTS, THEY WANT YOU TO BE SCARED, DO NOT LET THEM FRIGHTEN YOU. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ALL PONIES OF MATURE AGE ARE TO ARM THEMSELVES AND HEAD TO THE NEAREST DEFENSIVE POSITION. ALL EITHER TOO YOUNG, FRAIL, OR UNABLE TO FIGHT ARE TO REPORT TO YOUR NEAREST SECURITY SHELTER. MARTIAL LAW SHALL BE FULLY ENFORCED. ANY WHO DO NOT COMPLAIN SHALL BE DEALT WITH, SEVERELY."
"you heard the man, move it. Training shall be issued depending on your given role". He walked off to train some mares and ponies barely out of education. As he walked he saw the unthinkable, mobsters, criminals and guards working together in harmony. He smiled thinking."I guess in the face of sadness and fear. Even those of opposite backgrounds, join forces in harmony".
Ocean walked across the field noticing the extreme example of what could be accomplished if everypony worked together. Even in the face of certain death and utter annihilation, even the most law abiding citizens to the worst criminals were doing what could not be done. Ocean thought about this sudden change of social culture, even through she wasn't military she knew that despite race, appearance and personality. She would be treated the same. Even if Equestria failed and there was one surviving Equestrian, then the fight was worth it
(I believe a time skip is in order, three days, lets go!) After the destruction of the Royal Palace, Equestria united like never before to face this new threat, seeking revenge for the murder of Celestia and Luna. Meanwhile, the Citadel Fleet destroyed with ease every Equestrian solar colony as it blazed a path of destruction towards the Equestrian home planet, occasionally launching another tactical MAC strike on Equestria. By the time the fleet reached Equestrian orbit, the Equestrian Space Command had simply ceased to exist. If one looked up into the sky at the massive fleet hanging above in geostationary orbit, they would see tons of little dots surrounding one large dot that seemed to be almost a quarter or half the size of the Moon. Then, the invasion began as thousands upon thousands upon thousands of space fighters and landing craft swarmed towards the planet, carrying what could be the end of ponykind, or at least its existence in independence...
A lone 8 person landing craft hovered an inch off the canterlot high street. where arc and the group he was training consisting of 1 of celestia's guard, 1 of luna's guard 2 from heculius's guard, four high society lawyers and posh ponies and 2 notorious gangsters. were having a well earned celebratory dinner after a long days training. "Well ponies, surround this thing and guns up".
Vergil walked near the battlefield, readying his katana and rifle. He wore a trilby and a blue trenchcoat.
As the group approached the landing craft, it suddenly released a cloud of smoke, engulfing them and reducing their vision to nothing. By the time the smoke cleared, nothing was there, but somewhere the squad that the craft dropped off was bound to be somewhere nearby... *** *** *** *** A great majority of the craft landed in the foothills to the north of Manehatten, where much of the great army could assemble itself quickly and could defend itself much more easily against early attacks to remove it. Troops, vehicles, and supplies were dropped off by the ton as several space Frigates descended to near orbit for quicker unloading. Within hours, a quarter of the total ground force had been landed at the sight with temporary airstrips and other functional facilities. 3 more of these bases would soon be made within the day at the four corners of Equestria, throwing off any strategy preparing for a direct assault from space, but the battles have yet to be fought and who would when is anyone's guess.
Vergil walked through Manehattan streets in front of a line of rag tag civilian turned soldiers. "Okay, they did not hire me for nothing. I am being paid to turn you into respectable soldiers. First things first, hit the gym." He then watched as the rag tags scrambled over one another to get to the exercise equipment. "I remember living here as a child, so actionless, so nonviolent. Now look at it."
Ocean looked at what could be her own personal apocalypse above her head. She seen so many enlisting and wanting to repel the Glorians from their invasion. Obviously a planet wasn't enough for their grasp, she was there when Ciilonii fell. She looked at them wondering how exactly they will all die or survive under their rule. Whatever she thought, the odds were never good. She then looked back down to her location, a military base which was overwhelmed with new recruits. She was walking through the base to speak to the commander. She was originally a high ranking solider but left the Equestrian Military shortly after the end of the Ciilonii war. Since then she took a job in the mercenary business, a job she loved. She used her extreme combat knowledge and some of her strategic knowledge to help or harm those who she came in contact with. The letter she received didn't say much, all it said was to meet in this base.
As Arc noticed the disappearance, he told the trainees to head back to the barracks. This was gonna be a long night. Once he got back, he did not take off his armour or unload his rifle and pistol. He just had a feeling he would need to wake up later.
Admiral stared at a holographic map of Equestria in his Citadel, studying the known strong-points and the newly deployed bases. He had his orders, 'Wipe out Equestria in any way you see fit.', and while the normal commander with those orders with the power he had would simply blast the Equestrians into submission, he wanted the planet and its populace as intact as possible. He had two reasons for this, one was that he knew that a short period of reforming to Glorian efficiency that this planet would be more economically powerful than its ever been, and also, there was a sizable population of Equestrian POWs who lived in Glory, and destroying Equestria would not set well with them. He knew what he would do, and began to dot certain parts of the map for a certain action to occur there, anything from a small Magniitum squad being deployed there to Elatian kill-or-capture squads to tactical MAC strikes. Soon, the overall initial Glorian battle plan had been planned out and the orders were sent out to every Glorian in the invasion force.
Vergil stood there, watching the uncoming Glorian forces readying to attack the base. He looked up and said "Hold your ground"
(If you guys are interested, we could start this back up, ignoring Vergil's last post now that he's banned)
