So, this's something that's really annoying me now. I thought Hasbro'd grow out of it, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I'm trying so hard to start collecting brushable toys, but Hasbro seem to hate the thought of us buying their products. See, whenever something's a Toys "R" Us Exclusive, it instantly becomes only available in America. Even though we have Toys "R" us shops here in England... When something becomes Target exclusive, it's practically impossible to get here due to the fact Target is unavailable anywhere outside America. When something's a Wal Mart Exclusive, I'm left with absolutely no way of getting it. I'm having a tough time buying things, and they keep making it harder- What with the new Toy Fair, they've released loads of really Awesome Stuff that got me really excited for this year, but that only Americans'll have access to, and that's freakin' frustrating, when something you're really excited about's waved in front of your face, before being lobbed an ocean away. What if I do want a Brushable Derpy!? I've heard there're some Europe-only releases too, but from where I'm looking, all I'm seeing in stores is the mane six, over and over, perhaps with some different accessories... This's just upsetting now. Hasbro, why wont you just let me enjoy your damn products!!? I WANT SO BADLY TO GIVE YOU MY MONEY. I'm writing a letter. xP
Most of these exclusives can only be bought in store, as far as I've seen and heard. I could buy them on ebay, but I don't like ebay... xD I can't yet move money around online anyway, so at the moment, this isn't a option for me until I get my Debit card, which Mum seems to be putting her all into making sure I don't get. As for getting an America friend to help, that's probably the best bet. I'd just have to find somebody willing to do it... I can get some of the stuff on MarePlay.co.uk, but Toys "R" Us, Target and Walmart exclusives still aren't available in the UK. I just feel like Hasbro are building us an obstacle which doesn't need to be there. That's what I'm finding most frustrating, the needlessly added difficulty. Also, Mike, I wasn't aware that it was some of the Blindbags that aren't available over in America. I guess that makes it a bit more fair, but it still irritates me that any toys should be limited to any place when there's demand for it else where too...
Well if you ever need an American to help, I'm sure I could do it. I live right next to all of these popular retail stores.
I'd help you out, but I'm having just as much trouble as you finding toys :/ I visited a couple dozen different stores, everything from Walmart to Rite Aid, and so far only 1 Target actually had anything worthwhile, and their selection was pretty miniscule. <.< I'm actually considering a trip up to the mall this weekend, to check for blind bags in Hot Topic, there's also a Toys 'R' Us and a Walmart up there I gotta check too.
I could do it, but I'm trying to save monies for things like furniture and a car. Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah but the problem there is that unlike the US you can't walk into a Toys R Us and pick up blindbags, they're not on sale. You have to look in select supermarkets (posher versions of Walmart) which more often than not don't sell them. You cannot purchase any blindbags in my entire county anywhere. Also, didn't the US get that set with the Wonderbolts before us? Idk, I think it depends, but the UK gets pretty screwed over when you just want to walk into a store and buy ponies.
Well...really the only blindbag wave that the UK got that we didn't was Wave 2. We got all the others as well. Although getting pony merch here isn't a cakewalk either. I've searched every Walmart, Target, Toys 'R' Us and Hot Topic in 5 different towns and the ONLY wave I've seen for sale is Wave 4, which not only do I already have, but no one really wants them. <.< So far only 1 Toys 'R' Us turned out to be worthwhile, they actually had their exclusive set, the set with Nightmare Moon and Vinyl (that's $45), all the 3 pony mini sets and a bunch of brushables.... although they didn't have either the Rarity or Lyra brushable, I was disappoint. -_- aaand they had no blindbags.
After reading it back, i've realised It read pretty whinily, so I've edited it a lil'... Sorry 'bout that. xP Also, thanks a tonne for the offers, guys, it'd be fantastic if you could help me get some of the Exclusives! I have no way of moving money around right now, so I can't currently give you any money for the figures- perhaps I'll take this offer on when I have the money to give ya!
Living in england the only pony thing I found was the plastic mould applejack. I've looked everywhere (tesco and sainsbury's) but with no prevail
Becuase i thought this thread was fitting some news for you all: Watch out German Bronies: You can get MLP mane 6 figures at Burger King right now! I will try to take fotos and get them myself
That's unfortunate, though there is some cool stuff that can only be gotten in other places I've heard of. It think there is some awesome plushies in.. I beleive Germany maybe not sure. Also Derpy is near impossible to get even in America. It was sold at a convention only. Still best of luck finding things. Maybe you could try Amazon.com.
There'll be two Derpys, one fashion pony which was released for a convention, and another normal sized brushable planned to be released in America in Autumn. This version was announced during Toy Fair. It wont be available outside the states, I don't think
Spoiler: *laughs evilly* Literally nobody else but me buys ponies from Forbidden Planet I go to at the moment, if I happen to come across some ponies I've already got I'll gladly buy them and mail them to people for birthdays/Christmas etc. Only to people in the UK though, unless I'm feeling up to paying the extra money to ship things abroad. And just doubles, I'm still quite strapped down for where to buy pony merch myself. :derpe:
Ima buy ponies now!!! And if you want something my fellow ponies from the UK I'll be more than happy to loft your way!
