Final Eclipse

Plague looked at Silver with a sadistic smile on his face and began to laugh. As Silver reentered the large gaping hole in the palace walls as he charged to reach Plague, Plague literally disappeared right before his eyes as he then drop kicked Silver in the face when he noticed his disappearance, all within the timespan of barely point one of a milisecond. The kick sent Silver flying across the room before he hit the a wall hard, almost breaking his both his wings and several bones.

Plague walked up to him slowly while Silver tired to get up. "You are wrong about the speed part, but you are right about something. You have what the Princesses never had, the ability to stand up and take the blame for your actions. It seems that we are related Silver. Don't worry about how i know your name and what you did all those moons ago, what matters now is your surrender. I wont extend this offer again." Plague said.

 

"Holding out isn't the solution for you. Celestia only spoke of once in my childhood and even then she shown signs of regret." Plague then pointed at the lifeless body of Celestia and looked Silver directly in the eye. "She tortured my friends in front of me... thought I'd break. One by one. I watched my race die. Then she further extended that by dumping me inside a stone prison and left me there for centuries. So yeah, the next time I saw, Celestia. I absolutely lost it. WHAT THE BUCK WOULD YOU DO?”

Plague tried to gain his composure again and seen Silver look at his hands. He was obviously trying to figure out his combat style. "She gave me the best training, the best equipment and the best teachers. By the time i was 12, i was a one pony army. If your wondering why im lacking in my ability, it's because being frozen in stone for a extended period of time makes you lack your ability."

Plague knew that Silver's regen ability could not hold out forever, he was only able to do it a couple of time before his body would reject it per day. In terms of the battle, he was winning. And he was going to ensure that he kept his advantage.

 

Plague knew his limitations but seemed to know that Silver had been holding back. His talk about Plague being depicted as the common murderer disgusted him. "There will be other days that i could take Equestria, but today seemed like a good day. You might be the one to kill me however, to end this suffering that is my life. But im not going to die knowing that in the end, nothing was worth it and knowing that i died like a coward."

"You said that i have no honor, that's a joke. I used to be a knight like yourself, the best of the best in fact after you. I had the love of the princesses and the royal family as i had my love for magic and peace. I was raised by her to follow the code you believe in, and that her love for me had no bounds. Then it happened one night, she hid it away from me to make sure that i never knew. To have that love destroyed when your own mother held a blade to your neck while your friends were executed. She laughed while she did it, she was enjoying every moment. From then on, i dedicated my entire life to bring down the sun princess. My mother had changed, she was never like what she is now. It might have been that after my "death", she realized her mistake...." Midnight looked at her body with guilt, he felt sorry for her but still felt like that she would love to see her watch his death. "The pony's i have killed might have never deserved it.... but i need her to help me change and i wanted her to be honest and to return to the kind mother she used to be....." P

"My crimes might be unforgivable, but i need to change who iam and forget about the past, what she did. And maybe....just maybe, we can be together again and restore the Alicorn's race by bringing them back to life. So, out of what the transformation of evil has done to me.... i don't want to fight you. I want to end this curse of the Ardak Luvanius being depicted as demons. Please...im begging you to listen to reason, allow me to bring Celestia back to life. And let me wait and see what happens if she really did care for me for all those years." Plague was beginning to tear up and powered down to show that he is serious about changing and threw a locket of a younger Celestia and Midnight as a child, who's appearance was vastly different to his current corruption form and his Ardak Luvanius form. He had a white coat and a purple/blue mane instead of his current black coat and green mane. His cutie mark was different then as well.

"She had always been there for me, to be proud of my accomplishments and to encourage me to keep trying my best even when i fail. When i fall, she would be there to lift me back up and say that everything is alright. Somedays are harder then others, and that fall has lasted me over 800 years. I cant believe that i have just realized the truth, that i have been blinded by lies for so long. I just wish to say that im sorry for having taken so many lives, this is not who iam. If i wish to undo my evil and become a part of the light again, i need to help Celestia. And to repair the Dynasty, my family to their glory by bringing them back to life."

"But i just want to know that even if i die today, i would love to know if she cared...." Plague said towards Silver.

 

"Thank you Silver, may the gods watch over your soul." Plague said as him and Silver flew down to the palace floors. Plague began to feel different but embraced that feeling as something that was turning into a positive thing. He went to Celestia's body and began to heal her almost effortlessly. While her woulds began to repair themselves, the feeling was beginning to well up but still found it's goodness rich inside. After a short moment, Celestia woke up and seen Plague with tears running down his face

Celestia looked at her son surprised that he is not attacking, but has also realized what had happened. Plague then did what he hasn't done in century's, opened his arms out for a hug. "I'm sorry" Plague began. "Can you forgive me for not seeing the truth?"

It took a moment for Celestia to realize what had happened to Plague. It seemed that he finally seen the light again and was willing to fix up his mistake. She smiled as she looked at her son. "Apology accepted,and im sorry to commit such an act. It seems that we have some catching up to do..." Celestia and Plague then hugged each-other as hard as they could as Plague was then covered in a blinding light. When the light vanished, the Alicorn had returned to his original form. Dark Plague was no more, the child of the sun Midnight Dawn had returned. The light was visible from outside as both the squad and the Ardak Luvanius stopped fighting to see what was happening.

Celestia and Midnight then looked at Nightmare Moon who had just woken up. It seemed that Silver had to fill her in with the details. Celestia then looked outside to see the Ardak Luvanius confused. "We still have a problem outside, do you want to take care of it Midnight?" she asked.

Midnight smiled at his mother. "They will cease to exist. Tell your squad to come inside, i don't think they should see what im about to do to them." Midnight said as he then left to walk outside. "Oh and Silver. Thank you for talking some sense into me, consider yourself an ally and possibly a friend..." Midnight then left to finish off the very last of the Ardak Luvanius. Within the next few moments, the word Ardak Luvanius would take on a completely new meaning....

 

Crimson and Ocean were shocked to see a completely new pony walk down the stairs and look at directly at them and their opponents. He did not announce his name, but looked at Crimson and Ocean and smiled. "Celestia wants to see you three, she will explain everything." The three took this strangers advice and looked at his old comrades.

"Your all going to die by my hoof, Your speaking to the real Plague...." Midnight began. The other three Ardak Luvanius looked at each other puzzled at what just happened. He could see the squad and the princesses watching even through he told them that what he was about to do was gruesome even by his standards.

"Plague, you helped us acheve this power Kaisar was born with. We are the vanguards of their destruction and you hav-" Sollus began until he began to feel a raging pain across his neck. Blood began to spill from it until everything below his neck felt numb and collapsed onto the ground, his head rolled across the field. Plague appeared next to his body with blood on his left hoof, he had decapitated Sollus and killed him before they even realized what had happened with his bare hoof.

Kaisar and Summer looked in absolute horror as they seen their deaths come toward them. Their bloodcurdling screams could be heard for miles around as Midnight wiped out the Four horsemen by himself. Midnight felt so wrong do such an act, but his revenge on the bloodline was more then enough to satisfy his needs. Once the last body fell, the Ardak Luvanius ceased to exist.

 

Midnight walked up the stairs victorious to see Auntie Luna and His mother smiling towards him. As he made his way thowards them, he thought about the deaths of the Ardak Luvanius. Even if kept them alive, they would still attempt to kill Celestia anyway. In the end, he dismissed the thought as he eventually made it across the throne room.

Midnight had returned to Equestria, this time as a hero....

 

Luna walked towards this new stranger. She had never met Midnight, but heard stories when Celestia filled her up to speed when she returned to Equestria. She didn’t know how to introduce herself to the nephew that tried to kill her, but knew that it wasn’t really him who was trying to kill her. To her, Plague was Midnight’s alter ego if he had one. She forgive him quickly and began to speak. “Hello Midnight. As you know this is our first meeting, you mother seems very proud of you for returning to her and coming back into the light. But I just need to know something personal, is your personality of Dark Plague completely gone?”

“Hello Auntie. Yes, Plague is gone for good, you are talking to the real me and not the vicious killer that you unfortunately fighting before. I have heard of what happened when you were banished to the moon, something about having eternal night I think it was?” Midnight questioned. “Sorry, I’m a bit short on detail. It seems that you, me and Celestia need some catch up time.”

Luna looked at her nephew. “Yes. That time is valuable time that should be dedicated towards our memories of each other.” Midnight and Luna both laughed as Celestia came towards them and asked to speak to both of them in private about Equestria’s newest royal family member being returned from over 800 years of imprisonment and to speak about something entirely based on the Alicorn Genocide, something that could....”revive” their legacy.

Crimson watched Midnight and the princesses walk into a private room to talk about their issues as Ocean came across them and planted a kiss on the cheek. They looked at eachother in a romantic trance as they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. Ocean then decided that it was time to reveal her secret about having a mansion located in Canterlot just for them located only a few streets from the Royal palace. They then returned to their original forms as Ocean revealed her secret, which made Crimson so surprised that could barely contain his excitement and gratitude.

Crimson then thought that it would be a good idea to reveal to the public about Midnight’s return and to be celebrated as heroes for defeating Sollus and helping to defeat the Ardak Luvanius.

 

Crimson and Ocean liked Robin's gift to them, they had to decide where to go after when everything is peaceful. They liked the idea of going to the Crystal Kingdom but still had to plan everything such as what to do and when to do it. "Words cannot describe our thanks to you. We will try and repay you in any form we can."

They then noticed as the Princesses and Midnight walked out of the door of their room. They came over thowards Crimson and asked him to speak in private. Crimson was called over and escorted into the throne room. When he returned, he came over to Robin and Ocean with news.

"Once thing's have calmed down a littlebit, The princess want's to hold a ceremony celebrating Midnight's return and about us as well. From what i know, it's going to be a big one with at least twenty thousand in the crowd. Don't be surprised if you see our parents in the crowd somewhere..." Crimson said. Ocean then realized that she never told her parents about Crimson, so she went over to the phone and rang them to see if they are ok, Crimson did the same thing to his auntie. The news about their children finding true love surprised their parents but the both of them said the same thing at the end of the call.

"Im going to pop the question. On the day, i'll ask him/her to marry me!"

 

Midnight overlooked the environment and the destruction that he had helped cause. The war barely lasted more than a day, the environmental damages would last years but some damages towards Equestrian civilians would last a lifetime. Celestia noticed him alone as he looked at the chaos and ponies rebuilding and rescuing. When she got there, Midnight responded first.

“And to think that I did this with a cursed bloodline. Seeing this disgusts me, but the others loved this sort of thing. I’m glad I got to kill them, the world never needs those ponies again.” Midnight said. “Saying I’m sorry is one thing, but do you think the world will ever accept me for being a prince or a murderer?”

Celestia was taken back by this question but found a answer. “Midnight. Equestria knows that Plague is dead, they want to meet the real you. So why don’t we do that spell we created together all those years ago and return everything to normal?”

“You mean the one where the environment and building conditions return to a healthy standard. Let’s do it together as mother and son” Midnight smiled. Celestia and Midnight then flew into the air until all of Equestria was in view. Both their horns glowed as bright as the sun as trees and buildings mysteriously began to grow again suddenly rebuild themselves. Survivors and the unfortunate were found as stone began to levitate into the air and become a part of their buildings. After a few minutes, Equestria returned to a peaceful state. Celestia and Midnight’s magic levels were significantly lowered but they put more than enough magic needed to cast the spell. They returned onto the balcony tired and looked at each other. “I love you mother, and i always have.” Midnight said.

Celestia smiled at the response. “I love you to....”
