It's that time again! Community post a-go-go! First up, a reminder to everypony that it's Karaoke Night tomorrow on EPR! It starts at 3pm EST (8pm GMT) and will be showing the submitted songs first before going to live singing through skype afterwards! I'd like to thank you all for your entries and hope you'll be there to enjoy! And if you can't make it Saturday, the submitted entries will be replayed on Sunday at a time for the US bronies out there, but there will not be a live singing event after. Secondly, I'd like to thank everyone who's taken our staff review survey, your input is very valuable to us and I'll be doing my best to ensure we can make the changes that'll make everypony happy and make sure you know everything you need to know about us! If you've not taken the staff review survey, please click here and give us your input! Only the administrators can see the answers and no one shall be punished or approached on what they've commented on. It'll be closed next friday! Lastly, I've been hearing about troubles regarding arguments about a certain Homestuck thread. From what I've gathered, people have been complaining about it around the site and sometimes go to the thread and post that they don't like it, which often results in negative responses. I would like this to stop. We bronies should know more than most about tolerating things we don't like. The reason it's there is so it isn't posted everywhere where it would annoy more people. I would like to parallel this to how many other forums have a pony thread of some sort. Haters will complain about it, say it shouldn't be here and even flame bronies in the thread for whatever reasons they think they have the right to. Yet we ask them to tolerate it. We tell them that the thread is there so it's not everywhere. We ask that we have our own little place on that forum to talk about this thing we like and want to share with those that like it too. Please, give this privilege to those who like Homestuck and post to the thread. Ignore the references and let's just get along, please? That's all I ask. Thanks for reading. I find it kind of funny how people are complaining about the Homestuck thread that nobody even posts in anymore.
I've never even heard of this Homestuck thread... Anyway, can't wait to hear all of you singing out of tune.
Oh, I thought I posted yesterday... Well, I'm gonna go to a party today with my IRL friends. I'm afraid I'll have to miss Karaoke....
I've read through a couple of the submissions and I'd just like to note for anyone planning on taking the survey, negative answers are fine, but dodging the question tends to defeat the point in taking the survey. So ugh, if you're planning on doing that, don't. You're not only wasting our time, but you're wasting yours too. Thanks. I should add, to those who have submitted a survey and have given us usable feedback (both good and bad), it's very much appreciated. I've already got a good list of things that we'll be looking at in response.
I'll be sure to watch the karaoke night, although I failed to record anything this time as well. As for the Homestuck thread, I don't see why they shouldn't have their own thread, as long as it abides by the rules.
This may sound funny, but will the users who submitted a survey get feedback on their feedback? :derpe: Your post made me think about wether i actually "dodged questions" or provided feedback that was actually useful to you. Some of them weren't easy to understand, tbh. Also, a few questions were very similar.
Oh trust me, the people who dodged questions know exactly who they are. And yes, fair point. We'll be sure to explain in earnest next time
I agree. A lot of the questions couldn't even be answered by the users. Some seemed to be specifically for staff and were just kept in there for the users. Food for thought.
Now we know the forms work, we'll be sure to send out some more surveys. More specific ones probably, site review, rule review, radio review.
I noticed this. I said so in the survey when I was taking it. I had no intention of avoiding questions if I did, I am just not good at saying things.
I didn't avoid questions, but the majority of them were simple Yes, No for me. And some I really didn't know how to answer. So I apologize if my answers seemed lacking. :I
I avoided questions in which I felt I could not give a rational answer. There. That's all I have to say. My time is well spent.
