Steve watched the shuttle leave with great interest. Making a mental note to steal the Elysian aircraft as soon as possible, he turned his attention to the helicopter. Kicking open the weapon crate, he grabbed one of the RPGs and fired at the missile pods on the left wing of the chopper. The explosion destroyed the missiles and shook the chopper, but the armor held, and the gunship stayed in the air. "Damn. This thing is tough." Tossing the used launcher to ground, he drew his pistol and began looking around for a route to the rooftops. "Well, that was Plan A. Anyone got a Plan B?"
Lucifer turned to Steve. "I do." He focused his power as the whole of the east Midlands was covered in pitch darkness. "As you may know. The darker the surroundings, the more powerful the hellwalker. Pitch blackness and thousands of angry hellwalker civilians and guards and they are in big trouble. Especially if they don't have night vision."
"Activate night-vision now, pile body onto body" The captain reported to his soldiers as they pressed a button on their armor that activated night-vision as the gattling lasers started spinning rapidly before unleashing onto the group and the UMB soldiers below, the sheer power of the laser weaponry obliterating the Hellwalker soldiers they fought against. Adaria got back onto her feet and ran towards the weaponry, moving quick enough to dodge the extremely heavy laser fire before towards a building and somehow, ran alongside the building just as laser minigun followed her to make an awful mess on the infrastructure. It seemed that Elysium was still there for collateral damage now, knowing that it won't have another opportunity like this for a very long time. Adaria ran up the building, using her retractable claws to dig into the structure and work her way up until she got onto the rooftops. In which she turned the Helicopter around to only focus on her. She then made the seemingly suicidal move to charge the Helicopter with both her blades, thousands of rounds of laser fire now aimed towards her as time seemed to slow down for her. Then...she jumped towards the giant metal deathtrap.
Natasha and Lucifer as well as surviving hellwalkers handled the soldiers. Launching powerful orbs of pure darkness towards them. Other hellwalkers joined in by firing beams of darkness amongst the barrage of orbs. A lot of Cryotechs soldiers fell from the first couple of waves and it just kept occurring. Because if there was one role hellwalkers were built for it was heavy bombardment and artillery. "Citizens, keep the pressure on them. Let Natasha's team deal with the chopper."
Adaria was hit multiple times by the laser fire, but used her agility to grab onto the side of the helicopter and swing herself into the cockpit hard and knocked out the pilot while also cutting down her enemies. Her blades did almost no damage to the advanced armor of Elysium, but she discovered that the weakest part of the armor is around the neck. Aiming there, she tore through the armor and stabbed three out of five soldiers to death as the Helicopter spiraled out of control. It was going to hit the ground soon...hard. Adaria took the captain, who wore more impressive appearing armor that sacrificed the overall durability of the other armor and stabbed him in the heart before kicking him out the helicopter. Taking the blade from the captain just before he fell, she jumped as high as she possibly could out of the helicopter just as it crashed into the Cathedral Church of Saint Barnabas, causing an enormous explosion that shook the ground within several hundred meters. Adaria was now flying towards the ground, hopefully able to land on her feet.
The Elysian armor, as Steve quickly discovered, was entirely ineffective against his armor-piercing rounds. Made of steel-jacketed copper with a depleted uranium core, the heavy bullets cut through the advanced alloys like a hot knife through butter. Taking down six soldiers in rapid succession, he reloaded the revolver and holstered it. As effective as the rounds were, he would need to save them for something more important than a bunch of grunts. Rushing into the crowd of soldiers with his tomahawk, he quickly discovered the same weakness in the armor that Adaria was exploiting above. By the time the chopper crashed into the church, Steve had taken out a dozen soldiers. He was also was bleeding profusely from a bullet wound to neck. Steve's carotid artery had been nicked, and he figured that he had about five minutes before he bled out.
Landing on her feet, ironically just like a cat, Adaria looked upwards to see two dead Elysium soldiers. She looked over to see Steve on the ground only to find that he had been shot in the neck. While the UMB tried to treat his wounds, Adaria's curiosity turned to the body of the Elysium captain that not only had an extraordinarily advanced sidearm, but two strange bottles of a blue gel. Taking over to Steve and moving the doctors out of the way, she found out that this gel was instantly sealing up the injury against infection followed by rapid healing that took a mere moment. Steve would have been back on his feet within a second. Despite the simple assassination that was committed, along with the body being purposely thrown out of the window to send a message, Five Elysium solider's and it's Cryotech reinforcements had managed to slaughter thousands upon thousands of innocents and destroyed any form of military action that came across them. From what Adaria had gathered, Elysium wanted to trigger a war in Europe in order to weaken the influence in the area by using the simple military tactic of Divide and Conqueror to finish the UMB. If Elysium were to win this said war with Cryotech, Elysium's power and influence on Earth would never be broken. Cryotech could have even been absorbed into Elysium with the benefit of being the warlords of all of Europe and having almost unnatural amounts of power. Food and Water would be widespread, medical treatment to any and all, technology beyond the wildest of dreams. The only disadvantage about this was that the newest form of government after the original Tech/Elysium war was reminiscent of Nazi Germany and it's racial ideology. The 'utopian' world of Elysium could have become a reality in Europe, the only thing stopping them is the infighting.
Natasha and Lucifer noticed the thousands of dead hellwalkers surrounding them. This just made them more angry. As soon as the night reached its darkest point the two held hands and pointed the free hand towards the horde of Cryotech troops. They looked into each others eyes as a large ball of dark energy formed. Larger than what a single hellwalker could do. Watching the display injured hellwalker guards and civilians joined them, Placing one arm on the shoulder and the other facing towards the enemy. THe more that joined the longer the line of hellwalkers was and the bigger and more powerful the ball of energy became. Natasha was amazed at the sheer power. "Wow, this is... amazing. Never before has this happened. It just proves that people are more powerful when joined together on the edge of lost hope and breaking." She turned to Steve. "Hey, Steve, Fancy adding a bit of thunder to the darkness."
Tanks began rolling in, but seven of them at the front were destroyed as a large man dropped from the sky. He took out a large great sword, Iriko slicing through several Tech units joining the man. They both charge, the man taking most of the shots, he flipped over a tank and began his killing spree, using several sword techniques, his armor would protect him for a short while. Iriko saw some choppers headed his way as he continued to kill more and more units, but saw the choppers were shot down by several beams. --------- --------- "Go Go Go!!!" A Sergeant yelled as resistance troops invaded the area as well, but only killing Tech units. The resistance played a huge role in this war, but stayed well hidden up until now. They rivaled the tech units, each side losing great amounts of soldiers. --------- --------- BioTech was at the edge of the battle, watching the massacre, "Hmfp, whelps." He jumped down, and when five resistance units were not paying any attention, with the flick of his large scythe they were all cut into two. He rushed into battle, killing many of the resistance.
Elysium, upon losing their original five soldiers and chopper, wasted no time in assisting Cryotech in their role of fighting against the UMB and the Resistance that assisted them. Within minutes, a squadron of heavily advanced aircraft hitting speeds of Mach 5 lined up their targets from over sixty miles away and shot five blue energy missiles at Nottingham. While three of them was shot down, the other two missiles made contact in the area, leveling all of Carlton and Arnold, half of the city in a single flyby before returning back to Elysium. Not long after they left, more attack choppers appeared as transports now entered the town, reinforcing Cryotech with well trained and highly disciplined Elysium soldiers
Steve thanked Adaria for the healing gel, and immediately got back to the fight. Elysian soldiers were flooding in faster than the Hellwalkers could put them down. This wasn't an attack. It was an invasion. The crate of weapons was empty, it's contents passed out to whatever civilians were able to fight. Hundreds of Nottingham citizens, Hellwalkers and Normals alike, had joined the battle. Armed with everything from kitchen knives to cricket bats, they swarmed the Elysian reinforcements, snatching the attackers' guns and turning them on their owners. However, despite their desperate courage, it soon became clear that a bunch of untrained civilians were no match for Elysium's shock troopers. Steve desperately searched for a way to save the civilians, but it seemed hopeless. Like the mythical Hydra, no matter how many soldiers he took down, two more seemed to appear in their place. He was just about to make a desperate rush into the enemy lines, when Natasha made an interesting suggestion. He couldn't add lightning to the darkness. His ability only worked on contact. However, perhaps there was a way to get around that... Half a block away, on the roof of a building, he spotted what he needed. Tossing his weapons and ammo into the empty crate, he grabbed a grenade from the belt of a dead Elysian and ran for the alley. Two minutes and one bullet to the vest later, Steve was on the roof, staring at a large water tower. Aiming carefully, he tossed the grenade at its base. The explosion tore apart the edge of the roof, and destroyed the tower supports closest to the edge. As the remaining supports gave way under the weight of the tower, Steve ran forward, leaping on the tower a split-second before it crashed onto the soldiers below. The tower fell into the center of the Elysian column. A dozen soldiers were crushed outright, and dozens more were washed away as hundreds of thousands of gallons flooded into the street. Steve screamed at the few remaining civilians to run, and pressed his hands to the flooded street. Elysian armor was remarkable. Strong, lightweight, and highly resistant to flame and electrical shock, it made its wearer almost invincible. Almost. More than a hundred soldiers had run towards the fallen water tower to help their comrades. When Steve electrified the water they were standing in, their armor saved them from being killed outright. Instead, the voltage that poured into their bodies through their armor acted like a taser, knocking them all to to ground. Within a few moments, armor the incapacitated soldiers began to get uncomfortably hot, as the electricity began heating the alloys. Within a few more moments, the screaming began. Three minutes after the tower hit the street, one hundred and twenty-two Elysian soldiers lay dead around it, nothing more than charred corpses in glowing, red-hot armor. His task finished, Steve ran back to the group and recovered his weapons. "That street is clear, for now. I would suggest getting any surviving civilians out of here as soon as possible." He turned to Natasha. "This is your city, and these are your people. If you think we have a chance against a force this size, I'll do what I can to help. However, I would strongly recommend that we get off the street. We're sitting ducks out here in the open."
"Head to the Victoria shopping centre, We'll meet you there." Natasha said to Steve as the huge ball of energy was shot at the helicopters. Hitting them with enough force that not only did it almost tip the helicopters on there sides but took a propeller or two with it. Then she noticed as some lorries and trucks came in, With the Hellwalker Mafia and other hellwalkers from America poured out. Natasha then headed to the Victoria shopping centre while Lucifer and the others ushered Civilians into different area's some following Natasha and some going to Broadmarsh shopping centre and its city of caves attraction or to the castle.
Steve's vest had taken so many hits during the battle that it was totally useless. Tossing it aside, he headed for his motorcycle. After getting one of the fleeing civilians to tell him where to find the shopping center, he rode as quickly as he could to his destination. When he arrived, he could already hear the attack choppers in the distance. Elysium was absolutely ruthless. Men, women, children... all were being slaughtered indiscriminately.
Three large ships shot Elysium choppers down, and gave ground troops ranging from Hellwalkers and Resistance support, tanks rolled in destroying what Elysium and Tech they could find, it was an all out battle. BioTech rushed at the same time Iriko did, both scythe and sword colliding, making several sparks. BioTech spun and swung for a mid slash but Iriko ducked and stabbed, only to get kneed in the face. BioTech kicked Iriko to the ground and readied his scythe only to see the swords man swiftly get up and charge. He liked this. BioTech charged a small ball of energy and shot it, Iriko dodged it and readied his weapon for a side sweep. When the ball hit the building the building began to decay, making it fall on various units.
Elysium decided to put on the pressure, sending in several more transports of soldiers and was now sending in at least two "Titans" from space, robotic 'game-changers' at least five meters high holding weaponry the size of cars that seemed to shoot pure plasma. The defenses included a shield and heavily reinforced titanium armor. It's only weakness it's its slow maneuverability, but is still faster than any human or hell walker in terms of running speed . One titan alone could level an entire city, the UMB now had to face against two of these monsters. The titans appeared as comets that crashed into the earth, knocking down any building and killing anything within a hundred meters of it's landing. The first one appeared away from the major fighting, in which it took it's rifle and shot a concentrated blue laser at the UMB, causing an explosion that vaporized them instantly and causing a small earthquake. Once done, the Titan then took off as it tore apart the UMB's offensives. The second Titan appeared outside down, shooting down the enormous ships as if they served to exist as a moving target in a single blow. This titan carried no rifle, but instead had powerful hand repulsors plus the ability to shoot from it's eyes. All aerial support for the UMB and Resistance was completely gone, it was all land-based from this point onwards. ------------------------------ While on his flight back to Elysium, Liang received a holographic message from Imperator Weiss while the shuttle was on auto-pilot. Liang looked at his leader as his spoke first to break the silence. "150 soldiers, 6 attack choppers, 2 titans..." Liang spoke before looking the older man in the eyes. "You wanted to start a war, didn't you?" Weiss had no emotion on his face as he responded. "Elysium is not just a place or a memory, Elysium is an idea. An idea that has manifested and grown to what it has become today. The United Midlands served it's purpose to only civilize their section of Europe until they were made redundant. Our methods might seem unorthodox and ruthless, but they all serve the same purpose in the end." "And at the moment, approximately 65% of the total population of Nottingham has been killed. I think we made our message clear, should we authorize a retreat?" "I believe that is a wise idea Liang. A proper war can start another day, we'll just wait until the Tech's decide they want to leave with us. Until then...." Weiss said, his eyes telling something that seemed to hint something, something that should never be mentioned unless it is to be a last resort. Liang's eyes darted to face his masters, he knew what he was thinking. "Omega would be suicidal sir. If we've used that now, it might do more harm to us than good." Liang replied back Weiss looked at Liang for a second before nodding. "You right. Omega should only be used as a last resort to ensure Tech and Elysium's survival. Continue home Liang." "Yes sir...." Liang replied as the hologram turned off and the shuttle flew into the endless horizon.
Watching the enemies retreat brought a sense of pride and hope to the people. Lucifer then ordered a complete enscription protocol to prepare for war. Alongside a United West protocol as well. Lucifer made allies in western europe by bringing back civilisation so hopefully they would side with the UMB and not Elysium as he knew they wouldn't keep to the deal that long. This destruction was a warning of that. He then approached Natasha and the others. "This is an act of war and we can not do this alone, We need western Europe on our side perhaps even more if we stand a chance against them. You will be to easily spotted if you head directly to Elysium by plane so we will drop you off in what is left of Paris and you shall begin your journey there. Unless of course you have better idea's."
The man had cut BioTech's left eye, but saw that the enemy were retreating. BioTech swiftly turned, holding what looked like a warp crystal, "See you later brother." He activated the warp crystal and disappeared, iriko got up from the ground, grabbing his sword and walked towards the group. He had various bullet holes, cuts, gashes, and major bruises. He grabbed his left arm and popped it back into place, the man walked over to the group as well, looking up as the robotic killing machines went away. "Titans," The man said puling a piece if armor off, revealing the Teck symbol, except it had a small hammer going through it, "I hope father knows what he's doing," He gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, "I hope that he can help us." Iriko looked at the armored man, "You, I recognize you." "Don't be surprised kid, your lucky I was here. If I wasn't, you'd be dead." Iriko raised his eyebrows, "Then your the one they call BladageTech?" "Yeah, one of the Omnisent six. The Tech family was designed to protect this Earth, even if it meant the extinction of mankind. CryoTech is only on their side to collect information, and rip them from the inside out, but no one knows that but me and PsychoTech. Those Titans have two weaknesses, the first is their slow movement, the second," He pointed to the back of his neck as an example, "Is a Plasma Battery keeping it active. Without that the thing will go haywire and self-destruct. I fear that CryoTech is pushing his little show too far." --------- --------- "Father," BioTech bowed, but was raised in the air as large amounts of pain was inflicted on his body." "YOUR A FOOL! HOW DARE YOU DEFY MY ORDER! THE POINT OF JOINING ELYSIUM WAS TO DESTROY THEM SLOWLY, NOT DESTROY A BLASTED CITY!!!" "F-father, I'm sorry! I-I had no c-choice, they w-would have killed me t-too!" BioTech said, trying to catch his breath as the oxygen was squeezed out of him. The being let him go, sighing, "WE WILL ACTIVATE THE CRONOS TECHNOLOGY, IT IS ONE OF OUR ONLY FIVE OPTIONS AT THIS POINT. BETRAY CRYOTECH, BUT DO NOT KILL HIM, HURT HIM, BUT LET HIM KNOW THAT I SAID SO. WE CANNOT HIDE NO LONGER, DUE TO YOUR FAILURE TO STAY HIDDEN, I AM PROUD OF ONE SON WHO DEFIES MY ORDER AS WELL. BLADAGETECH, FIND HIM, TELL HIM THAT PLANS HAVE CHANGED, WE MUST ACT IF WE WISH TO COVER THIS WORLD IN DARKNESS, NOW GO." "Yes, father." BioTech had brought a little present for his overlord, Elysium troops. They charged in, and whole 51 of them followed by, 20 tanks, and one Titan. The troops and tanks were destroyed in a flash of yellow, black, and red. A thin beam of black shot through the Titan's neck, causing it to explode. BioTech left the island, all doors have closed in the cavern, he was planning to kill BladageTech, but needed to side with his counterpart first.

The corridors of an important building were pitch black other than the moonlight that came in through the enormous cathedral like windows. Each window told the story of a member of the Tech family, stainless glass in majestic beauty. A figure dressed in black walked through the corridors, long blonde hair that was gelled back and piercing blue eyes. As he went through the corridors, avoiding Tech guards, he made his way to ‘the vault’, where he hoped to take something that would have determined the entire future course of history. Downloading the data using a wireless transmitter, it would have been a perfect mission had it been for two drunken guards waltzing their way into the vault to discover the Elysian spy. “Stop!” One of the guards spoke as the two of them raised their weapons at him while approaching right next to him. “Your under arrest. Comply or we use lethal force.” “Really, then allow me to introduce myself” the figure said, bowing politely before suddenly pulling out a knife from his belt and slitting the throat of one of the guards. Before the second guard could react, he found a black knife inside of his throat and his mouth covered up to allow little noise before gently placing him onto the ground. Once the data was taken, he looked at the bodies before vanishing into the night. He would be heading to Paris, he had one more lose end to tie up before he defected from Elysium completely. (I'm going to be writing Alot of useful notes in the OCC. I'm thinking of using this idea for a game I wish to create in the future.)
