Steve checked his watch, an old Rolex that he'd found in a safety deposit box a few years earlier. Though the time had gone by quickly, they'd been in the air for nearly nine hours. "We're currently over Ohio. We should arrive in New York in two and a half hours, and after that, on to Britain."
(Going to introduce our villains) A man sat in his chair, watching out an enormous window that shown the city of Elysium in it's glory and the surrounding area that went for miles into the horizon. Part of his face was covered by the shadow as a man stood next to him, a sword at his side and a black ponytail at the back of his head. "Cryotech has been restless. They've been demanding more supplies, mostly weaponry to conduct raids." The man with the ponytail replied with a baritone voice. The man he was standing next to was smoking a cigarette and a large glass of whine, dressed in a deep purple suit. "I don't particularly trust them either, but they've been working wonders in keeping the some areas of the planet docile." The mysterious man replied. "How have they been?" "From what I know sir, Elysium intelligence has gathered their last set of raids. Paris, Pretoria, Miami and Nipton Port. The raid on Nipton Port resulted in a failure, they were killed off by a group of wanderers in a plane." The man in the chair laughed to himself slightly. "Bunch of animals really. But I suppose they have their uses...from what I gathered, they are after this plane." The man thought to himself. "Still don't know how they managed how the killers of these cryotech soliders found a plane, but that is irrelevant. Make sure that Cryotech does not betray our interests." "And if the wolf turns rabbid?" The man with the ponytail asked. The mysterious man leaned forwards from the shadows, revealing beautiful white hair and a beard to reveal the elder's hair. What made him stand out was his unnaturally blue eyes as he turned to his associate. "Then we put it down."
(I'll play as the Tech family (Or part of it) for a few posts) Cryotech was in a throne room, wandering around, looking at his weapons. Three men bursted through the door, "Ilkos! You called us here, what seems to be the matter?" He turned to the men, "Elysium, We cannot rely on them for long." "Why?" A man in a straight jacket asked, this was Psychotech, one of the closest of the Tech family to Elysium. "A group of whelps are heading our way." "What about Vecta?" The tall man wearing camouflage asked, this was Gaiatech. "They are all dead but one, the leader. I am less worried about him though, I am more concerned about Elysium. They have tested on my body lately, made me stronger, faster, smarter, but something feels out of place." "How do you mean?" Psychotech asked as he crouched. Cryotech paced, "They want power, like us, except they are more worried about these misfits rather than us. We need to stay true to ourselves, we cannot support Elysium and their arrogant master for long, we are running short of supply due to this." Gaiatech looked at the other two and then to his brother, "The Tech military and its kingdom is falling apart, there have been disappearances recently, women, children, and men have been found with their blood, flesh and organs missing. I found some of the men from trashing the bodies where they are usually found-" "I want all shields up, Any resources do not give to Elysium until further order," Something wasn't right, "Make sure all civilians are safe, make sure any and all soldiers are on constant guard duty, dismissed." Psychotech walked out of the room and hid into a dark corner, he then used a device to call the Elysium leader's main servant, "Tell him that suspicions are up, there needs to be a meeting, we need to calm Ilkos down before he goes on a rage again. Psychtech out."
(Let's just move this right along.) A few hours before dawn, Steve set the plane down in the Hudson River and taxied until he found a dock. "We'll stop here until the sun rises. I need to make an inventory of the gear I collected from those guys at the airport, and I'm sure that you folks need to stretch your legs and powder your noses. We've got about three hours, so make the most of it. Welcome to Manhattan Island. We're currently just southwest of what used to be Central Park." Opening the cargo door, Steve stepped out onto the dock. The river was much cleaner than what he had read about. Apparently, a century without constant pollution had done wonders for the local ecosystem. When he was done taking inventory, maybe he'd go fishing,
Adaria was the first to step off, yawning while stretching her arms towards the sky. He looked around at the Hudson River, which was now much higher than it was during the old world. Most of New Jersey, Queens and southern Manhattan were underwater, and the Statue of Liberty was the only thing left above the river on the now underwater island. New York City was now more reminiscent of Venice, when it still existed. "I guess I could go sightseeing, always wanted to see this place." Adaria spoke. "Anyone interested in tagging along with me ?"
JJ stepped off the plane right behind Adria. "This is my home, and I could show you around if you want little kitty," she offered. As she walked a little farther from the plane, a shadow appeared out of the corner of her eye.
As the shadowy figure of Nex approached the plane he took mental note to keep his eye on the catgirl that his old colleague was with. "Its been a while, Angel." he said to the winged maiden.
Hearing her nickname called by a familiar voice, JJ acknowledged the tall figure, whom was cloaked in black and wearing a big human skull upon his helm. "Long time, no see Nex. For you to show yourself to a group of strangers, something must be amiss," JJ inquired wanting to get all the facts and priorities straight before any action is taken.
"I was actually looking for you. I heard that you were heading back here, and one of my informants said he saw a plane heading this way so I thought I would check it out." Nex said staring at the plane and sensing many a dark presence on board.
JJ answered back, "Cool. These people are on their way to Britain and were just dropping me off, making a pit stop, and sight seeing." "Would you still like a tour?" Iriko leaned on the plane, staring at the ground. He sighed, knowing that if he killed one Tech, they would all come after him, but at the same time he didn't want these people hurt. He barely knew them, but he didn't want an ancient war tearing them from limb to limb. Oh well, he thought, they are gonna survive this.
Taking four bullets back in Nipton Port had been worth it, as Steve quickly realized. He'd managed to collect six RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenade launchers and two dozen rocket-propelled grenades. He'd also collected a dozen AK-47 assault rifles, ten Glock 9mm pistols, twenty combat knives, twenty-seven hand grenades, and eight undamaged bulletproof vests. Additionally, he had recovered dozens of full ammo clips, giving him hundreds of rounds for the weapons. All told, he had enough gear to wage a small war. After taking one of the vests for himself, Steve stepped back out onto the dock. "I wonder what the arms market is like in Britain? I guess I'll find out soon enough."
Hearing the commotion coming from the guy, Iriko would ignore his items until Britain. Maybe there be some arms dealers there that would give him th chance to sell the items he picked uo back at that airport.
Isaac stepped out of the plane and promptly stepped foot into a pothile filled with water. "Ah... God save the queen I guess." He pulled his foot free of the water and shook it off. "I like that sock and shoe..."
Elysium had been keeping tabs on any suspicious activity that Cryotech, watching from a distance for any signs of betrayal. The moment that Cryotech made a move against them or murdered any innocents, Elysium would remove their entire "Empire" from existence. The Imperator walked towards the window once more, watching the city and it's inhabitants below before turning around and pressing a button, displaying a holographic map of the world. The ponytailed man stood proudly next to him as he spoke. "What is our next course of action, Imperator Weiss?" The Imperator took another sip of his glass of wine before continuing. "The previous administration decided to keep the benefits and treasures of mankind contained inside of a single city. Of course, this world is not perfect. I'm afraid that despite our unique culture, Elysium might fall to her enemies. If we are to establish order in this lawless world, then we are to take the appropriate actions in doing so. I'd seen what had become of the attempts to continue the laws of pre-war life. The infighting, the corruption. In Elysium, our society dedicated its citizens to something higher than themselves - to the idea of Elysium itself. Elysium, a society that could and would survive the apocalypse. A society that could prevent mankind from fracturing and destroying itself in this new world, by establishing a Pax Elysium." "Pax Elysium, sir?" The ponytailed man questioned. "A nationalist, imperialist, totalitarian, homogeneous culture that obliterates the identity of every group it conquers. Long term stability at all costs. I believe that Humanity must survive in this new world, we deserve a greater role in shaping the future ahead of us. It's a future that I intend to die for. The moment that Project: Omega is completed, we'll forever hold our power on Earth. But until then, keep tabs on the Tech family."
A knock would be heard from the door. Psychotech waited to entire. He out of all of the Tech have been with Elysium the longest knowing most of their plans. He was slightly impatient, but he had his own city to run, Psychomarun. It had started out as a small military bunker, but then a town was built above, then years passed and it became a large city. When Psychotech took over, the city was nearly destroyed due to the war between the Tech and Elysium. Tech won, but made a truce, rather a peace treaty to work together and create an empire above all. Psychotech became a warlord and a king, yet being one of the peacekeepers and psychopaths of the Tech family, he was the closest out of them all to Elysium, he use to be one of them.
