Lark felt foolish for entering the office. Who would call students in regarding a party? Stupid, stupid, stupid. These mistake could be the end of her. "This is stupid," she said, trying to appear nonchalant. She glanced at the other three students, meeting a few of their gazes. Her eyes were like smoke, and her iris almost swirled like a hurricane, her pupil as the eye of the storm. They were tense, and full of concern. She returned her gaze to the two men. "Is there any real reason we are here? I have to get to class. Ms. Turner gives us ten minutes of settling in at the beginning of class, and I didn't finish my homework."
Viktoria said nothing, and mainly look annoyed. She calmed herself down a bit, and remained silent, only giving the people a hard stare.
"We can see you're worried and that is normal when confronted by members of authority, but we're not here to arrest you." "Yeah, see. We're here to help you rather than hurt you, see?" "You'll need to come with us though. Protocol... 2-3-0-1 states that you will need to come with us" They seemed less and less official with every sentence but the two men had not noticed.
"I think you're right," Lark said to Kala, frowning slightly, and squinting at the two. "Besides, we haven't done anything wrong. We haven't robbed anyone or anything. Do you have a reason we need to go with you?"
" 'Course we are, kid. We need to get you lot sorted before word gets to the public. Who knows what'll happen." "So just be good and come with us. Protocol states we have to put handcuffs on suspects. Turn around and put your hands behind your back" Jared looked rather concerned as he looked from one student to the other as one of the agents turned him around and cuffed his wrists.
Lark growled, and her eyes were tumultuous storms. The headache of trying to restrain the power that had been building up was released, and a dense fog crept into the room, virtually rendering eyes useless. It was good for blinding the 'FBI men', but not so good for the others. A crackling of lightning came from her fingertips, and she looked down nervously. (Is the door locked with a key?)
As class continued on Bobby got the theme to X-Men stuck in his head. He wondered if any of the party goers became telepathic. It be interesting to know what happened to those that fell into the trap.
(No, it's just a twisty-lock thingy, whatever they are called) "The humans are escaping! Detain them!" "Yes, captain" The first 'Agent' kicked down the door in attempt to capture Kara while the other still held onto Jared. Jared kicked the agent in the shin, knocking him down a level and elbowed him in the face. The agent let go and was dazed for a few moments. In the commotion, Jared ran out the room. The brawl was barely audible from Bobby's classroom.
...Maybe he misheard things... he had read during the break that the shape of the inner ear affects how well you hear. His classroom was a distance away from the principles office he should barely be able to hear anything, but his curiosity got the better of him and modified his ears. What he heard was 'humans are escaping' Where their aliens in the school? He returned his inner ears to normal. He hoped he could remain under the radar.
Lark looked at the agent, who was recovering, and now reaching for her. She winced, and put her hand on his forearm, where lighting flew up his limb. She let go, and ran out of the office, down the empty corridor. Her heart pounded with adrenaline, and she knew that if she didn't calm down soon, something awful would happen. Sure enough, as she ran past a window, she glanced outside, and saw dark storm clouds approaching. It was frustrating, she thought, because if she were calm enough, she would have no idea how to conjure up the intimidating storm. She turned a corner, and came to a seemingly empty hallway, with one classroom at the very end, and a small closet. Lark leaned against the wall, and held a hand to her forehead, trying to catch her breath. Her hand was twitching, and Lark pulled it down from her temples to look at it. Standing up from against the wall, she turned her palm towards the opposite side of the hallway, and with a jolt, she shot a large gust of wind that quickly dissipated.
Viktoria looked around, as if in shock almost. Seeing as everyone was distracted, she attempted to just casually walk out.
2 more agents were waiting at the front door and heard the commotion. They drew a piece of strange tech from their holsters and ran into the building and towards Viktoria's and the other student's location. One of the agents back in the office took out his tech and began firing at the students. One of the agents by the entrance fired and hit the glass in the door of Bobby's classroom. The loud noises caused a commotion as students flooded the doorways of classes.
Kara peeked down the hallway to see if anyone was coming. "damnit, why did this happen?" she muttered.
And things were now getting worse. Not that he was going to mention aliens, but his parents gave him a cell phone for emergencies, and this was one. First he ducked under his desk. This was a job for the Police, he dialed 911.
Lark heard the glass shattering and thunder rumbled in the distance. She turned just in time to see Kara peeking out of the closet, and quickly walked over to the door, clearing her throat to announce her presence. "We have to get moving, I think. They're surrounding the exits."
