Hasbro just went through one of their "sweeps" and removed many episode streams off YouTube again. Xyro's Super Speedy Cider Squeezy upload was taken down. And the channel I use to stream videos http://www.youtube.com/user/thehochmaster2 had them all taken down as well. The good news is, is that hochmaster will re-upload all streams onto a new channel (as he had already done a few months ago from the previous Hasbro takedowns).
Well, isn't the season 1 DVD Coming out soon...? Only natural that they would want to make a profit off of this.
Season 1 DVD? Soon? I thought those were only rumors. I don't think we'll see a season dvd release for awhile.
I agree. I would love to pay for episodes, but not through iTunes. Too much restrictions on what you can play purchased media on and whatnot. When I pay for something, I should be able to use it how I want, not be restricted with what devices I can and cannot play the content on.
Well, I could be happy if I just could buy the episodes of Itunes. I still say Hasbro are making a mistake, if it were not for the youtube streams I would never had gotten into the show an would never buy a ton of blindbags. Not even starting on how taking down youtube videos is wasted efforts, there will always be more. I am not really suprised though, the world being through a major crisis on copyright and internet freedom. Still I warn you Hasbro, do not take the side of the MPAA and likeminded, that would not end well.
It's a tough decision though... If Hasbro doesn't comply, they face lawsuits. They really don't have a choice sadly.
I know, I suspect puppet threads by the same people who was behind SOPA. The very same enemy we have faced for months. Mainly the members of the MPAA and the RIAA, none of these are to be underestimated, the CEO of the MPAA Chris Dodd recently threatened Obama on fox news with withdrawn campaign money I have heard. Still, I am willing to pay for this show, if Hasbro let me that is. I wonder, if I would pay an american contact, and that person gifts me with both seasons on Itunes, would that work?
Hmm... To be honest, I'm not sure if it will or will not work. iTunes has many restrictions with what device content can be played on, but I'm not sure if they restrict what country the content is played in. I would think it would work since it is already purchased, why would it matter what country it is played in (what if I took a trip to England, now I can't listen to my music?). But again, I'm not positive.
Yes, Hasbro can't be blamed for this. It is the corrupt legal system and the MPAA that owns the legal system that are behind it. Hasbro is just doing what it needs to do. Notice that they only do what they have to and don't push the issue beyond that. Notice it was done before new episodes would be posted. Notice they are not pushing charges on any of the fans that posted the videos. I support what Hasbro is doing. I hope someday Chris Dodd and those like him either change their ways or are taken out of the picture.
Well, I found this comment on another site, what I wonder though, how is this possible? By the way, I guess Itunes files can be read on my laptop, can it? That has been my theory, yes. I cannot prove it but I have a feeling Hasbro are holding back.
I found these, you might want to download Youtube Downloader (http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/) before these go away: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_tW0TSVEV8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pM3IF1l3XQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBZYP7WPsUQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_krXkjDd2gY
IANAL, but from what I've seen about copyrights, they (Hasbro) have to actively enforce them or it gets hard to do it if it does get to court. If they let it go and all of a sudden have to take it to court, the fact that they weren't active in enforcing it earlier can be used against them and makes their case more difficult. /And their lawyers want to stay busy so they can charge more too...
I wasn't aware you could make an account under a different country. If that is true then I don't see why that wouldn't work.
