It looks like you've already gotten a wonderful reception here! You'll soon find out that this is one of the most amazing places ever on the internet. Hehe, he's no casual fan. He'd like to think he is, but he's actually quite hardcore. Look at his avatar, his profile picture and his signature. One of his favorite things to do while watching Ponies with me is to watch like a hawk for all the "obscure" characters, especially Lyra (who he calls "Heartstrings") and Derpy Hooves. He goes as far as to pause the episode partway through just to make a point of showing me where Lyra is. He's also huge into the research end of the whole bit; because he's only partway through season one so far, I've had to somehow keep him away from the FiM Wiki so that he doesn't see all the spoilers.
