Hi, I'm Minty, I'm almost 15. I just joined today, but I've been a fan of the show since day 1. The reason I started watching it was only because it was My Little Pony. I'm a huge fan of The Powerpuff Girls, but I didn't know the connection for the longest time. I was really into G3 and G3.5 when they were current, even if I was too old. I was a little upset when I saw MLP was changing like this, but only at very first. I realized quite fast that this show was clearly aiming at at least grade schoolers, and that it was clearly enjoyable in a much different way then the older versions. But I still would have never imagined anyone else would catch on, and I was half only getting into this because I thought it was socially rebellious. Now I am quite pleased that adults love this show because it proves that surprising gems are hidden in the most unexpected places, and that some of them are easy to find. Thank you all for noticing this show. I hope I have a good time here.
Welcome to the forum. You'll have a great time here, I guarantee it. I guess your favorite pony is Rainbow Dash, right?

It's always interesting to see someone who enjoyed G3-3.5. Most people I meet aren't to interested in those. Welcome to Everypony! Enjoy your stay here!
Thank you all! And actually my favorite pony is Fluttershy, and well as that gray, googly eyed background pony that seems to pop up everywhere in season two. I just really like Rainbow Dash's hair. Now about my liking G3 and 3.5, I was into G3 when I was 7 to 9, and G3.5 when I was 12. I still have a couple G3 DVDs and the one G3.5 movie, as well as lots of ponies, which I find very cute in their own way. I still watch the cartoons sometimes only for nostalgic purposes. I still find the songs fun and the over all cartoons cute, charming and sweet. But now I realize that the plots aren't nearly as thick as I used to see them, and some of the dialog is very cheesy and/or poorly written. But I still find them just cute enough in a very different way then Friendship Is Magic. I only ever saw one G1 special once when I was six or seven and I don't remember it that well, so I don't know what I think of that.
