As someone who has been on this planet for 23 years, I've begun to question America, it's values, and it's worth.
For far too long has money, power or self-centeredness been eating away at America's mind.

    I'm so damn tired of all of these racial/ethnical stereotypes being spread around, with many people believing this on first impressions, including but not limited to (And I mean no offense by stating these extremely inappropriate stereotypes);
Black People being Drug users, Dropouts and Gangsters, Muslims being terrorists, Christians being over-religious freaks, Aetheists being ignorant jerks, Mexican/Central Americans being drug-runners and crime lords, Asians being communists, etc.
I'm tired of self-centered idiots thinking they govern other's lives and thinking they can stomp on anyone who gets in their way.
Right now people are fighting and dying in Libya because of the revolution there, and people sit and joke about it saying that, and I kid you not, I read this myself, "Useless N****** fighting was inevitable."
Seriously? Is this what people have fought and died for, only to be insulted by their own people? Why does such ignorance exist in other people? I'll tell you why.
Because people do not care. They figure that if it isn't them, it doesn't matter. They have the mindset of “I am strong...I am wise...I am handsome...and I am right! Always! More than anybody!”
It's people like this that make me regret living in this country. While it exists everywhere, moreso then ever, with the media over-exagerating everything, America has become a cespool of Racism and Bigotry.
I'm not saying that everyone is like this. You guys alone (ePONYmous and Luprony, for example) are kind people, that do not prejudice based on their Beliefs. It merely disgusts me at how many people are willing to cast aside others just so that they can live another day.
I'm tired of Politicians (Or however you spell it; I hate politics) running our country using a system of fear and mudslinging. I don't know much about other countries, but the nation was built FOR the People and BY the people. People casting this aside to make their own wealth and not giving a damn about other people P me off. Really badly. It's like with these people, the words "Respect" and "Responsibility" were erased from their vocabulary.
I officially announce that after I am finished with my college years, I'm moving to Wales. America might be one of the best nations in the world, but it has some of the most ignorant people. It is for this reason that I'm not coming back after I leave. Except maybe to see Miami again. That'd be the only time I return there.
People like the guy below really shouldn't exist. They have their opinion, but I know for a fact that that opinion is wrong and they seriously need to stay the hell off of my lawn, if you know what I mean.

/rant Inspired by this YouTube comment: "Lol, N****** are gonna fight. It's in their nature, they don't know any better. If I could pop a cap into one of them I'd do it. In fact, I wouldn't mind killing them all. Less apes running around and polluting our planet."

This man needs a "Racist of the Year" award.

They may be ignorant, but at least you're doing the right thing and moving away from what you dislike, rather than supporting to restrict our freedom of speech, so I support you in that sense.

People have a right to say what they want to say. I agree to that. Restricting the Freedom of Speech is like taking your thumbs away; you can hardly do anything.
And I'm NOT joking here. I'm moving to Wales after my years in college are up. I haven't taken it up with Chris or Brianna yet, but I can only hope they can understand my decision.

I'm sure they will support whatever you want to do, dude. I'm planning on moving to Canada someday and hoping to escape some of the fallacies of this country myself, being viewed as an arrogant American is annoying sometimes, not all of us are stuck on a social network talking about how we hate stupid things or how cool celebrities are.

Racism and Politics are the only thing that make me so angry that I punch a wall.
I punched a wall 15 minutes ago when I read the comment in my first post, and now there is a giant hole.
Yet another 200 bucks out of pocket.
You have no idea how right you are. Your intelligence speaks for itself. Which is to say, you are one of the most intelligent people I have "Met".
I was in complete control of myself, as I always am, when I punched the wall. (Unless it is one of those Drunken Rage things.)
My anger does not come out in words, it comes out with action. No, I'm not going to shoot someone, don't be silly.
Using words only makes this worse for me; I always stumble with them when I am angry. Hence why I punch something, or do a *Headdesk* as hard as I can, because I know that If I don't let it out somehow, it's going to eat away at me. It's what I've always been taught, and I have practiced it since my youth.
Corrupt governments are not new things. They are as old as Governments themselves.
I don't care who you are; you insult someone based on their skin, you're messing with me. Religion I'm more leniant about, unless it's the "Muslim's are terrorists" bullcrap argument. Then things get serious.

I'm not trying to be rude when saying this, but you've got to learn how to control yourself, there will always be people that will do/say stupid things, it's human nature and gets the best of us sometimes, and our government is overpowering and corrupt but we're finally starting to get a hold of that thought after being pushed out of the general mind for so long. I also dislike racism, but I always found hate crimes to be incredibly un-equal and separate us even more.

Dude, Saikyo, there are instructions how to patch up that wall yourself for fairly cheep. It's super easy, i've done it loads of times haha

The thing that really bugs me is when people blatantly do stereotypical things, generally because that's what everyone else in their social group does. I live in Utah County, people here seem to take vasts amount of pride in acting like a stereotype. I'm mainly talking about the mormon religion here, but i do personally know a few black guys who act gangsta mainly because they are black, and they feel that's how to base their identity.

I guess what i'm trying to say is you have some FREAKING STUPID people on one side of the fence being racist and making A-wipes out of themselves. And on the of the side of the fence you have some FREAKING STUPID people completely willing to fulfill moronic idiosyncrasies because it's the in thing to do

    Who's wrong? All of them.

This is all coming from some punk atheist however, so feel free to take with a grain of salt.

That was a stereotype commonly associated with most American's with religious faith. You can't go two seconds on a 9/11 video without something going on.
It was not supposed to be taken as my actual view on aethiest's (or however you spell it... grammar is horrible today.) ; I suggest you refer to my posts on this thread here: http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?1084-I-Need-to-Say-This for my view on stuff.

I at one point, and occasionally still do, strongly hate(d) people who acted in blissful ignorance and self-absorbment, without a care or notice to anything on the outside world, but only towards the ideas and misconceptions they let bounce around in their head, that they accept as fact.

Right now I'm in more of a state where I can honestly give them my love and indifference simultaneously, not caring what they say. I relish in my differences that are stereotypically and social-typically "wrong". And when they decide to try and bother me physically about it, then anything I do in response is self-defense. :33

Overall, I'd have to say I'm happy with how myself and the world have developed- not with how people have become, but how little I can let that affect me. Worst-case scenario, well, I don't fear death.

I really feel like every development could easily be a step toward a right direction. I don't care if it's naive or stupid, that's the fun of a Xanados Gambit-mentality.

I'm sorry if anything (or everything) I've said didn't make sense. I'm ridiculously sleep deprived, which I'm about to solve right now. xS

No worries man, I meant it in a joking way. Like i said, I'm from utah, I lost a large part of my friends, and some of my extended family stopped talking to me when I decided not to be a mormon. Being a punk is quite the complement compared to what i normally get haha.

Ah, the classic "Every Situation is a win" mentality. I wish I could have that mentality. But I'm too focused on making other's better in life than my own well being.
Life is like chess; it's about predicting both your next move, and your opponent's. Guess wrong, you lose the game, which can mean a number of things.
I share your views; but I can't idly stand by while people make fun of/insult those who are having troubles, to say the least, when they are people too.
Everyone is a person. But when a person harms another, I can't stand there and let it happen.
Oh, well then. Off to sleep. I need to think about this.

Lets do an Everypony Forums Florida meetup! ...in Orlando! I can't drive all the way down to Miami. :DFH:

Anyways, nice rant. Some people are just racist. Also, if you do go to Wales, maybe you'll meet some of the people here on the forums. I don't remember specifically who actually lives in Wales, but I know that someone does.

I agree, I don't like america and the kind of people the majority are there.

What I fear is that Australia is becoming more and more americanised. In fact we frequently have inside jokes here of out Prime Minister kissing the ass of the President. Especially during the George Bush & John Howard years.

I cheered when Obama became president, but to my dismay it seems to have made no difference to America.

Tell the truth, I don't think England is much better. In fact, I think they're both as bad as each other! No attention paid to earthly law and order no more.

True, true. That's why I'm thinking of retiring to Holmfirth in my old age. They did Last of the Summer Wine there! It'd be good for memories.
