Another day had passed by on Earth, home world of the Human race. The world was rich in life, animals scattered around their environments as they continued their cycle of their own lives. Mankind had fought many battles throughout its history, from scavenging as cavemen, the birth and death of might empires, then breaking into the future at unimaginable speeds. Little did they know, that they were about the most important battle of their lives. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 09:45 hours. The Pentagon. Washington D.C. United States of America The Pentagon was going insane with reports of unidentified craft just passing the Moon. They had no idea what it was, only to know that it was roughly the size of Los Angelis and also appeared to be breaking up with smaller yet still enormous ships leaving the craft. Then the cycle continued with smaller ships coming out, and then it became even smaller. Once they were half-way, the United States realised what they were dealing with......
Steven was walking alone, utterly oblivouse to what he would soon be faceing. "I wish I had a traveling partner." He stoped to practice his fighting on a few trees. He found a sturdy stick and used it as a makeshift sword. Steven was good at hand to hand combat and swordsmanship, he practiced many means of self defense, being all alone in the world, he had to practice ways to protect himself. His favorite way by far was precision weapons. After a while he realized he was lost. He looked at a map he carryed with him. He noticed he was near Washington so he decided to head there. He headed towards Washington in the hopes of finding friends.
A man was working for money on a farm. His name was Joshua Taylor, or Josh or JT as everyone calls him. He was almost finished college, succeeding faster than everyone else. He loved the country, everything about seemed so peaceful. A year ago he had to sell his dogs, Katy and Rusty. He had no money at the time, until he found this one, barn work. There was an old man named Jacobson. He was nice in everyday possible, and his granddaughters (Which they were ages 16-18) would come over to mess around with Josh. Joshua lived alone in a small town called Pleasanton (In real life I live here). It was peaceful, aside from all of the rednecks and idiots around him, Josh had no family. They died in car crash while Joshua was at the prom. He was depressed ever since, but had to let that feeling go and move on with his life. The bills he paid for the house he lived were fairly small, since he didn't use much electricity nor water. Joshua had just finished cutting up wood close to the barns hay stack, and it was the last part of the day.
Once they were within distance from Earth, the ISS was the very first victim of the sudden attack on the planet, shooting the space station to oblivion as it re-entered the orbit of the planet a short time later, the pieces that did not burn up in the atmosphere crashing into the ocean or landing in remote areas of the planet. All of the lives on the ship were ended instantly, absolutely no warning was exercised. It was....sudden. The Mothership stopped itself above the planet, aiming it's main cannon towards Brazil, while many other cannons aimed themselves at important cities. Upon running a scan of the planet, the invaders targets were the most densely populated areas of cites around the globe, wanting to take as many lives as possible before the attack officially began. They wanted communications on the satelites amongst the humans up for some reason, but would not play a role until the invasion was well underway. The invaders were the Kalboth, an enemy mankind had never fought before. (With the ISS being blown up, the invasion could be made official. Upon reaching Washington, Steven did the one thing he knew to do best. He sought a local library. He intered the building and picked up a few books. He started reading one about an alien attack. These were Steven's favorite books. Science fiction books like this are the reason his training had became so diverse. He had always trained in fighting and self defense by reading books about them and taking classes, but after reading a few sciencefiction novels. He started training in many wepons. Little did he know he would soon be plunged into science fiction it its worst.(Untill you give some indication that regular people know, I'm going to have Steven just wander. Not realy much to do sense he can't well, see the mothership.)
Josh had finished up chopping wood, the last part of his work every day. His abs were hardened, his muscles pulsing, this was always the perfect workout for him. After work, Mr. Jacobson invited him for dinner, not caring that his granddaughters were over there. Josh accepted the invitation, and went in the house asking if he could take a shower.
Stephanie was at work as the whole thing happened and due to it being daytime over in Australia didnt really notice the whole explosion in the atmosphere. Her work was simple, look pretty for her boss and do what her boss asks her too. Sure it was demeaning being a secretary but at least it paid well. Especially since her boss was the CEO of a large company. After work She quickly finished off her work and headed out back to her car to head home. To get ready for her trip to Sydney with her university friends.
Two minutes of showering was that it took for him to get worn out. Joshua had gotten dressed in his second pair of clothing, getting ready to eat. He walked out of the bathroom and left the door open to allow the heat and steam to escape. He made his way down stairs only to be greeted by one of Jacobson's granddaughters, Anna. She looked beautiful tonight, but Josh didn't care, he didn't need a relationship right at the moment. He walked pass her, but felt something tug on his arm. Anna was trying to pull him up stairs, but he wouldn't budge. Josh saw the lust in her eyes as she tried to do something new. Anna pulled Josh in for a kiss, until she was pushed away by the 7'5 tall man. He looked down at her, "Thank you, but no thanks. I'm not looking for a relationship right now." He began to walk away. "You know, if it weren't for my grandpa you wouldn't even have a home nor friends. As always, you will be stubborn with these types of things. So, how about that one chick you like what was her name? Rhia-" She was cut off as Joshua spoke. "Don't you dare speak of her. She's gone now, and this DOES NOT involve HER." Anna laughed, "Ever since she died you've been depressed. Your a Virgo, am I right? I'm a Libra, meaning that we're a perfect pair. Meaning that I am superior to you, meaning-" "Okay let me stop y'a there, because ONE: You Are Not In Control Of Me, TWO: I'm getting sick and tired of you always trying to convince me to have sex with you, Its NEVER going to happen. Three: there is a time and place for everything, but really? After all of this time, you couldn't catch on a monday or friday? But in case you were wandering again, NO, I will not do it with you. I'm still a virgin and I prefer to waste it someone worth my time, I'm not being a douche or anything, I'm saying what I think." Josh noticed she was getting mad, and she bursted out with, "HOW DARE YOU!!! I'M MORE SUPERIOR THAN YOU, I'M MORE BETTER, SMARTER, AND MORE TALENTED THAT YOU'LL EVEER BE! AND I WILL MAKE SURE MY BOYFRIEND WILL-" "Anna!" an old voice yelled out. Jacobson walked in, with the look on his like 'really?.' He walked over to Anna who seemed too ticked off to even yell, "Young lady, what have I told you, never aggravate your guest. But you insist on doing so anyway. When will you let this greed and lust go? When will you come back to reality? Dinners ready Joshua, thank you for staying over." "Nono, thank you for inviting me, I needed the company." Joshua said as he walked out of the room and into the dinning room. There were huge platters filled with fruits, vegetables, and meats. He sat down at the table as he was greeted by the other granddaughters. They stared at his muscles for a bit, studying his body but went back to eating afterwards.
Above Earth A figure dressed in formal clothing looked at the planet below him as he stood on the command bridge, his six bright yellow eyes appearing as a dominant feature against his grayish-green skin. On his right, scans of all of the major cities on Earth were being presented. Architecture style, population density and overall devastation data was being presented on an enormous screen. On his left, a view of the planet itself. The cruisers leaving the mother ship were already heading towards Earth, but would not make themselves known until the bombardment was complete. His hands were behind his back as he then spoke calmly in a deep alien language. “Fire” (The Kalboth or "Alien" language will be translated to English for easier understanding for this RP) 13:38 hours. Rio de Janeiro.Brazil The main cannon of the mothership charged up with a brilliant green-blue energy source, charging up in power before unleashing from an enormous cannon half a kilometer long. The energy fell towards the earth towards its target of Rio de Janeiro. Once it entered Earth’s atmosphere, it created a ripple effect across the sky itself as clouds were pushed away from what appeared to be an enormous shock wave. The energy fell towards the city’s most dense area in population, before erupting in an apocalyptic detonation equivalent to a 10 megaton nuclear bomb. While it lacked in power in quality, the Kalboth made up for it in quantity with hundreds of cannons being aimed at many other important cities. Once news of the destruction of Rio broke out across the media, the next attack hit Las Vegas half an hour later alongside the total confusion amongst the human race.
As she was almost out of Adelaide Stephanie heard the news on the radio, Talking about Rio and Vegas. She was increasingly concerned picking up her cell phone and warning her friends to get out of Sydney and meet her in Adelaide. She then turned round and headed straight for her parents house hoping that her father still had his spare hunting rifle and his original G1 megatron transformer. just so she could use it for intimidation. It did transform into a pistol after all.
They all sat at a large wooden table eating and joking around. Everyone including Anna was having a good time, while music played on the radio. Josh enjoyed the environment, everyday he would try his best to enjoy life. It was 10:31 P.M. where he was. A sudden flash could be seen through the window as it grabbed everyones attention. "Stay inside!" Jacobson said, "Joshua and Martha, your both coming with me." Martha was Jacobsons wife. She was sweet and kind, but stood out from the rest of the elder women. She was her own person. As they got outside, they saw a large ball of fire streak quickly across the sky. Where ever it was going, it wasn't going to hit Kansas city from the looks of it. Kansas City was small, but at the same time it seemed large due to its population.
A lone news reporter sat at his desk, covering the breaking news of the sudden destruction of two major world cities. Reporting from a underground area for protection, he had the courage to cover what many could not. "Las Vegas and Rio had been attacked by now what has been confirmed as an invasion by an Alien race, with sightings suddenly appearing of enormous ships flying over devastated cities. Any attack against this threat has been faced with total failure, with ALL current aircraft being shot out of the sky by fighters performing at speeds far beyond our level. These alien ships are landing outside of Rio and Vegas, preparing for a ground assault upon any survivors, but their appearance is currently unknown. The orbital attack has been intensifying with wide-spread panic and even rioting in cities currently unaffected. We ha-" The reporter replied before holding his fingers up to his ears as his face turned deathly pale, as tears began to swell up in his eyes before managing to speak. "Reports just in.... New York City has been destroyed, with a strike hitting Times Square wiping out anything within 5 kilometres from impact, but all infrastructure being damaged within a 30 kilometre radius from the air-blast alone. It is estimated that nearly 3.5 million have died from this strike. The reporter then held his ear again. "The invaders have been sighted heading towards Western Europe and Central Asia, but sightings have been reported from Boston. Within this rate.....3 billion will die by the end of the night.
The ball of light seemed beautiful. As it went in contact with what ever it made contact with, rumbles in the ground could be felt. There was a blinding light in the far distance way beyond the tree line. A wind greeted the two elders and young adult, it felt... hot. More rumbles could be felt and the wind had picked up. "Back in the house," Josh had said, "Back in the house!" The wind picked up even more as trees were quickly knocked down from what looked like... fire? The three made bcd in the house and as they closed the door, the house collapsed. It was almost destroyed, and was reduced to nothing but ruble and ashes.
24 hours later Within the first strike on Humanity, the devastating attack on Earth had much more drastic effects then what was previously thought. 3 billion were killed during the bombardments, with the orbital strikes intensifying enormously from two cities being destroyed in an hour until escalating to nearly sixty cities an hour. Smaller cities with a population of under 300,000 were nearly wiped from the map, while the remainder of the major cities on Earth being transformed to lifeless urban wastelands. Overall, 233 cities were hit worldwide. The worst hit being Los Angeles, Paris, and Beijing. Surviving monuments, such as the Arc-de Triomphe and the Eifel Tower in Paris surviving did little to repair the broken spirit of mankind. The ships of the Kalboth began to land on Earth, with small cruisers just over a hundred meters long landing outside the destroyed cities, while the city sized Mothership broke up into five enormous pieces and landed in different areas around the world to conduct the extermination process of Mankind. It was then when the Kalboth finally revealed themselves to the world, gunning down any Human that came in their savage path.
Stephanie noticed the aliens as she got back in the car. the rifle and a bunch of ammo in the passenger seat. She grabbed the rifle and sunk into her seat hoping she wouldnt be spotted.
In the ashes and destruction of a once bauetiful home, a piece of wood slightly moved as something had risen up. Josh, the only suviver was bloodied and battered, covered in ash as he began seeing ships land in several spots that was too far away. He limped his way out of the rubble, and began walking through the dirt. There was no grass, no trees along the horizon, only a fight that he was whittnessing. Josh linped along the side of the road, hoping someone might pick him up, or something better.
