How to explain... I had sorta been "discovering the magic of friendship" before I even discovered the show and my reasons boil down to basically about surviving and thriving in this dangerous world. Despite the numerous faults, humans have been putting their strengths and skills together to find a way to live on this planet...... If you could call it that but I digress.
Throughout recorded history, this has happened through various forms of coercion through imposed authority. Since I'm aiming to see a group of people work and be productive without coercion. You might think that sounds whimsical right off the bat but I've found some research that implies that we as humans might learn how to do that. It's called Swarm Theory and it says that social insects in particular have no formal hierarchy or appointed leaders yet they not only remain stable as a group but also carry out some pretty remarkable feats in how they solve the routine problems social insects face. Not only does it happen without formal leadership, it also happens without them having to have elaborate language like us. Rather, they just follow simple rules of thumb and are always interacting with one another. That's really all the individuals are doing yet somehow this and large numbers translate into a collective intelligence.

Some of the things I learned is that it's the decisive ones who lead. I've actually experimented this myself. The context to keep in mind would be that splitting up wasn't an option under the circumstances. Various other points come from me having been on EP and observing or experiencing what happens. Something a lot of us might know first hand would be is that it only takes a few poisonous individuals to hurt an entire community. Having a common goal should help the community be more cohesive. Diversity is an interesting subject and its relevance is something I'm still trying to figure out.

So what does this have to do with love and tolerance? A healthy community is one that's cohesive and that involves something familiar; harmony. To have better clarity of how that can be done, I tend to take this macroscopic perspective.
