He smiled, then nodded. "Very nice. But next time please spell my name correctly! Next up! Shield!" He stared around the class.
Silver Shield heard his name being called from beneath the mound of reading material and tried to escape his prison of literature, but only succeeded in stirring the pile around and bumping his head on the fallen bookshelf that covered both him and the books. "Um...I'm here," he said, probably not loud enough for anypony to hear him. He tried to move the books with magic, but he could only move one at a time. It wasn't fast enough, oh gosh, and he was gonna get in trouble and then everypony would think he was dumb and ohmigoshohmigosh WHAT WOULD HE DO?!
Quill was startled by Allure's blantant applause. He blushed slightly and turned his hoof on the floor. "It wasn't that great...I lost concentration half way through and probably misspelled a few-" As if to confirm his suspicions, Eclipse's voice rang out, Very nice. But next time please spell my name correctly! At those words, he immediately clammed up and sank into his seat. [size=-2]"Sorry..."[/size]
Allure sat down and pouted after Silver was chosen to perform next. 'Just keep cool and go over the spell in your head...' she thought. Looking around the room, she noticed Silver had fallen under a pile of books. "Oh dear!" she said. She got up and trotted over to him and proceeded to removed books from on top of him (without use of magic, of course). "There! Now then, what do you do?" she asked him curiously.
Silver smiled shyly at Allure. "Uh...thanks," he said. He stood up, then shrunk back again after noticing that the rest of the class, including the teacher, were looking at him expectantly. "Um..." He backed into the bookshelf, and blushed profusely. It was made all the more noticeable by the lightness of his coat. Can't think straight...got to perform a spell... can't think straight...everypony's looking at me, oh Celestia what will I do...I look so dumb... Silver stood there awkwardly for several moments, then closed his eyes. At first it looked like he was going to cast a spell, but after about 30 seconds it became evident that nothing was going to happen, and he was just hiding from everypony.
"Come on Sheild, just act like we aren't here!" Snow suddenly piped up, Snow turned to the paper in front of her, it was an impressive spell, but he forgot her name. Oh well, Snow thought, Not everypony's perfect.
Velvet smiled sadly to him, understanding his nervosity. ''Just chill out, Silver. You can do it. Focus.''
Fizz was completely unaware of what was going on in the back. Instead, she had her eyes looking up at the blackboard, the ceiling, Eclipse, anything really. Her eyes were moving around like she was chasing a fly with them as she held her hair aloft with her hoof.
Just quick...cast...something, anything... Shield's horn sparked, and slowly an opaque dome formed around him, hiding him from the rest of the room. After a few more moments, it didn't look like anything else was going to happen. It just stayed there, continuing to shelter Silver from their gazes.
Allure shrieked when the dome completely masked Silver from their view. "SOMETHING'S EATING HIM! AHH!" she went up to the shield and smacked it, but it's consistancy threw her across the room where she landed on her flank. "Oww..." she groaned. Getting up, she looked back at Silver's shield. "Somepony, do something!" she said fearfully.
"Stand back, fillies." Velvet closed her eyes, and the room covered in shadows. Darkness emaned from her body, and everything seemed to be covered by a grey veil. Then, she opened her eyes, her dark irises glowing in a purple light, and the sphere covering Silver shattered, but stayed around him. Then, she stayed focused, and calmly said "Even if i weakened it, it's still to hard! Can somepony throw something at it?"
Silver frowned. Now he was just even more of an attention magnet. Ugh. He dropped the shield, and looking down at his hooves, hurried back to his desk, tidying the area around him of any remaining books with his magic. Without looking up, he said, "I'm sorry. I-I won't do it again, I promise!" He was on the verge of tears, but tried to hold them back like a big colt.
Velvet emerged from her concentration state, and the light went back to normal. Her eyes returned to their dark purple color. She smiled gently to Silver. "A shield, huh? I ain't that powerfull, but trust me when i say that this shield was sure something unbreakable. You don't have to feel sorry for such an awesome magical performance."
Allure uncovered her blue eye to look upon the spectical. "It was a...shield?" She said hesitantly. "Wow! I've never seen anypony conjure a shield before!"
(Thats it. 4 post limit now.) Eclipse cleared his throat. "Ok then! Very good Mr.Shield! Now! Miss Allure!" He looked over at Allure. "To the rest of the class NO POINTERS!!!!!" He began to shout.
Allure quickly faced Eclipse with vigour. "Don't worry, Mr. Eclipse!" She said. "I don't need pointers! I know exactly what I'm doing!" As she walked towards the front of the room, she whispered "[size=-2]I hope...[/size]". When she reached the desk, she turned towards the class. 'Now's you're time to show what you're made of, Allure!' she thought. "Here goes!" she said aloud. She closed her eyes and focused only on her horn, and not on any of the nearby ponies. She made the tip of her horn sparkle and die out. Startled, she opened her eyes and looked nervously at the rest of the class. "I...uhh...hold on! I can do this!" she said quickly. This time, she sat on the floor and concentrated. After a moment of her horn shining, a bubble around half the size of her popped out the end. "Success!" She yelled. Now for the icing on the cake. She focused her magic again and began compressing the bubble into a shape, but before it could finish, the bubble wandered past her and ran into Fizz, causing it to pop.
It mostly popped by Fizz because she, enjoying games, clapped her hooves together at the corner of it. This resulted in much merriment and giggles as she grinned playfully and squirmed. "Oh, I luff bubbliez!"
