A thread inspired by this pic and scene from MLP

there are many of us men who cry this is true but there are some men like me who never cry even when reading things like (my little dashie)

but we do cry only it is very rare, but when we do cry it is ether by such force that only a single tear drops or it is tears that make others think your crying blood

so this thread is about those rare moments of manly tears and what brought you to have them

i can only remember two things right now that brought me to do such a thing

one is the star trek TNG episode "the offspring" were commander DATA tries to make a daughter

the 2nd and most recent is while playing gears of war 3 with the entire scene with Dom (you know what im talking about)

    what about you guys?

I may seem like a fragile person on the outside, but I never cry. Ever.

Don't know where to start. MLP fan fics all the time. (my little dashie, past sins, a dragons detour).

Anything that's deals with rainbow dash and scootaloo.

    Toy story 3

The end of episod 2 season 1 of MLP

When I hear the sonic rainboom noise ( no idea why it happens)

I'm quite ashamed of myself. Recently I've cried just soo much, even over little things.
My depressive episodes from bi-polar more than likely contributes to this.

Most recent was yesterday with Miggy leaving for America, with the assumption that I wouldn't be able to talk to him for a whole week.

ive actually shed (at least to memory) manly tears only two or three times over some form of media. one was admittedly my little dashie (i had sad classical music playing at the time, and i was in an awful mood to begin with. what can i say :p), but the other was actually when i read marley and me. when they were burying him at the end, and the kid dropped the note in, i was absolutely bawling. i live in a family that is really animal-friendly and obsessed, so i dont take their deaths well.

i feel like theres a movie that made me cry, but i cant remember at the moment (itll come to me eventually). as for video games, the only real attachment and remorse over any characters death was Brooklyn in CoD 2: Big Red One. since then, i havent been attached to any character in any cod game, or game in general since.

Edit: Pixel got it, it was Toy Story 3.

Oh man... That scene, that was such a hard hitting scene...

I cry when I read sad fan fictions, I've always been a sensitive person.
Video games, not so much... I don't really remember a scene in a video game that made me cry...
But books, those hit me the most, and movies too, if it's right...

There's also that sad, happy sort of feeling... Those feel nice sometimes...

I just remembered another an pokemon creepypasta by the name smile.

It was like a waterfall, I couldn't stop. It wasn't even sad.

I guess that doesn't count as manly tears.

No video game has ever made me cry.

I didn't find Past Sins that moving in the sense it could incite tears, but the story was a little intense at moments. I can't bring myself to go back and read Spark or Of Mares & Magic again, though.

The past sins wasn't tears of sadness. More like warmhearted tears. I love the ending. The part in past sins when
twilight loses Nyx and when she is almost hung, yep tears went flowing.

I forgot about of mares and magic. That thing tore my heart out.

Wall-E. Pixar are geniuses with emotion. Toy Story was a brilliant film as well, but just didn't do the same for me as Wall-E's relationship with Eve.

Before MLP I was a rock, I only cried once before MLP.

I bet if I watch wall-e now, I'd cry. In fact I will test that. I haven't seen that movie in forever.

I really, REALLY wish I could cry sometimes, but it just doesn't happen. I cry maybe once, twice a year.
But since the pony thing started for me, I do find myself choked sometimes when I'm really touched by something.
It feels good. I hope I'm slowly breaking out, learning to surrender to emotions.

I hardly ever cry, to be honest. The last time I did shed manly tears, however, is when I read My Little Dashie. An excellent Fanfic, and my favourite so far.

I'm way too sensitive when it comes to manly tears. The ending to Portal 2, Jorge's Death in Halo: Reach, Toy Story 3's ending, Heartwarming's Eve episode where they are in the cave, Twilight turned to grey by Discord, Applejack returning to Sweet Apple Acres in the cutie mark episode and PMV: The Stars will Aid in her Escape are the major culprits for me. If I become attatched to something and it goes, tears come out in buckets. My eye ducts will dry up when the My Little Pony episodes end.

I never read "My little Dashie" until last night. It did make me tear up a little bit, but I know there are better fanfics out there. For instance a friend of mine wrote one that has become pretty popular. It is quite sad and tragic, but very very well written and makes you realize that you need to appreciate what you have, while you have it. Also to never loose touch with your best friends. The story is The Last Party, by Carmine.

I must say, the saddest fanfiction of MLP has nothing on the saddest Mega Man Zero fanfic I've read. Sorry fandom, you have hearts of gold by comparison.

If Pixar is good at one thing it's getting manly tears to be shed. Toy Story 3 is great, but with Wall-E and the beginning of Up - they can make you cry with little to no dialogue.

I almost cried when I finally killed the platebug queen in Blades of Avernum! Most annoying monster! Lots of health, regenerates, and pops out a slew of platebugs every odd round.

Hmm. I don't necessarily "cry" but I shed tears when reading sad stories and watching sappy movies heh. I haven't read My Little Dashie yet, so maybe that will make me cry. But first I need to find the time... Curse you school work!
