Life-long Bobby Labonte fan here. Strong disliker of Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch, but I can stand everyone else just fine. And no, NASCAR (and motorsports in general) is probably one of the least boring sports in the world. It takes an incredible amount of skill just to get those cars up to speed, much less to do it at a place like Daytona and Talladega with 42 other cars, closer together than most people park.
Jimmie is the reason I stopped watching the races. No poont watch when he's gonna win the up again. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Jimmie Johnson I don't mind so much as a person, I just found myself rooting against him a lot because I bored of seeing him win every week. Although I didn't mind Darlington very much since I thought he was due a win, I still get really uneasy whenever he's running up front. As for Busch, I just don't like his attitude. He always acts like a cocky hothead and feels the need to blow up at someone if something doesn't go his way (remember that little incident with Hornaday at Texas last year?). I know he says he's trying to clean up his act, but, well, I'll believe it when I see it.
I hate all of handrix motorsports, that whole team angers me. I like busch, I like the way he acts. I loved when other fans booed and I was cheering. Silly nascar fans, kyle is awesome and your all jello about it. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I like fast car racing VROOM! I shall root for Allmendinger because his name is the funniest! although acording to what I am reading he is not very good.
Man, I like Johnson. Still wish Biffle woulda won, though, he was in the top 3 until the first yellow came up.
Allmendinger has actually shown a lot of promise, he just hasn't had very good equipment in which to show it. But ever since he signed with Penske last year, he's been running up front more consistently.
Nationwide Series qualifier on friday, who's watching? I'm really hoping [Danica] Patrick can step up her game and get in the chase for the cup
Really? No one? Ahhem... Yeah I'll take F1 or Superbike racing over NASCAR all day.
Sorry if this is considered a bump, but since he was previously mentioned earlier in the thread, I figured it was worth a mention that Allmendinger has failed to pass a mandatory drug test and is out of the #22 for an indefinite amount of time. He will undergo a split specimen test this coming Tuesday for a final ruling and risks facing some serious consequences. It also looks like Ryan Blaney will be taking over the #22 for the next few races, and if worst comes to worst and Allmendinger is ejected from Penske Racing for good, there's a chance Ryan's father Dave could take over the ride full-time. I hate to see this happen to such a promising young driver, but if Dave Blaney DOES take the wheel full-time, I wouldn't be disappointed. Blaney's a great guy and skilled driver, and I think he could do wonders in competitive equipment. Thoughts?
Why hello everypony! I just found this thread! I am a huge NASCAR fan! And I live in England. As far as I know, I am one of very few NASCAR fans in England. I'm the only English NASCAR fan here I think. My favourite driver is Dale Earnhardt Sr. But if were talking modern day NASCAR, my fav is Dale Earnhardt Jr. Naturally.
Well, if you're a Jr. fan, you must be pretty pleased with how his year has gone. 14 top-tens, 8 top-fives, and a win. Not to mention that, somehow, he's managed to complete every single lap of competition so far.
